The property shows its age. The pool was VERY cold, for August you expect a pool that kids can stay in longer than few minutes!! We booked a suite with 5 people. Arrived late and had 3 towels for 5 people. We made do. Next day, housekeeping left 2 clean towels. I had to go to front desk to get enough for our group. Rooms need updated !!!! Wont return.

I did not like the unexpected charge of $12 per day parking for a hotel that has a regular parking lot, not covered, not secure, not downtown, just a charge to make money and not in the Travelocity listing price.

They no longer have a hot tub which was a huge disappointment for us. The pool also is 3-6’ the entire pool so if you have little ones like I do (3 under 4) that’s really hard. It’s also freezing the kids were purple within 10 minutes so we were roaring the kids so they could warm up. The breakfast was amazing. My only suggestion is separate tongs for the omelette ingredients. I am allergic to mushrooms and they use the same tongs for all the ingredients so I had an allergic reaction. Luckily my kind of reaction isn’t life or death. We had the king size suite which was nice. Had the littles in the living area and myself and oldest in the king as she has a later bed time. DO NOT purchase the resort credit. I spent about $90 extra to get the resort credit and this hotel does not honor any resort credit. Still waiting to see if I can get that back from hotels.com. Honestly the breakfast options are what will have us coming back in the future. Unless we find something comparable with a better family friendly pool.

The stay was great, rooms and breakfast were awesome. Only downfall was the kids and adults were really looking forward to swimming and sitting in the hot tub but…. The pool was being worked on and there was NO hot tub so weren’t able to do any of that which was a real bummer

Room was nice, with a living room type area separate from the bedroom. The mattress and pillows were very nice. Ice machines on 3 floors I looked were not working but desk attendant was nice enough to get some ice from the kitchen.

An elevator wasn't working the entire time I was there. Microwave didn't work, reported it to a worker who said they'd let them know, but no one showed up to fix it. A light was out but that did get fixed. Very noisy - nothing the hotel can do about that but it added to the list.

Bathroom lacks exhaust fan which explains the mold. Rude breakfast staff refusing is service till I pointed out I was ordering for the full table. Property is aging bad. There are better options out there people. Skip this one.

The atrium is beautiful for this building, but the rest of it is out of date. Our room was filthy- there was syrup all over the wall and headboard, pink scum in the bar sink, and stains on the carpet that were crusty…. Gross!!

Facility is getting slightly dated, furnishings showing wear, but this hotel is my favorite to stay at when traveling to the Minneapolis area. It is close to attractions, has a great breakfast with omelet bar and very friendly, helpful staff.

My group was pleasantly surprised by the room set up. It has a suite feeling to it. The door between the sleeping area and receiving/desk area was a nice touch. The little bit of separation is really nice for family with kids or business travel. We tried to take advantage of the social time with a free drink and snacks. The hours is from 5- 6:30, so mostly likely to be out about, but if you happen to be in the hotel. It's a nice touch. I also really enjoyed the courtyard design, gives the hotel a really open feel.

Not so good: insufficient lighting in sitting room, spider w/web in corner of ceiling, unpleasant disinfectant odor in the room, breakfast coffee and fruit not great, other problems with the breakfast (not enough time to write about it). Tired and worn property in need of some color. It was a good location for where we needed to go, but probably wouldn't stay here again. There are less expensive options in more updated properties.

Pull out couch bed is very uncomfortable, truly not sleepable with coils being felt immediately. Front desk did provide additional comforters to try to provide additional cushion but truly the mattress needs to be thrown. Shower curtain had mildew. Other than these 2 things, the stay and hotel was great. We were traveling with items needing to be frozen and they even accommodated us! Nice variety of breakfast food, older hotel but well maintained/updated so doesn’t give the feel of an old hotel at all.

I liked the breakfast, weight room, pool, and the kind friendly staff. I didn't like the cracked screen tv in the sitting area, or that my room was only cleaned one time during my stay. I requested room cleaning for everyday. The sink in the sitting room drained really slow so I didn't use it for fear it wouldn't empty at all. I was told maintenance would come to take care of the issues no one ever came. The Embassy is my favorite hotel, but this time the ball was dropped.

We were put in a room directly above the workout facility and it was extremely noisy. We could also hear the people above us so I didn’t get much sleep. The pool was also highly chlorinated - like it looked cloudy there was so many chemicals. However the breakfast was definitely a 8/10 compared to other continental breakfast.

Just okay. Front desk was OK, didn’t tell us check out time or anything like that. Didn’t tell us where the elevators were. Not a huge deal. Happy hour is good just like everyone is saying as far as you get two free drinks. Happy hour food isn’t great. The breakfast is great, made to order omelettes, etc. Room themselves are very outdated, pretty clean though. Surrounding area is not good at all. Just okay. Front desk was OK, didn’t tell us check out time or anything like that. Didn’t tell us where the elevators were. Not a huge deal. Happy hour is good just like everyone is saying as far as you get two free drinks. Happy hour food isn’t great. The breakfast is great, made to order omelettes, etc. Room themselves are very outdated, pretty clean though. Surrounding area is not good at all. The moment I checked in the front desk clerk Amber was very rude and disrespectful.She was talking to me like I was a robot or didn't understand what she was saying.Amber couldn't find my booking and she was saying maybe your at the wrong one since we have 2 locations.I told Amber maybe its under a different last name and she just assisted that it was not there and that I need to go to the other location.So as I was talking to her she picked up the phone in the middle of me talking to talk to someone with out even saying "excuse me or I have to take this call" and that was very so unprofessional to do to a paying customer.And the mist of me getting ready to leave and just go to another hotel "Hot Wheel Al" ask me to come to his counter and that he will look it up and very much so he was able to find my reservation at this location.(But when Amber got off the phone she was helping another person to check in she was the most polite & apologizing person on earth, it's like her attitude switched up when the next person came around.)I also told the manager "Latisha" about the situation but I still haven't heard anything back from her. Also housekeeping went into my room while I was out and they so happened to take my son shorts I just bought and when I asked them about it no can find them.So I had to buy more clothes. I also told Latisha about that as well and did a claim but still haven't heard nothing about that either. So I will like to speak to someone that's higher managemen

This place is amazing. Clean and the breakfast omelets are very delicious. Amber at the front desk was rude and did not have patience. She talked to customers with no emotion and was not willing to problem solve a situation. Another employee had go step in to complete our stay and he was delightful. ( forgot his name). Overall, I would stay again.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I liked how spacious the room was. It didn't feel cramped but like we had room to move. The check in process was very slow. There was only one person doing it and averaged about 7-10 minutes per guest. I was in line for about 30 minutes.

Our check in was fast and smooth. Every single employee I interacted with was very, very kind and helpful. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel and left with the intent on writing one of these reviews, yet here we are. I will suggest this hotel again and again.

I sent an email in advance saying that our flight would be late getting in. Arrived at the hotel at 0200. Was told that we couldn’t get checked in because the receptionist was not here and would be back in 10 minutes. The room is already paid for. We have been waiting 40 minutes at this point!!!!! Who knows if we will get to occupy the room that I paid for I ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes

Room was great. Very clean and in order. The building is showing its age and use although the staff ensured it was in as fresh of condition as they could. Loved it. The staff at the receptions and breakfast were phenomenal. They were exemplar workers. They smiled, were helpful, and appeared to love their job. I usually stay at the ES closer to the airport. Choose this was closer to business needs and was told over the phone they DID have airport shuttle (but they do NOT). That cost me five taxi trips. Asked for a couple new bulbs for room as they were burnt out, was asked if I knew how to use a light switch (prick). Housekeeping replaced them on second request. Same prick denied giving my wife a room key. I needed to reach out to manager, and she got in. The room is rundown and dirty, nail clippings and dirt on floor, filthy bathroom as well. Would never stat here again.

The stay was amazing, the the breakfast was great housekeeping was extremely nice, had a couple conversations with them. But the front desk service was terrible, very rude, and impolite didn’t let me ask what I needed and were very rushed. Service was pretty slow, as only one person was working. At one point, the poor girl had about 15 people waiting to get checked in. We booked two rooms. No washcloths in either room. Room service wasn't available. No bedding for the pull outs was available. Husband went down to the store to get a few drinks and some Tylenol and the clerk haggled with him on cost of things. Said they were all 6 a piece but she'd give it to him for 5. Just weird.

I accidentally booked at the wrong hotel and the staff did an excellent job in straightening things out. With light rail across the street and a safe area I would recommend this place if going to sports or shopping.

The hotel was located close to major highways, airport, mall of america and target field/downtown. Free parking and made to order breakfast were great bonuses. Digital key/check-in and check-out was very convenient. Room was HUGE, comfortable, clean and a/c worked well!

What you make up for with friendly staff, cleanliness and safety you lose a little in that it is further from the city - great for airport access and there are shopping options within walking distance. I felt safe as a solo female traveller but without a car I would have preferred to have been more centrally located.

Everything was great, happy hour with the snack bar, the restaurant, the room was very comfortable but in the morning we went down for breakfast and the coffee machine was broken and the coffe they brought out in pump pots was extremely bitter and old tasting.

They had a wide variety of food choices on the buffet, which all were delicious. They had a nice happy hour with appetizers and their restaurant was delicious . . Lots of food for the price. The room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The staff were amazing, especially when we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room. Housekeeping was gracious enough to let us in.

My family and I often choose Embassy Suites when traveling. A big draw for us is the amazing breakfast they offer. We also enjoy the separate sitting room with table in the rooms, allowing us to have a meal in our room without having to eat on the bed. This particular Embassy also offers a great fitness room with dumbbells, something not all hotels offer. There were a few minor issues with our room, possibly in need of some updates including a very squeaky door, and a lap that the outlet didn't work on. We were also disappointed about the new parking charge of $12 a day. Overall, I would still choose an Embassy.

We ate the restaurant in the hotel, niece got food poisoning. When notified front desk and restaurant, was told food prepped 4-5 days in advance. They lied in regards to contacting Dept of Health on Saturday night at 6pm. Gave every excuse in the book but denied. I would never stay at this hotel nor eat in the restaurant.

Lady who checked us in was super super friendly but Gentleman who ran the restaurant was very rude and the one check in/out clerk (man) (hard of hearing) was super rude as well. Everyone else was very nice. Snack time at this embassy was very short so when we went down there was nothing left after one hour of starting. Otherwise great hotel. Very clean.

Check-in individual lectured me about not being a Hilton member and using a third party to book the room. Went to the on-site restaurant and waited 1.5 hours for order. Bartender kept coming back to our table to ask if we wanted a menu and to order even after already ordered with her. No shuttle to the mall. Then they charged me an additional $24 to park in the lot. Where was I supposed to park the vehicle? I already paid $300 to stay in a room. Ridiculous! Will never stay here again.
