The property was what you would expect for the price. The pool had way too much chlorine. Breakfast was poor. No hot food options. The cold options were minimal, no fresh fruit. The door keys didn’t work properly so we had to make multiple trips to the front desk daily. There were also small cockroaches in the bathroom that came out at night. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Hotel was clean. Was suppose to get queen beds but they are full beds. Beds make noaie when you move around in them. Very close to freeway so make sure you have earplugs of light sleeper. Pool was cold and smaller than we thought. Breakfast is just fruit, oatmeal, muffin, or slice of toast.

Notes Facing I-85 so make sure you get a room on the backside. No elevator to reach the 2nd floor. Feels threadbare. Could use a refresh. The door lock was slow and took multiple tries to unlock. The desk chair was broken and the cushion was flat with no support. The room was clean. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up. The bathroom door handle was partially loose and hanging. The A/C unit is a good white noise source and works well. The bathroom fan is also a good white noise source as its very loud. You get what you pay for here. A clean room with minor issues at a good price.

Ok I guess...not sure about the area but didn't give a good vibe at the dead end. But didn't have any issues with that. Indoor pool closed way too early. No elevator. Room was extremely hot, finally reached temp around 3am. Breakfast was minimal. But not all bad, we felt it was very clean and well maintained. Easy check in and out.

The door keys would not work for anyone stood there trying to get the card to work Very aggravating.

For starters, the pool was closed due to the possibility of the ceiling caving in. There were pieces of the ceiling floating in the water but no signs were posted to warn customers. The door to the pool was unlocked as well. The laundry room was filthy. They gave us a room that was still getting cleaned at the time of check in. The rooms looked very old and worn, and so did the covers on the bed. The mattress offered a well rested sleep. The microwave and fridge were leaning on the stand it was on but I’m not sure why. The breakfast was very bland. The noise from the highway was very frustrating.

Staff friendly, but that was the only positive point. There was a funky smell in my room and in the stairwells which were also very dirty. Breakfast apparently is first come first serve and they do not replenish because when I came down at 8 AM (breakfast advertised 6-9 AM) there was only bread, apples, and oatmeal. I don’t think there’s an elevator, which makes things very difficult if you have a large suitcase and aren’t on the first floor. I will not be staying there again.

My only complaint is that our room did not get very cool and we had to end up, opening the window to cool it down, but the hotel manager was amazing and came in and worked on it and brought us a fan to help, also would like to mention the breakfast is extremely limited, toast, and muffins, coffee juice, oatmeal. Don’t expect a hot breakfast, but there’s a few basic items so you won’t be hungry. I really like the manager, Dixon, he was a bright light and very helpful. Lastly, the pool was clean and fun!

Room smothered with urine smells, like room never been cleaned and floor stained with urine. Bed was making broken noise on every which way you turn. Never recommend this place to anyone. No accommodation by staff at all and still have the nerve to charge me extra night for not staying there.

We realized we didn't chose a top line hotel for our 1 night stay but we did chose their best room available. We booked a suite, but as I opened the door i was greated by a smell of mold and something else i could not describe. The sink's counter top was sticky, the bathroom is when the smell was the heaviest. The bathtub was stained, rusty and looked dingy. The roomhad a whirlpool which worked well all though very loud. The outlet next to the bed had no power and the couch in our room had a smell and stains I don't even want to know from where. Either 1 of us got sleep as all we heard all night was everyone in the next room talking or the TV turned way up or them going in and out 90 times. I've stayed at some lower star hotels for just a night but this 1 took the cake.

Cockroaches are unacceptable. I’m not talking about smoky brown cockroaches and “palmetto bugs” that are present everywhere in NC, I’m talking about German cockroaches. These are considered a health hazard and uninhabitable, and I also recognize how near impossible it is to eradicate them from a building that size. This was the first time I’ve seen that in a hotel and it was unnerving, but I guess you get what you pay for. Counter clerks were very nice otherwise

Check in was great, friendly staff. Hotel was clean, room was clean and bed was confortable. After reading some reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Also price was very good.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke the bathroom had been cleaned it not clean enough the sheets had stains on them and I had to keep getting new keys for my room because they wouldn’t work for the door.

I checked in around 8pm. The first room had a smell. The manger change my room. While I saying in room #2 I thought I saw a roche. The next day in the afternoon when I returned I saw a dead roche on the floor. I went to complain to the front desk to ask for another room. The person behind the said "we are sold out tonight" I demand another room finally the person behind the desk gave me a new room. Also while in room #2 NO ONE came to clean while I was gone. I was told by manger house keeping only works in the morning.

Do not listen to any of the good reviews — this place was awful. The entire hotel smelled like smoke the moment we walked in. The management responses online are a joke, and when I brought the issues up in person, they didn’t care at all. Our room was disgusting:     •    The toilet didn’t even work.     •    There were squished roaches on the wall.     •    Cigarette buds were literally under the bed. We couldn’t even stay the night — we left after just three hours because the smell was unbearable. Save your money and beware of this place.

This property is a rat hole. The kid or kids upstairs kept running all night and woke up early in the morning RUNNING and it sounded like a bunch of buffalos. It smelled like mildew in the room. Not to mention there was a fabric torn chair in the room. What kind of mess is this.

Front desk can be a little bit more friendly. The hallways were not clean. We had no laundry bag in our room. It was OK stay the thermostat on the wall does not operate. The heating and air unit had to operate the unit from its own controls. could use some upgrades But for the price it was all right.

This was not a great place to stay. We were given a room on the 2nd floor- and learned there was no elevator. When we got to our room- it had a smell of body odor that was overpowering. The room was very hot- it was 87° and the AC was off. The door handle to rhe bathroom was coming off. The door to the room did not shut without a kick. The blankets on one bed had make-up all over it. The beds were very small and very firm- and one bed made a lot of noise when you moved. The light bulbs in the main light fixture had broken off- so the lamps did not work. About half of the outlets in the room did not work. Our stay was only for 1 night, but for the price we paid- we were VERY UNHAPPY with the quality of our hotel experience.

Rooms were clean and neatly kept, location is directly beside a highway, and the building needs a proper refurbishment as several other doors are missing latches and the bathroom door is falling out of its framing.

Didn’t like the location. Had to use stairs to get to our room. Had no internet. Had no hand soap to use at the sink.

We were traveling for our grandfathers funeral, he had been battling cancer for 7 years and there was just nothing to do but wait. We came up here to spend his final moments with him, he passed on the 28th. Our hotel was supposed to be our place we could calm down from the day and get through this horrible week. I was in room 212 and I can’t even explain how bad our stay was and how it was truly a nightmare for us during this time. For the character limits sake: there were roaches and nothing was done about them, there were stains and burn holes from cigarettes in our sheets and again no care was given by staff, the hallway constantly reeked of cigarette smoke and yet it’s a no smoking hotel. That was a factor in why I chose this place because my boyfriend has anaphylactic reactions to cigarette smoke but we just hoped he didn’t. Also, the bathroom door didn’t close, we were told the washer and dryer worked so my brother put his clothes in only to find out they don’t after he poured the detergent on them. He tried to ask the guy at the front desk for advice or help like a trash bag and he gave him a tiny little trash bag and said “it’s not my problem”. There was no hospitality, the desk guy was consistently rude, the room were rough, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel this bad.

Very unfriendly staff, they were all rude, disrespectful, and was not helpful with anything, one even laughed at me when I told her that the manager when asked her name she said words that I don't even want to say , asked me for a 150.00 deposit in cash until I check out the next day, the price of the room was not bad, but I will not be staying there anymore, I will stay in my car before I go back there

We had a leak the entire weekend promised a comp night and they were rude about not giving it to us

100 dollar deposit at check in

Required $100 cash deposit, after room was already paid for thru app and not listed anywhere that deposit is required. The room was ok, but the hallway smelled like smoke, the fridge in my room had beer in it.

When we checked in we could not understand the front desk agent and he acted like we were bothering him. We wanted to use the pool but the agent was giving me, a female, the creeps. There is a hole in the bathroom wall. I can see the metal stud. I can't tell the difference between laying in the bed and laying in the floor, the mattress is that hard. On checkout the front desk agent would not speak over a whisper in broken english. He went to do a room check and when he returned there was a line of people. Instead of finishing checking me out, he went through 3 other customers before our transaction. He even asked one of the customers in said line if they would like to have their deposit back. Afterwards, he acted like he wanted his paperclip back after handing it to me with my deposit. The breakfast consisted of apples and palm sized muffins. There was no refridgerator for milk or cream. I didn't bother checking to see if there was any orange juice. I don't drink coffee so there was no need for me to check that. Overall, we had a bad stay. We will never stay here again.

The hotel is in terrible condition and generally run-down and dirty. There is no elevator in this two-story hotel, so we had to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. And the one staircase the railing was popping out of the wall (see photo). But easily the worst part of the stay is the $100 cash deposit required of every guest. When I asked the attendant why there was a cash policy, she couldn't answer me. We needed a place to sleep, so I paid the $100 cash deposit. The next morning I go to check out, and they just hand me back the $100. They didn't go check to see if I caused any damage in the room or anything. They help my $100 in cash in an envelope behind the desk for about 11 hours, and that was is it. And there was no mention of a "cash deposit" policy here on Hotels dot com. I will never stay at this hotel again, and likely won't ever look at a Super 8 hotel again.

Great location. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The room was absolutely perfect. Thank you Hotels.com for a nearly perfect overnight stay!!

Checked in and the place stunk of marijuana, had to run to appointments came back and windows were open from rooms with horrible smell of marijuana. Pics didn’t match what room should look like. Very poor lighting. Checked out 4 hours later and front desk never even asked if there were problems. Did not feel safe so we made a move. Found another hotel and will never even attempt another Super 8.

We stayed five days, staff was not attentive but they were helpful. I was given an upstairs room and it was unclean and smell like peed. I went and told them and I was switched to another room. We stayed there and it was good. The staff would clean it daily and that was appreciated. Clean towels provided daily. It is an ok place for the price paid. Convenient for sure!

Location, off the beaten path.

I did not stay. When I saw the type of place and location I did not feel safe. The loitering outside was a bit much . We stated elsewhere

While the place is what you expect for the price, the staff are wonderful and very respectful. Please know this does not reflect the staff. But the bathroom has a mold smell. The walls have stains and the floors as well. The bed was dated but comfortable. The area is very unsafe for a family’s. The photos on the place are very misleading. However if you are in a pinch and need to stay somewhere, go with it.

1 night stay while on college tour. This is a MOTEL not a hotel/ resort. It’s literally for shutting your eyes and leaving in the morning. It’s kinda sketchy off the beaten path at a dead end at the end of an access road running next to 85. It’s around good places to eat and shop within 3 mins. But still put me on edge as a parent with teenager. The motel stinks like vomiting on the 1st floor. I think someone in comments said curry! No it’s vomit. Beds comfortable pillows soft room is clean as long as you’re not looking too hard. Once you start looking you’ll find dirty corners stained tile torn curtains. Just go to sleep. There were no bugs, no drug paraphernalia just a little smelly and older. Breakfast consisted of apple muffins and toast and OJ. Don’t expect much - it’s Continental Did have some very noisy neighbors- could not handle the smell coming from room so the front desk vet happily changed rooms for us and we slept great leaving 7am. No issue upon check out. Hope this helps.
