A pub/restaurant with rooms, rather than hotel. Small, but pleasant room with good size en suite. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to prom, town centre and railway station. Restaurant food good, and very popular with locals.

One night stay following a family funeral. Liked the fact meals were available. Good bar area for meeting with relatives who lived locally. The roo was comfortable if dated. There was a smell of drains in the ensuite.

Charming place, really enjoyed our two nights here. Lovely outdoor and indoor dining and drinking area. Friendly staff, great food and bar. Great parking, safe area, very close to beach. If you are playing golf at Royal Liverpool, this is the place to stay! Very close and convenient to the clubhouse. Hope to come back and stay again.

Great hotel and really friendly and supportive staff. Was going to have to work at times through the night and my request for late check out was met, however no payment required as the hot water was off for a short while. Second time staying there and won’t be the last.

While visiting family in the area, we stayed at the lodge forv4 nights. It was perfect for us - the room was bright and airy and cleaned every day. The pub downstair offers great food and drink options and is popular with locals. Friendly helpful staff too

Wonderful welcome. Great staff. A clean and comfortable room. Fantastic base for exploring the Wirral, or in our case, reconnecting with old friends. A little noisy a few nights... but what do you expect in a pub. lol.

Very friendly and helfpul staff. Nice clean and comfortable room and easy parking. The hotel is in a lovely location on the Wirral coast. We would definitely return.

A pleasant hotel with a good atmosphere and enjoyable food. Friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. Unfortunately no remote for my television, toilet seat was either loose or broken and the shower gel dispenser did not work. But overall an enjoyable one night stay in this clean hotel.

Friendly staff. Tiny room, ok for one night. It was clean but there was an overwhelming smell when you walked in the room. We have to leave the window open and fan running all night to disguise. It didn’t help that it was a hot day/night and the room was like a sauna. If you are a little on the large size then you may struggle with the shower / bathroom, it’s tiny. I will say though the food is fabulous in the pub below!

Pleasant and friendly staff, room was clean & had everything I needed. Had a meal with family in the evening, decent enough quality for the money. One small criticism : the bathroom door spring hinge was about to come off & needs attention. Other than that, everything was great.

Food, service, staff, cleanliness all very good but the accommodation is in need of refurbishment and modernisation. Room was stuffy and poorly ventilated. Shower was not good, a fight with the shower curtain all the time.

Nice place to stay with friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was particularly good. Bed was very comfortable although one side up against a window. Room was too warm due to heating pipes (radiators off), lagging pipes would save energy.

Both room and bathroom were basic. The bathroom in particular was like something you would have seen in a 1960's hospital ward. To say both rooms need an upgrade is a massive understatement.

The employees of the hotel are brilliant. They are a true asset to the establishment. The restaurant area has been redone well and the food is good, but the room we stayed is tired and in need of a refit. There is very little closet space, the bed is in a strange position and while the ensuite was big it was very poorly laid out. The loo was positioned right in front of the door.

Turned up around 6 and check in was quick. went out for works meal so didn’t eat there but one thing I asked for in prior message to hotel was for twin beds to be connected as advert offered double bed. That wasn’t done. Other than that, hotel clean, reasonably comfortable beds and checkout was easy. Good value overall

Very Nice Stay, rooms nicely furnished, food excellent,staff very friendly, service generally good, but was a bit random on our last night, probably due to how busy the place was. Easy Access to Liverpool Centre through local Metro.

Charming place, really enjoyed our two nights here. Lovely outdoor and indoor dining and drinking area. Friendly staff, great food and bar. Great parking, safe area, very close to beach. If you are playing golf at Royal Liverpool, this is the place to stay! Very close and convenient to the clubhouse. Hope to come back and stay again.

Excellent short term stay, bedroom clean and tidy, very quirky. Staff excellent, Food was very good, and only a short walk to the railway station and the Wirral footpath! Highly recommended.

Very Nice Stay, rooms nicely furnished, food excellent,staff very friendly, service generally good, but was a bit random on our last night, probably due to how busy the place was. Easy Access to Liverpool Centre through local Metro.

Wonderful welcome. Great staff. A clean and comfortable room. Fantastic base for exploring the Wirral, or in our case, reconnecting with old friends. A little noisy a few nights... but what do you expect in a pub. lol.

Very friendly and helfpul staff. Nice clean and comfortable room and easy parking. The hotel is in a lovely location on the Wirral coast. We would definitely return.

Food, service, staff, cleanliness all very good but the accommodation is in need of refurbishment and modernisation. Room was stuffy and poorly ventilated. Shower was not good, a fight with the shower curtain all the time.

A pub/restaurant with rooms, rather than hotel. Small, but pleasant room with good size en suite. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to prom, town centre and railway station. Restaurant food good, and very popular with locals.

Friendly staff. Tiny room, ok for one night. It was clean but there was an overwhelming smell when you walked in the room. We have to leave the window open and fan running all night to disguise. It didn’t help that it was a hot day/night and the room was like a sauna. If you are a little on the large size then you may struggle with the shower / bathroom, it’s tiny. I will say though the food is fabulous in the pub below!

Staff were very helpful. Room clean,amenities decent. Room was a bit overpriced. Didnt have breakfast as no vegetarian option and overpriced.

A pleasant hotel with a good atmosphere and enjoyable food. Friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. Unfortunately no remote for my television, toilet seat was either loose or broken and the shower gel dispenser did not work. But overall an enjoyable one night stay in this clean hotel.

Pleasant and friendly staff, room was clean & had everything I needed. Had a meal with family in the evening, decent enough quality for the money. One small criticism : the bathroom door spring hinge was about to come off & needs attention. Other than that, everything was great.

This was a very nice hotel conveniently located next to Royal Liverpool Golf Club. The place is clean and spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The room was large and clean. There was no air conditioning (common for this area) but other than that, it was very comfortable. Sadly, the breakfast was quite poor.

Staff was attentive and pleasant. Problems were that they ran out of basic breakfast menu items. Additionally, the property is not air conditioned and no fans were available until we requested one. The windows were restricted from being opened beyond two inches. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. On one evening, the hotel was completely out of ice.

Have stayed at The Green 💚 Lodge in Hoylake...3 times. Always felt comfy...and have got to know it's staff. Breakfasts are 👍...and you can avail of slightly different...to usual Full English. 2 cousins joined me for evenings meals...my last evening..we sat in the window alcove in Dining room...the waitor was very friendly and polite. JOHN PARKINSON...retired journalist..
