The staff at this property were great. The room was clean and updated. Beds are very comfortable. The property was being updated and they were working in some closed areas. It was not a problem except that the dust and trash made its way over the property. Overall it was what we needed at the time.

Parking spots could be a little bigger. Many spots looked like they were for compact cars

Parking is horrible,came back after a college game and there was not any parking at all, went to front desk and he was clueless as to what to do, i felt like it wasent his problem so he didnt care. I wasent going to leave until there was a solution or give me my money back, he finally said i could park in the front grassy area in front of the motel, yes, motel, this is definetly not a hotel, but i paid 220 for for one night thinking it was a nicer hotel! Not worth it at all!!! But its done, will definetly not stay here again for rhat price, my fault, should have researched better!!

Definitely close to rental tubes for floating in the river and quick drive to downtown but very noisy due to remodeling. Looked a lil sketchy from the outside but was an okay stay for the price.

My daughter and I were very disappointed. The floors needed cleaned, the air was off so it was hot in the room, (it did cool off nicely by the next day) the sheets and bedding was stained, the decorative pillows were dirty with different types of stains, the wash clothes were stained up - I did ask for different bedding and towels and felt like at least they came from a “clean closet” in the office. We had to change everything though/ maybe that’s normal though. The woman at the desk was less than friendly but the man was pleasant. The breakfast really was nonexistent and the office/space it is held in feels dingy and dirty. The outside space was pretty gross and it is very loud inside the room from outside noise. The pool looked nice but we didn’t spend any time there in order to swim because the hotel was so uncomfortable. I know this is silly but we were on the second floor with no elevator. Ice machine was working but missing a piece so it was loud and the ice came out crazy. I guess you get what you pay for but the pictures on the listing 100% don’t match the hotel in real life. Sadly. I did add one pic of the worst bed, we ended up sleeping in the other bed together as it was the least dirty/stained. I’m sad to leave a negative review but I should have read more before I stayed.

Although close to the highway (off the access road), our stay was quiet - or we were so tired we didn't notice. Had all the supplies in room for coffee and room was clean. Parking lot is well lit.

The pictures online didn’t look like the real place. It look very unkept and dirty the outside. It had a lot of trash and old mattresses and broken furniture outside under the stairwell. Didn’t feel too safe. Table broken n the room and very very cold, Had to turn the heater up to 90 and took most of the night to warm it up,

Looks renovated and nice but they didnt have enough parking.

There were roaches in the bathrooms, the shower curtains were stained red/pink, and the towels were stained brownish. Found a better reservation in new Braunfels at best western

We ended up packing our stuff and leaving at 3 am because of bed bugs in our room.

Breakfast is kept out 24/7. The cereal and serving equipment look like they used them for a dog, then put them out for food. The room was dusty everywhere and had a lot of bugs in it to the point that my toddler picked one up and handed it to me. Nothing was clean, and no housekeeping came during my stay. I guess if you want cheap, you get cheap and dirty.

Room was clean, shower was hot, bed and pillow were super comfy and ac was cold!

Thoroughly impressed with how clean the room was. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C was super cold. Will definitely be back.

It was clean , staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, water pressure was good, room had plenty of space. I would stay again.

Dirty towels left in bathroom food from guests before left in the fridge bedding wasnt that clean with stains left behind.

The hotel was older that on the pictures on line. The rooms were not pleasing to see plus the linen on the beds had human hairs and the light fixtures to the bathroom did not work. We were given another room and I was hoping that it would be different but, it was the same. The linen was dirty and there were stains in each bed. I was so disappointed and the front desks did not have other extra rooms.

The room was very modern and very clean. I was really impressed with the couch very comfortable, and the bed was comfortable too. The parking lot was clean. It was quiet all night and the established friendly.

We checked in got to the room internet was almost nonexistent as well as the tv kept going out hair dryer did not work bed was lumpy breakfast was a joke some coffee, a few muffins, package of oatmeal and cereal no milk, no juice, no condiments.

It was OK for a quick overnight stay. It was clean and they had good TV channels. The overall place is pretty dumpy, though, and it's right off the highway, so you hear the traffic continuously.

Nice sized room with excellent AC. Bed and pillows were super comfortable.

My stay was decent. The room was semi-clean, the microwave and fridge needed mor cleaning. I did not like how I could hear the freeway all night.

I got to the location about 9 hours after my intended arrival, in the MIDDLE of the night, and the clerk was so kind! He even offered to help me carry my bag up the stairs since I had an upstairs room! The bed was amazingly comfy, and the shower was awesome. Even being THAT close to a major highway, the room was quiet, with the door shut, I couldn’t even hear the traffic!

The deadbolt on our door was not lined up properly so it did not come close to locking. The AC was loud and would not stay cold. The entire system was outdated with no temperature setting at all. The ice bucket had black grime in it and the coffee pot was missing parts so it was impossible to make a cup of coffee. Overall it was doable for our one night but I will definitely not stay there again. When I shared the concerns with the front desk staff at checkout they did not seem to care too much because they didnt write anything down to convey to the staff.

This has been the worst experience I have had in a long time and the people at the Hotel were very rude and did not do the room cleaning. When I approached them to ask why they had not done it, they told me that because there was no staff and that I did want to go I could It was 8 at night to go and with a person who didn't care that they were in a wheelchair and it was very very cold, I will never stay in that hotel in my life and I don't recommend it,

They kept my $50 security deposit. I was only there for a few hours to sleep. I've never trashed a motel/ hotel in my life and i certainly didn't start doing so this night. I have a feeling they may keep most of the deposits, if it's not disputed, more money for them. Keep an eye on them. I will never be back

Did not look like the pictures. Charged me to $92, $1 & then full price for the two night stay. I did the “convenient link” for speedy and easy checkout and requested later complimentary check out and was denied unless I paid. There was fighting and disturbances and called front desk and they did nothing about it. Went on from 1:40-4am

The property was nice cleanliness, good we had a little issue with plumbing in our room. They did not hesitate to move us with no problems. Great experience, wonderful location not too far from a lot of family activities and restaurants. I would definitely stay again reasonable priced.

Do not stay here. Staff will double charge you then call the police when you have an issue.

I like the surroundings where it's located , close to Chick-fil-A, Hawaiian Bros, HEB, the San Marcos River. The rooms were clean, the staff were always available when we needed things. Thank you for letting us enjoy the quietness and peaceful area, I needed that when I worked overnights

Rooms are looking good, nice clean and so peaceful, looking forward to my next time, nothing I don't like, near stores, restaurants, very close to IH35

Cereal and bread for breakfast? Really.

Building seemed to be the original. Some effort to paint and upgrade. Outside was not the cleanest. “Breakfast” was very simple toast, bagels, packaged muffins, instant oatmeal, fruit loops, and coffee; no fruit or fruit juice.

Almost nothing left for breakfast at 8am. Just a bowl of apples, dry cereal, and instant oatmeal. Room card didn’t work and had to be replaced. Telephone in room didn’t work. Electric outlet between the beds didn’t work. I tried to charge my phone and had to plug it in at the bathroom sink area to re-charge it. Will not stay at Howard Johnson again

The staff did not clean or restock the room. The breakfast consisted of cereal, small muffins, or bagles. Nats were in the cabinet with the muffins. The coffee was cold at the office and not restocked at the room. The magnetic key had to be swipped 5 to 6 times to work.

The room was a mess when I get the room, they’re moving us to a new room and was okay, beds has chocolate crumbs, and the breakfast was a joke, no bowls for cereal oh no! Terrible stay!

I would recommend for the complimentary breakfast to have microwaveable bowls available for the oatmeal instead of only providing styrofoam bowls bc they melt in the microwave. How else could we make the oatmeal you provided without the correct bowls. Also, would be better if the breakfast provided something cold to drink like orange juice or apple juice instead of only hot coffee.
