Henson hotel

Great location, 3 min to the coast and 15 to Pleasure Beach. Adam was very welcoming and friendly. Car park was convenient. The room was clean and very well kept. Had a great few days!

Free parking and literally 5 min walking distances to pleasure beach, rooms definitely eed aome work doing but were clean and comfy, Late bar was a bonus.

Stopped a few weeks back with my 4 year old, was made to feel welcome and safe during our stay, the manager gave my little one some chocolate Easter eggs which he loved, he also loved the common room, loads of space to run around and rinse me dry of coins for the arcade machines. Room was clean, spacious and even had a bath, free parking outside, great location, would 100% stop again. Thank you for having us

We are visiting from Australia and have been staying here on and off for five weeks as we visit friends in Blackpool. The Henson Hotel has been a fabulous base for us. The hosts, Kelly and Martyn are very friendly and have gone out or their way to make our stay special. Our recently refurbished room is very large with TV, table and chairs, tea and coffee etc and large en-suite. The bed is super comfortable with high quality linen and the room has been beautifully warm and which we have appreciated in the cold months of February and March. The location is just perfect and would suit most people visiting Blackpool as it is directly opposite the Pleasure Beach, you can actually watch the Big One (roller coaster) from our bedroom window and we can also see the sea. Another reason we chose the Henson is the free parking. This is very unusual in Blackpool and most hotels have no parking at all. It has been very handy to just pull up outside and know the car is safe and is being monitored by the hotels CCTV. In this price range I don’t think you could find a better hotel in Blackpool, we highly recommend staying.

Value for money. Staff is very kind and friendly. Close proximity to the buses and trams and all other aminities. We came for one-night stay, as we visited waterpark , which is just 5-10min walking distance away from the hotel. Free car park. We received an offer to leave our car even we already check out to be able to enjoy our time at Blackpool.

Breakfast unfortunately is Continental and is a charge of £7.50 so we didn’t go down that road however the room was lovely and clean. Hotel looks a little bit dated could do with some new carpets and bits and bobs but would recommend I would definitely stay again. The staff are really friendly and very outgoing. That’s why I’m happy to give the place four stars out of five very clean very warm lovely Hotel.

Great for a couple of nights stay, Not far from the tram in you want to go to the north shore, Staff was helpful and polite, the lift was a great benefit for us, would get a bigger room ( wardrobe /draws )if staying longer than 2 nights, but the bed was very comfortable, will return if they have room.

Hotel is fine, great location and great parking - my stay was tarnished as I needed to work from the hotel and the Wi-Fi did not work in my room. I was offered a room nearer the router, but this was much smaller and not appropriate to work in. I was told that "the Wi-Fi boosters have been stolen", ok, but why not just replace them. Small detail, but an important one.

This place should not be open. We arrived at the property to see a packed of cigarette on the reception desk and the horrendous smell of cigarettes, that belonged to the lady behind reception. We were given our key, the place stunk of Marijuana! Our room was VILE there was blood on the walls that hadn’t been wiped off. The carpet was coming up, the place was smelly and dirty. Avoid this place at all costs. We could not stay and had to make the 5 hour trip home.

Bed had hairs all in our bed , bathroom.was filthy was left rubbish under bed and dirty mattress , staff were friendly but i wouldnt stay again :(

The room was fairly good the basic amenities were perfect such as breakfast as described and the hotel bathroom. The only issue is the bathroom seemed slightly unclean.But the service was excellent everyone was kind and talkative.

Rooms were clean and passable but the corridors were awful and the dining room a strange combination of colours and patterns but the breakfast was fine, Seemed to be family ran and a bit chaotic at times but I assumed they had not long been in and were updating it and learning the ropes as they went. The lad who served us breakfast was brilliant.

The hotel was ideally located and had parking, however that's the only bonuses. The room as rundown, the bathroom was old and had things falling off the walls, it didn't look like it had been cleaned. Thankfully the bedding was clean. I wouldn't spend my money here again. Sorry.

Cheap hotel in blackpool , having been 4 times before and staying in various cheap options i knew what sort of space to expect . The room was clean for the most part however the the shower was not draining , upon inspection under the silver drain cover was so filthy it had all but blocked the drain , i just remover the top cover then it drained, not great but not the end of the world . The big big problem was the atrocious bed , to say it wouldnt have been accepted at a charity shop would have been an understatement , not dirty or stained but so worn it was almost impossible to sleep ,literally the cheapest domestic quality mattress and base , completely rubbish , imagine a cheap bed that was maybe 8 yrs old and had been slept on by a 300lb person every night , it was clear by the wear that the hotel does not even fip and rotate the mattresses to make the wear even ,maybe they just dont know these things but its hospitality 101 . The end of the hotel we were in Had an aweful musty smell , luckly it wasnt too noticeable in the room . A good 1inch gap inder the room door ensured ample light pollution from the bright corridor lights . The hotel is very tired and run down but given recent economic situations i wont be too harsh on that . The only great part of the experience was the lovely guy working the checkin , by far the only good thing about this hotel . The locations good so i feel they get away with a lot . Definately wont be back and will be warning people to steer clear

The room was clean but quite small, only one single wardrobe for both of us, the shelf the kettle was on was too small and my husband knocked it thankfully it wasnt hot, bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing.

Lovely spacious family room with couch and t.v area, also had a dining table, Manager was very friendly and was kind tou our super active autistic son. Would definately stay here again

Not was expecting there was no remote for tv they do try to find us one but couldn’t program one the bed was terrible it wasn’t attached to the wall or headboard kept moving when we sat up so we had to keep moving it back as we would have fallen down the back could provide 2 pillows no carpet so was noisy underfoot very noisy other guests

Good parking good price, tv did not work loo door did not shut not very clean but it’s Blackpool cheap stay for family for 2 nights I did not expect it to be clean or fancy but it was good location easy parking and a bed for night after fun at Blackpool would stay again if on budget as spend loads money on days out

Ideal location right next to pleasure beach. Room was spacious and bed was comfy. However, remote didn’t work with either tv and stuck on one channel. Hot water took ages and was a trickle. Shower was fine though. Mini-fridge went off every 20 mins and I ended up turning it off. The curtains didn’t close properly and did not provide full privacy. Staff were friendly. Although our room was clean the rest of the hotel felt unclean and shabby and it felt like a hostel.

Room is as basic as you can get . No money has been spent on this room since the sixty’s . Most of all disappointed on the people giving this 6 or 7 stars . Based on this room it’s a 2 . Won’t be back disgusts. If you have any sort of standards don’t book here . Dump.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel,very cold room didnt have radiators in working order,cleanliness not very good,bar manager was really friendly but wouldn't go there again.

I booked this as a treat for my 7 yr grandson to see the blackpool lights, the issue i had was there was no hot water, so we was unable to use the shower, and had to boil the kettle to wash.... my grandson didnt like that he couldnt see out the window, as it was like frosted glass.....

Nice friendly hotel. Needs updating a bit. Found a tablet on the bed good job wasn't picked up by a child. No idea what it was. Lock wasn't working on the door. It was fixed straight away and he called me straight away when it was done. Excellent customer service.

The hotel was dingey with very disruptive guest we had two nights booked but between how noisy it was and how unclean only stayed one and did the four hour drive back after Blackpool pleasure beach to avoid staying here another night. The staff where friendly but not around or reachable when quest where being disruptive at 3 in the morning. Easy walk to the theme park and sea front
