Royal Oak Hotel

Stayed in a twin lodge room. Overall the room was clean comfortable and well maintained. The hotel had a lovely restaurant and bar area and is well located in the town centre. I was disappointed with a few things however and expected more for the price of the hotel: The breakfast costs £15 and the portions are very small with a limited buffet option. The breakfast staff were not particularly welcoming and got the order wrong on both days we stayed. I recommend not paying for breakfast in advance to keep your options open. The single beds in our twin were very small. Narrower than a standard single and the mattress were not very supportive so I didn’t get a great nights sleep during my stay. Overall disappointed with my stay and think there are better value options available.
