Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dayton West - Brookville by IHG

When we were going for breakfast there happened to be the same time as 4 or 5 rooms. We did have to wait, but the staff didn't hesitate and food was fresh and the wait worth it. I don't know how the staff could do better without ESP.

The heater kept the room warm. The breakfast was ok. The “mural” in the lobby was detached from the wall in one place about 3 feet. The furniture was missing knobs. Some of the electrical outlets did not work. The bed was clean and comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The box springs had no cover. There was a large red stain on the carpet in my guest room. The wall in the bathroom was horribly patched. The tub was badly stained. No internet. The “spring decor” in the lobby made it look like a preschool. The ironing board wouldn’t stay in the closet on its own.

I just stayed one night at this hotel and during my stay it was interesting. When I booked the hotel I booked for one room with a king size bed. Well unfortunately when I got there I had doubles and was informed that I booked a standard room king size bed and I got the standard room because they had no king size beds left. Then got to the room and the toilet did not flush. So I asked to switch rooms to a room where the toilet worked. That was the only hiccup I had on my one day trip.

The yard wasn’t maintained at all .. the elevator felt as if it could fall at anytime .. there were not one but three dirty rugs in the elevator as well .. the room was very dirty as if it had never been swept …

Property was clean and room was spacious. Elevator was very noisy and rough looking. Erin was an exceptional host and really cared about the property. Breakfast was very good and IHG coffee machines are the BEST in the industry at this price point.
