I love this hotel, beautiful facility, great staff, great location...BUT...no in-room fridge which is a must for most all family travelers and most lower end hotels have them standard, plus no ventilation/fan in the bathroom?!, no in-room microwave, and a hot tub that has a not-in-service panel boarded up and hasn't been working for at least the last 2 years I've been going. Come on, you're better than this.

No free breakfast, despite checking “Breakfast Included” as one of the search terms when booking. Parts of this hotel (esp pool) are run-down. Whirpool not working. Room was not serviced / refreshed after first night. Location perfect for the downtown Abe Lincoln sites but otherwise this was barely average to below average

The Lincoln is a decent hotel - inside it was clean, if not a bit dated. The parking garage next to it is a bit sketchy - lot of trash going around. The staff was fairly friendly. The big negative for this hotel was that of 3 elevators, only one seemed to be working. You have 12 floors - 20 rooms per floor. I was on the 11th floor... It was just slow slow going. The elevator held about 6 people. The hotel was full...

This property needs updating badly. The room was spacious but just did not feel clean. There are 3 elevators for this property and only 1 is working. The sink in the bathroom took a long time to drain and the bathroom had a sewer-type smell. The free cookies that were offered had walnuts (not everybody likes this) and were as hard as a rock. Parking was a pain, ask the public parking garage meter did not supply us with a ticket and we had to call into the service just to get out. This property was extremely overpriced for the value.

The room was big enough, but needs work. There was mildew on some molding, the shower was barely a trickle and the bathroom tiles were loose and dirty. The food was terrible.

Room was musty smelling. Hallway smelled of marijuana. Bed linens extremely wrinkled. Bathroom sink cracked and slow/stopped drain. Bathroom floor tiles chipped. Not what I would expect from a Hilton and at an expensive rate.

The room smelled extremely musty.. also the tile in the bathrooms were torn and the showers were worn down. For the high price of a room there, I would have thought the upkeep would be a lot better. Definitely not almost 400$ a night.

I was floored how filthy this hotel was. The floors throughout the entire hotel looked liked they hadn’t been vacuumed in months. One of the elevators stopped and opened when it was only halfway to the floor. The restaurant was closed indefinitely. For the money I paid for this hotel, I expected it to be MUCH nicer. The staff were all nice and helpful. But it is a very unclean hotel and it’s outdated. Was one of my worse experiences at a hotel, ever.

This property is very dated, not what i would expect for a Doubletree and certainly not for the price I paid for the room. The bathroom had 4"x4" tile which normally is on the walls in a 1970\'s house, but it was on the floor and then they painted them and the paint was obviously flaking off. Looked terrible. the shower either had black mold or dirt all along the shower entry. The shower curtain was not long enough, so the floor got water all over it. The floor towel for the shower was soaking wet. There was no way to prevent it from happening. Only small issue with Housekeeping. I didn\'t notice until 6 AM they had not put any towels other than hand towels in the room. called and it took them 45 minutes to bring towels. Called twice. Front desk blamed Housekeeping and Housekeeping blamed Front desk. Neither story of why matched. Not happy. I took pictures of the bathroom.

The hotel is older and not in good shape. When we arrived in our room, we found an unclean toilet (had been used and toilet seat up), stains on the shower curtain and a very sticky bathroom floor.

The location was fabulous. We could walk to many of Lincoln attractions. That said, the hotel was outdated and less than pristine. We called and asked for housekeeping to come, and while they replaced towels, etc., they didn’t make the bed. There was no refrigerator in the room. The carpets throughout the hotel were stained, and there was mold in the bathroom shower.

The cleaning lady took my daughter’s bathing suit while cleaning the room and hotel staff were unable to locate it. We even filled out a missing item report, but it was never found and they did not offer any compensation. Would not stay here again.

The room was excessively hot during the night, and there was no way to control the temperature. I couldn’t sleep properly for two consecutive nights. On the second night, at 1 a.m., I contacted the front desk to report the issue. Unfortunately, they informed me that no assistance was available until the morning. As a temporary solution, they sent a fan to my room with a security guard. It was a truly horrible experience.

Although it is centrally located and very convenient to go do things in the center of Springfield and has a charming history it is badly in need of an update. Especially that there are no fridges in the rooms and no air conditioning unit for each room. The pool area was also badly in need of repair and refurbishment

Very slow check in, 20 plus minutes and I already had the reservation booked on Expedia. The hotel is very dated and loud, you can hear everything and it didn’t help we had very loud kids across the hall. Room was clean but had a musty smell to it. Very basic room, no refrigerator. I’ve been in much worse, but for the price of this room I would definitely not recommend it. You definitely can’t tell this is a Hilton brand hotel.

Generally the staff was welcoming, the common areas and the room were clean. The walls are very thin and when my neighbor came in late at night it sounded like he was right in my room with me.

Not worth the money spent. Room was outdated, television was 20 years old with 15 channels. Windows were drafty, heating and AC was awful. Shower doors almost fell off when getting in. Low Water pressure with an awful shower head. Toilet almost clogged every time we flushed. My son in another room had to stop using the toilet because it stopped working. Unacceptable and super disappointed.

It had been a few years since we'd last stayed at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. The property is appearing dated and they continue to have elevator issues based on other reviews. We experienced an issue with a clogged toilet, causing water to overflow onto the bathroom floor. After shutting the water off and calling at 12:30am, a security guard arrived with a plunger and four towels, said nothing and left. When checking out, we were not asked how our stay was and when I explained the toilet issue, I wasn't even offered as much as a parking voucher. The care for the property is paralleled by the care the staff puts forth. Needless to say, we won't be back to this hotel.

Very nice stay. We had issues with the tv and safe but they fixed them right away. So nice to have a wonderful welcome and easy accommodations.

Very slow check in, 20 plus minutes and I already had the reservation booked on Expedia. The hotel is very dated and loud, you can hear everything and it didn’t help we had very loud kids across the hall. Room was clean but had a musty smell to it. Very basic room, no refrigerator. I’ve been in much worse, but for the price of this room I would definitely not recommend it. You definitely can’t tell this is a Hilton brand hotel.

Rude staff, especially Sonja at the front desk. Property was run down. Elevators and ice machines frequently broke down. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Noisy air conditioner. Stained bed linens. Room not serviced each day. Hotel needs total refurbishment.

Great walking location for all the Lincoln sites in town. The desk staff were extremely good at checking with us throughout the stay to be sure we had all we needed.

Check in time was at 4pm. We arrived right at 4pm to find a lobby full of people waiting and no rooms ready. Staff was not able to give us an estimate on when rooms would be ready because they were still "dirty" Finally was able to get a room at 5:45pm when we returned to the desk asking for an update and keys asap as we were to be somewhere and hadn't even had time to get ready. It ruined our evening plans and we had very upset daughters. They did not offer a discount or anything for the future which is very poor customer service. Never had this experience anywhere else.

Get the breakfast. The manager was so wonderful. Needed a to go container and he was beyond helpful and kind. Give that guy a raise.

Rooms werent ready for check in, had a digital key and still had to wait in line for over an hour and a half to check in at the front desk. We missed our dinner reservation because we couldnt get in our rooms to get ready. I had called ahead and asked for a rollaway bed, spoke to the hotel directly to confirm its availability, they assured me it would be , it was not, and was not an option. Our room had 1 set of towels in the bathroom (king suite) and what appeared to be fecal matter residue swiped around the base of the toilet . The parking garage did not give.out tickets and i was charged $25 for a *lost* ticket upon departure. The cheer comp teams took up ALL the space and noone enforced the rules about no loud music, yelling,stunting etc...the location had been booked for a year for this comp and they only had 2 people working the front desk and apparently not enough housekeeping to have rooms ready in time. It was after 6 before we were able to check in and haul the 11 flights of stairs to our room...and then our physical keys didnt work. When i asked.for a new one the next morning, she just asked for my room number, SHE said my name to confirm and handed me a key without asking for ID . Wasnt who checked us in, so i could have said any room.

I always love staying at the Lincoln hotel. Its location is perfect for anything in the historic section of the city. Everything you'd want to do is within walking distance. Love this the hotel!!

Not a safe place to stay. They don’t have parking and tells you to park at the public garage next to the hotel. Someone broke my car window and stole some of my stuff. Be careful!

Very nice place to stay. Right next door to the BOS where we had tickets to see Jeff Dunham. Great parking facility. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Hotel was okay. No towels in pool area. Also the water looked very cloudy and the locker room looked very unclean. Need to paint areas also. Breakfast food was not good. The fruit was spoiled and the food was cold despite being on a warmer. If you do enjoy breakfast pay the extra money when you book.

The room was big enough, but needs work. There was mildew on some molding, the shower was barely a trickle and the bathroom tiles were loose and dirty. The food was terrible.

It would be nice if they had there own parking lot to park. All the Hilton properties have free continental breakfast. We could have breakfast for 2 days - for 40.00 dollars. Everything else was great.

The location is excellent - if you're there to see history on Abraham Lincoln, there are many things within walking distance. You will need to pay for parking and food services. That said, the service at the restaurant is excellent. Rooms are clean and the environment of the hotel feels historic.

Room was nicer than pictured. The lobby was a bit grungy with furniture that looked worn and stained. Not sure if there is anything nicer with a very central location. I would book there again.

The room was very nice and loved the view from the 10th floor! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel located near Lincoln Museum and Home. The restaurant staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was good!

We checked in just after 4pm and waited in a long line for check-in. There was one worker checking people in and the other worker was on the phone and would occasionally check someone in. There was absolutely no urgency. When it was our turn to check in, we were told that our room was not ready. He still took my ID and credit card for incidentals and told us we would be called as soon as a manager could approve our room which wouldn’t take very long. Luckily, another person in our group allowed us to use the restroom and change clothes in his room because we had dinner reservations at 5:30. At 5:15, we had to leave for dinner and stopped by the front desk to check the status of our room. We talked to the same worker who acted as though he didn’t even know who we were. I had to provide my ID again and when I said to him “we just gave you all of this an hour ago” his response was that that was a pre-check. We were finally given keys and arrived late to our dinner reservation. I’m a Hilton honors member and was not given credit because I booked through this website and when I inquired about an adjustment due to the late check in, I was told they couldn’t help me because I prepaid through a third party site. The room smelled musty. The door to the bathroom was partially blocked by the toilet. I would not stay at this property again.
