It was a safe area to stay in. The complimentary “made to order”coffee and fruit basket were a nice bonus. We stayed in a jr suite and one of the earlier comments made mention of strong smell in the hallway which is true if someone is cooking but it doesn't smell once you get into the room

Awful experience the hotel was a building site with dust, paint, workers and tools everywhere. No lifts working, broken air conditioning in room and no breakfast on offer just a poor pack lunch option. Left bags with reception on check out day and come back to find them covered on dust and no toilet to use in reception

Great spot. Close to the tube, St. Pancras, Covent garden etc. We went to a concert in Hyde Park and walked back without any stress. Food and groceries close by. Coffee machines in the foyer and breakfast area, with cold water on tap. Room was a good size and had everything we needed. Ironing board, hairdryer and the kitchen was set up really well, even though we didn't put it to the test. Fridge was very welcome as the weather was fantastic. Only criticism was that the desk staff could have been more friendly and welcoming. Wouldn't stop me going back though.

This was not the first time we have stayed here and I would return again in the future. The staff were very friendly and helpful when a couple of minor issues arose on the first day. The bed was very comfy and there wasn't any external noise, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. It was also nice to be able to have a hot drink and an apple in the lounge. The gym had a very good range of equipment too. The property is starting to show the signs of being well used and it was therefore good to see some refurbishment underway.

Fantastic location, really central to everything. Large room. Friendly staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. The only negative was in our view the breakfast, which was admittedly a good spread of continental food but very limited hot items (eggs, beans and hash browns). For £15 per person I would have expected more items on the hot breakfast. We stayed 2 nights and didn't bother with breakfast for the second morning as it was so disappointing.

Hotel is situated in a good location at Holborn and is about 2 mins walk from the Holborn metro station. There are many shops, marts, gym and eateries around the vicinity. I booked an executive studio room which comes with kitchenette, private bathroom and comfortable bed. Hotel staff were very helpful and approachable. There is a small gym within the hotel at level one. Hotel breakfast is charged at GBP15 per pax.

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the subway station. It’s also close to pubs and theaters, making it a great spot to enjoy the nightlife. Since it’s a serviced apartment, there’s no daily housekeeping, but that also means no one enters the room, so you can relax without worrying about privacy. The breakfast selection is a bit limited and may feel repetitive if you’re staying for several days, but there are plenty of fast food places and supermarkets nearby, so you have lots of alternatives.

The renovations recently carried out have resulted in very clean rooms in great tradition. There was the odd teething problem: the chairs originally supplied did not make it comfortable to sit around the table, but this problem was rectified before the end of our stay.

Room was not has shown on the pictures. The new pictures are the new rooms that are not open yet. They still are under construction. The cleanliness of the room was not that good. We were there for 10 days and we had our room cleaned once. They forgot to come once. Curtains were dirty and the chairs in the room had some weird spots/ colors on it. The soundproofing of the room was not good. We heard all the neighbors and the construction. The lobby was great, the free coffee was great too. Really good location. You can walk pretty much everywhere from the hotel.

We booked with Citadines extremely late! However they were very accommodating and all the staff was lovely! The room was wonderful as well, spacious, clean and I liked the style of it- very mid-century modern! We were about to have the free breakfast the next day and it was awesome, all the food was fresh and the dining area was clean as well! Definitely recommend coming here if you are staying in London, it’s near a tube station and there are places that are walkable!

This hotel is in a great location to explore the area. This hotel was old and dirty. The check in staff made us wait 10 min while he was ion the phone. I saw four people in the back room just standing around. He black mailed me to sign up for their loyalty program or I had to wait one hour to get into my room. Not impressed.

Place looks to have been recently done up and rooms are spotless. Room was a bit too warm with a warm duvet and couldn't get room below 19 degrees. Check-in was very slow as they wanted ID and then for cuatomers to sign up to something to check in to the room half an hour early. This was frustrating and a waste of time other than for data harvesting

We love the citadines at Holborn and have stayed there many times. They have recently finished renovating and it looks lovely. Staff were great and the room was great. Only issue was that they have a centrally controlled heating system (despite having a controller on the wall in the room that does nothing that we could work out. The room was like a furnace, so we had to leave the windows open, which in December was then very cold. I would suggest the hotel changes back to individual room controls.

Nice hotel but the Wi-Fi did NOT work in my room and that was very frustrating. If I needed to do anything I had to go to the lobby or use my data. I was not happy about, considering the amount I paid etc. Outside of that my one night stay was good

First off the location is amazing, right next to the Holborn metro station, one street away from the John Soane’s museum and a short walk from the British museum. The place is clean and the room were perfect for a family of 4 (kids are 13 & 15). Now the not so good: First few days we were freezing in the room and the heating controls in the room were useless so they ended up sending us a plugged heather in the room. A day later we ran out of hot water. They told us to let the water flow for 30 min as if that would help (which it didn’t of course) then after 24 hours with no hot water i got them to switch us to another room.
First off the location is amazing, right next to the Holborn metro station, one street away from the John Soane’s museum and a short walk from the British museum. This was our first time staying at a Citadines and I can honestly say how impressed we were with it. From the minute we walked in, the helpfulness of the reception staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the great bathroom toiletries that are provided. We will certainly look for more Citadines when travelling next.

During our recent trip to London with my wife and two adult children, we rented two rooms for 3 days (1/3/24 to 1/6/24). The on-duty front desk people were incredibly helpful and professional. They made our check in and check out process very smooth. I had to call for help with my heating system once and the on duty person responded quickly. In fifteen minutes a tech was at my door and quickly fixed the issues. I was very impressed! I would certainly stay there in future and recommend to my family and friends. The staff went above and beyond their duty to make our stay a great experience. S A Boston, USA.

We had an extremely unpleasant experience at this hotel. We got stuck in their cramped elevator with a 4-month-old baby for 30 minutes. Despite being promised compensation and a conversation with the manager, they completely ignored our concerns. The lack of accountability and disregard for customer well-being is deeply disappointing.

Hotel room was excellent / staff at front desk not good / we sat for 2 hours while checking in and girl at front desk when asked said room not ready / finally a supervisor came out and said find them a room immediately / asked question to this girl later on if there was a hop on hop off bus in London and she said “ she did not know “ need to do some front desk training

We booked with Citadines extremely late! However they were very accommodating and all the staff was lovely! The room was wonderful as well, spacious, clean and I liked the style of it- very mid-century modern! We were about to have the free breakfast the next day and it was awesome, all the food was fresh and the dining area was clean as well! Definitely recommend coming here if you are staying in London, it’s near a tube station and there are places that are walkable!

This hotel is in a great location to explore the area. This hotel was old and dirty. The check in staff made us wait 10 min while he was ion the phone. I saw four people in the back room just standing around. He black mailed me to sign up for their loyalty program or I had to wait one hour to get into my room. Not impressed.

Great location for a family event in Holborn. Walking distance to all the major sites and yards from Holborn tube if you are tired! Perfect place if you are in a group. Will stay again!

Excellent location close to the underground, shops and restaurants. About 15 minutes by foot to SoHo; less to Covent Garden. A bright, spacious room with a small kitchen. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The price was relatively reasonable for London lodgings!

Hotel is situated in a good location at Holborn and is about 2 mins walk from the Holborn metro station. There are many shops, marts, gym and eateries around the vicinity. I booked an executive studio room which comes with kitchenette, private bathroom and comfortable bed. Hotel staff were very helpful and approachable. There is a small gym within the hotel at level one. Hotel breakfast is charged at GBP15 per pax.

Since it’s a serviced apartment, there’s no daily housekeeping, but that also means no one enters the room, so you can relax without worrying about privacy. The breakfast selection is a bit limited and may feel repetitive if you’re staying for several days, but there are plenty of fast food places and supermarkets nearby, so you have lots of alternatives.

Awful experience the hotel was a building site with dust, paint, workers and tools everywhere. No lifts working, broken air conditioning in room and no breakfast on offer just a poor pack lunch option. Left bags with reception on check out day and come back to find them covered on dust and no toilet to use in reception

Fantastic location, really central to everything. Large room. Friendly staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. The only negative was in our view the breakfast, which was admittedly a good spread of continental food but very limited hot items (eggs, beans and hash browns). For £15 per person I would have expected more items on the hot breakfast. We stayed 2 nights and didn't bother with breakfast for the second morning as it was so disappointing.

Citadines Holborn is in an excellent location in London. Very safe and quiet, easy access to the tube and grocery store. We loved having a kitchenette to fix breakfast and lunch - and thank you for the complimentary coffee in the lobby. Lots of space in the unit, with huge windows and air conditioning. Would definitely recommend.

The location was central to everything. It was 15 minutes (either by the underground or walking) to almost everything. An underground stop was within 2 blocks. And it was one of the few places we found in that area that allowed us to have a separate room for my daughter (using a sofa bed). Not the most comfortable sofa bed, but it did the trick. And it's nice to have a kitchenette with a fridge and dining ware.

Airport conditioning was minimal and did nit work properly in the room, however when reported to reception a mobile unit was brought up which was noisy but worked ok. Bed was a little uncomfortable but the room was nice and had all the amenities. Free coffee downstairs was a nice touch.

Such a lovely apart-hotel, cosy hotel room (bigger than you’d think!) and on the hottest day of the June 2026 heatwave was incredible with air con in the room! I’d let the hotel know via the check in link that it was my daughters birthday, and they provided us with macarons and a birthday note to my daughter. The kitchen was fully stocked for everything we would need, and as I said, during the hottest day, they knocked on our door to offer ice cubes to help cool us down. Honestly really enjoyed our stay, and would love to return at a later date.
