The hotel is very basic, previously a Holiday Inn. Location is wonderful, but pool is no longer in service and neither is bar/restaurant. Also no breakfast. Was fine for us, but single a no frill hotel. Joel was clean and check in was quick. Parking is a half block away in a parking ramp.

We loved the location of the property. Parking was good and check-in was easy. The beds were comfortable and there was a fridge/microwave combo. That's where the positives ended. The bar/restaurant never opened in the 4 days we were there, so I assume it is permanently closed. We stayed in room 214. The only place we had a garbage can was in the bathroom which was weird but not a deal breaker. The walls are very thin and you hear everything happening in the hallway. Bathroom- Our tub did not drain quickly, so when you took a shower, the tub filled with water. The toilet bowl had a black ring around the water line and underside rim. The floor tiles were all loose in the bathroom, so they shifted when you walked. The gym- The A/C unit was not working, so it was extremely hot. There were ceiling tiles missing. Nothing was available to wipe down machines or weights when finished. No water fountain to fill water bottle. Only chose to use the gym for a short time and went elsewhere for other days. If was ok if you are just looking for a place to lay your head with great location. I will would not stay here again.

The beds had two different comforters. The soap dispensers were empty. The exercise room was a complete joke. The size of a closet. The pool was nowhere to be found. The restaurant was closed.The room down the hall had its door broken and left wide open all night. The person running the front desk was basically running everything by himself. It was so disappointing for what you charge! The elevators were filthy. There were so many things that were wrong it’s hard to name them all.

Convenient location to many activities & restaurants down town. Pool area closed during our stay which was a bit disappointing. Service was good, helpful at check in & housekeeping checked in during our stay. Tiles loose on bathroom floor, visible mold on shower curtain, & stcky area on carpet near work station in our room.

This worked out great for us. The location was perfect. Easy walk to Riverside Park. The only improvements could be the tub/shower (which needed replacement) , the Gym (which needed air conditioning) and the air vents in the hall (which needed cleaning). Staff, location and price made this a 4 for me.

Water was coming out of the ceiling all down the hallway. There as a short shower earlier in the day, but nothing that would create such a problem. All that was done is they placed garbage bins under some of the leaks. Also, your advertising states a bar on site, it was never open over our 2 night stay.

Room was fine. Great location downtown. If the parking lot is full, you can park in the ramp next door for free. General upkeep is lacking. Light bulbs burnt out, caulk cracking, no stoppers in the drains.

Room was dirty, bathroom had terrible mold, light fixture on bed wouldn’t turn off and if you tried it would shock you, stains on bedding and pillows. I also was upset when two different people came to the room prior to the checkout time asking if we were checking out yet.

Incredibly loud rooms, could hear every time toilet next to us flushed all night. Room on back side of the hotel REEKED of Chinese food from neighboring restaurant. There were fights and loud bar yelling behind the hotel both nights 1130p-245a. Mold in the bathroom, shower curtain was dirty, tub had hair not ours in it upon arrival, sticky carpet, loose bathroom tiles, dirt in all corners, tv had no cable. The only minor plus was bed was comfortable and location was a good walking distance to the main downtown attractions.

The hotel had a funny odor to it. Room was ok but not the cleanest. Lots of little things that needed to be fixed throughout the property. It needs a good overhaul and it would be great.

The check in process was smooth, and parking was plentiful and free in the ramp with validation from the hotel. Small selection of chips and drinks for purchase. The room had been cleaned, but overall was in need of a remodel. Many things were old, broken, cracked, etc .. overall, it wasn't enough to bring to the staff for immediate attention - because there wasn't really anything that could be done in the moment. It was an average room, with dated and VERY worn touches that was an adequate stopover for one night. The price paid reflected this condition (vs the competition) and we would consider staying again for a similar price, however we would weigh all options first.

The room was spacious but we found out the walls must either be really thin or have very little insulation. We could hear the entire conversation of the two people next door at 2:30 in the morning. In the morning we had no hot water for showers. When we called down the front desk didn’t apologize and didn’t seem sure what was happening. Said they thought a couple hot water heaters went out and to maybe wait a few minutes. It was a nice room with a nice view, but we didn’t have a restful sleep or hot showers. We booked the room for our anniversary and were somewhat disappointed due to how much we paid for the room.

For paying $292 a night I expected soaps in the showers to be refilled (body wash) and I’m not sure if my expectations were too high but I expected at least some complementary toothpaste. Also the curtains are see through so say goodbye to any privacy since that area of the streets are very much well lighted and make the curtains see through.

Check-in was smooth & easy; the gentlemen up front was quick & helpful. He informed me about parking (available but limited). There were, unfortunately, noisy guests on my floor who were slamming doors around midnight, going in and out of their rooms. I phoned the front desk and the gentlemen informed me they had just checked in. I had a very hard time getting back to sleep after such a disturbance and that really colored my stay.

The hallways smelled like curry, and the overall hotel is a bit rundown. There could be some minor repairs done to make it more appealing. We only saw a person at the desk one time, and the rest of the time there were instructions to go things in own.

We were in town for the annual Irish Fest. We loved the location, and the fact that we had easy access to restaurants, the riverfront and the fairgrounds on foot. We were offered a large umbrella to use on a couple of rainy mornings. The actual hotel parking lot is very small, but there is a huge public lot right next door with hotel access. They provide a code that allows you to park for free.

The hotel was adjacent to a parking ramp which made it very convenient and easy to park. The hotel was across the street from my concert venue. The hotel was close to both a winery and a distillery, both with great food. The hotel was walkable to shopping with unique records, antiques and clothing.

The location simply cannot be beat! In the heart of the riverfront, we didn’t use our cars (free parking in an attached lot) the entire weekend. I’ll stay there again if I get the chance to visit LaCrosse again.

Incredibly loud rooms, could hear every time toilet next to us flushed all night. Room on back side of the hotel REEKED of Chinese food from neighboring restaurant. There were fights and loud bar yelling behind the hotel both nights 1130p-245a. Mold in the bathroom, shower curtain was dirty, tub had hair not ours in it upon arrival, sticky carpet, loose bathroom tiles, dirt in all corners, tv had no cable. The only minor plus was bed was comfortable and location was a good walking distance to the main downtown attractions.

The hotel is very basic, previously a Holiday Inn. Location is wonderful, but pool is no longer in service and neither is bar/restaurant. Also no breakfast. Was fine for us, but single a no frill hotel. Joel was clean and check in was quick. Parking is a half block away in a parking ramp.

This property was ok. It needs maintenance and not what it is advertised as. It was clean. No bar as advertised. Location was good. Needs some help to live up to what it is advertised.

The pool/spa closed, not noted during reservation, hotel bar closed. No lock on bathroom door, things seem to be in general disrepair.

Love the location but nothing memorable about the hotel. Restaurant was closed. In general the place felt like it needed an upgrade or refresh.

The employees were very helpful with how to use the ramp to get free parking and with any other questions we had. We received snack bags upon arrival and free continental breakfast, which included eggs, sausage and waffles in the restaurant (which was not currently open). The location is tops and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable.

Didn’t like parking. Had to find parking in street. Parking lot full. I did like breakfast was great. Received snack bag during check in. That was cool. Front desk attendant was kind service with a smile. Acknowledge us each time we came in. He was always cleaning which means he had great deal for cleanliness. Definitely love the price very affordable. I will be come back again

I loved the access to downtown LaCrosse. The bed was comfortable and it was pretty clean in general. It is an older building so there is that and we went to breakfast later but before the end time and there was nothing left. It seems as if they should have someone keep up with that.

Not enough parking, the few spots there are always full and are a free for all, any non customer can take any spot. Toilet seat was barely hanging on by a thread and the toilet randomly ran the water. Two different visits in a row I was put in a room with a broken refrigerator with no alternative or solution. I was told they are closing for construction so there's nothing available. Could barely get a fire stick in the HDMI port of the old janky TVs. There are zero vending machines in the whole building and there aren't ice machines on the even numbered floors. The band also practices outside across the street for hours so enjoy waking up/not sleeping to that

The staff was very helpful and friendly. You could tell that they were doing the best they could with the hotel. The room was nice and big. The bed was extremely comfortable. Also, the air-conditioner worked great and kept the room nice and cool. Sadly, the bathroom needed a lot of help. The tub was rusted and gross. When we went to shower and you couldn't even get the shower to turn on. We called the front desk and and they moved us to a new room. However, the air-conditioner in that room did not work AND the tub was also rusted. We asked to cancel our second night and we found a new hotel.

Used to be the Holiday Inn but now the Pearl Street Hotel. One of the best locations in the city. I used to always stay here all the time when it was the Holiday Inn, and this is the third time I've stayed under the new ownership. They've kept the place up well, don't charge crazy prices, and the staff is hardworking and friendly. Will keep coming back.
