Grand Hotel Don Juan

This property used to be at a top level. The service, food and cleanliness are still good but not at a 4 star level and certainly not for the price they are wanting. The rooms are very dated and back to a time ( maybe some of you can remember) when expensive hotels bought the early LCD TVs and they were 13” but that was amazing back in the mid 1990’s. those TVs have not been updated and since. Nor the Channel lists to include English. All in all, great service and beach access is the only thing to write about here.

Hotel clean, breakfast was great with a wide selection of items. Pool and Bar was closed guess 3rd & 4th week of Sept are off season. Great place to stay.

Die Matratze war durchgelegen, der Balkon mit Algen verdreckt, Fenster aussen müssen dringend gestrichen werden. Die Poolzeiten werden nicht eingehalten und man muss für ein Strandtuch extra zahlen.Am Strand bekam man nur widerwillig Liegen. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich.

Don't get me wrong, I would stay here again - the prices were beyond reasonable and the access to the private beach and pool access was amazing. However, the room needed some TLC - mostly just the shower. The first day we took a shower, the shower head flew off and I was left being sprayed with a water hose. Did I tell the staff, I did. Were they alarmed, they were! Did they do anything about it? They did not - for 4 days we showered with a water hose and twice the cleaning staff cleaned the room and saw the detached shower head sitting by the towels. Second, the coffee machine at breakfast produced the most acidic coffee - I stopped drinking coffee in favor of tea. But the breakfast was decent and included in the price of the room. However, the website said the resort fee would be per accommodation and the price quoted by Expedia was per room - but at the time of check out the resort fee was charged for double occupancy. Still, it was only 7.20€ per day - I can't really complain about that. Also on Expedia, it's called the resort fee at check out it's called the club card. Just an fyi. What else, the cafè staff were lovely, they added an extra beer to our tab that we didn't order, but there were plenty of freebies at apertivo, I am not so upset about the extra 6€. At the end of the day, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed at, but there are things the hotel could do to improve.

Struttura nelle vicinanze del centro facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. Non mi sono piaciuti costi occulti che in fase di prenotazione non sono stati dichiarati ma solo a valle della conferma in fondo alla mail, che onestamente mi ero persa ma ben presente in fase di check-out

Great hotel, on the beach. A classical, large vintage hotel, with traditional values and Italian heritage and service. Top quality front desk, breakfast staff and what a fantastic location. Rooms are dates, but why be in the room. Use the massive lobby, and Pool areas. Special mention to the warmth exudes by all staff, especially Emmanuelle

The hotel is really “Grand!” Eventually, it will be updated for aesthetic reasons. But, for now - everything is functional and looks good, even though,- not very modern looking. But, everything is kept clean and tidy.marble stairs, high ceilings. Large rooms, wide balconies. Decent mattresses, refrigerator.

Hotel vetusto che necessita di una profonda ristrutturazione pulizia da migliorare, personale gentile , colazione al limite della sufficienza

Hotel was clean and desk staff efficient and friendly. Room was Ok but no in-room coffee. Dinner was disappointing. Food was OK, service was not as friendly as front desk. Slightly condescending and very reluctantly performed. Felt more like Paris than beachfront hotel in Italy.

Nonostante che l'hotel sia un po' datato è comunque pulito con grandi stanze ed il personale gentile. Tornerò molto volentieri

Le cose positive: 1. Personale all'accettazione gentili, professionale e competente. 2. Vicinanza al mare disponibilità spiaggia privata, vicinanza ai luoghi di interesse. 3. Camere e bagni spaziosi, letti puliti, baincheria impeccabile. 4. Colazione buona e abbondante. Le attenzioni da porre maggiormente: 1. Personale di sala durante la colazione preparato ma poco attento, dover attendere 15 minuti per chiedere un caffè e del latte di soia, perché solo alcuni camerieri sono autorizzato a farlo, senza possibilità di distinguere chi sparecchia e chi prende le ordinazioni, non è da struttura di livello. 2. Le stanze avevano al posto del "pulsante" per lo sciacquone una manopola corta è inaccettabile nel 2024. 3. La rubinetteria dei bagni dovrebbe essere sostituita visto lo stato avanzato di ossidazione, sempre considerando che l'hotel ha 4 stelle, 4. All'interno del bagno a muro è presente, credo, una scatola con il coperchio quasi aperto e con visibile quantità di polvere.

Das Hotel ist gepflegt und sauber, eben so wie von einem Gast erwartet. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und auch bei dem Zimmer gibt es keinerlei Beanstandungen. Hotel liegt unmittelbar gegenüber dem Sandstrand. Optimal! Die Küche ist einfach aber geschmacklich gut. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Struttura anni 60. Spazi molto ampi, che è un bene, mobilio di 50 anni fa, bagni idem. Insonorizzazione assente, ogni volta che un vicino di stanza tira lo sciacquone, sembra che te la faccia in testa. É ora di capire che siamo nel 2025…

Stanza datata: intonaco tolto in diversi punti, mal pulita, cerniere delle finestre arrugginite. Insonorizzazione assente: il mare agitato ci ha tenuto svegli tutte e due le notti; ciliegina....federa bucata

Grand Hotel vicino al mare con camere ampie, molto grandi, con (per quanto riguarda noi almeno) vista mare con una bel terrazzino abitabile fresco e bello. La struttura dell’albergo è da migliorare perché è rimasta ancora ai tempi che furono e la clientela mediamente ha un’età piuttosto avanzata. La colazione continentale con servizio veramente efficace e professionale ma da rivedere sui prodotti e sulla qualità. I letti comodi con un buon materasso che rende il soggiorno veramente confortevole. Neo non da poco e che invito l’albergo a rimediare immediatamente, è la privacy, perché le camere a volte sono comunicanti con una porta e non sono affatto insonorizzate, tanto da poter sentire completamente le conversazioni dell’altra persona nella stanza adiacente. Immaginatevi se ci fosse una coppia o altro, magari una famiglia con bambini accanto, il soggiorno sarebbe invivibile. Prego immediatamente l’albergo a risolvere questa situazione, per i clienti futuri, perché siamo al limite della privacy.

Hotel lungomare, oltre 130 camere, un 4 stelle che però oggi ha perso un pò di smalto diventando un pò vintage. Colazione buona, ottima posizione, pulito e personale disponibile e professionale. Avrebbe bisogno di un ammodernamento soprattutto per migliorare l'insonorizzazione nelle camere. Esperienza comunque positiva.

La struttura è molto datata ma la cosa peggiore sono i rumori... Tra stanze, con la musica sotto.. le finestre inesistenti davvero invalidante. Se ti affacci sul mare quindi sulla consolle nn puoi riposare sino a mezzanotte l'una perché al di là della musica ci sono rumori schiamazzi che ovviamente sarebbero limitati con un restauro almeno degli infissi. È tutto sommato pulita, una colazione abbondante e disponibile anche l'angolo pappe x neonati. Cmq personale alla reception un po' troppo presuntuoso. C e stato un confronto sul fatto che avessi pagato o meno (ovviamente avevo pagato già da giorni) e nn e stato facile fare comprendere che avevo pagato. Non mi sono piaciuti i modi. Non lo consiglierei. Cmq non costa poco

L'hotel è in un ottima posizione e la struttura sarebbe anche molto buona non fosse che è tutto davvero vecchio e consunto.

Hotel comodo, un po datato con bisogno di manutenzione. Le camere vista mare e le suites sono però comode . Accettano i cani domestici e per questo merita di essere uno dei migliori a Giulianova .

Albergo dalla posizione invidiabile, ma decisamente lasciato alla sorte del tempo. Camere e mobili molto vecchi, che risentono pesantemente delle inadeguatezze e delle funzionalità non in linea con quelle attuali. Per quanto le camere siano molto grandi, non essendo climatizzate risentono molto delle oscillazioni esterne, in quanto gli infissi non sono a tenuta termica. Ho dovuto tenere acceso tutta la notte l'unico termicovettore per cercare di rendere più consono il soggiorno. La parte migliore è il posto, con moto verde ed una visuale straordinaria. Peccato che sia tenuto in uno stato di quasi abbandono, perché le dimensioni e la location sono vincenti.

Sono andato in bassa stagione. 15 ottobre. Per quello che ho pagato non mi posso lamentare proprio di niente. Ottima colazione e ottimo parcheggio

Pastries were recycled from the day before. Scrambled eggs were not replenished. The quality was poor as it was dried up
