La Quinta by Wyndham Gainesville

Really clean, comfortable, and spacious roomfor a low price (weeknight). I really didn't think of the La Quinta brand as being a nice hotel, but I would highly recommend this one.

At first look, it didn't look too bad, all things considered, the constant road construction that makes it very difficult to get to, obviously is not their fault. That is the only thing that I could overlook. The worst thing that is unforgivable was the fact that the bathroom was crawling with bugs! Little tiny bugs and they were all over the bathroom. I must assume that the rest of the room was probably infested, they were just harder to see on the carpet. I was exhausted after attending a funeral, so I made my way down to their little convenience store, they had pot pies in the refrigerated case, however they had been thawed and refrozen who knows how many times. The boxes were soggy and smashed, all I could think was food poisoning! I ended up with Ramen noodles; they looked the safest. I know that hotel breakfasts are normally not the best, but this one was especially horrible! The biscuits were soggy; the gravy was ice cold and runny and the coffee tasted burnt! I had cereal. To sum up the rest, as if anyone would need any other reasons not to stay here. The pool and hot tub, which was the reason that I picked this in the first place, heater was broken, COLD hot tub and pool! Guest laundry had no dryer, the ice machine on the main floor didn't work so the front desk clerk assured me that the one on the 4th floor did, it didn't, it was out of order as well! Save yourself the misery, if you find yourself in Gainsville, TX avoid the LaQuinta at all costs!

For the amount of money we spent on the room it smelled bad in the room and through out the facility. Bathroom was really run down. Disappointed

We booked a room here solely because there was a hot tub. Upon arrival (after checking in) we were informed that the hot tub is out of order. We had planned to just suck it up and deal with it, but to add to that issue, the elevator felt and sounded as if it was about to snap a cable and drop down the shaft, the hallway outside our room smelled overwhelmingly like weed despite being a smoke-free establishment, and the entirety of the pool area was filthy and even had dead bugs in the pool. When these things were brought to the attention of the front desk attendant, he basically told us tough luck.

I will never use this anymore.
