The staff were all very helpful and courteous. Even though the inn is older, it is obvious that it has been well maintained. Our room was very clean. There is AC in each room. Thank goodness for this as there was a heat wave while we were there.The inn is within walking distance to the Maine Savings Amphitheater. Parking is easy. There are several entrances from the parking lot so it is convenient to carry your luggage in. I didn't notice an elevator so anyone with mobility issues should request first floor.

We weren't told our reserved room was on the second floor of the property, without an elevator, until we arrived. Not only was that very inconvenient for a pair of seniors with physical limitations, but even if we were able to walk up a flight or two of stairs with heavy luggage, we weren't able to enter the room until at least a half hour past the check in time. We had booked online using Expedia and the front desk found us a cheaper room on the ground floor, but they claimed it would eventually be up to the booking site to change the price that we were charged for the original room during the sign in process.

Rates must be because they are next door to the casino. Otherwise the room was quite bad and outdated, no amenities, and to complete the stay showering in the morning was done with the hottest water available which was best described as tepid. Calling the front desk in inquiry, the response was "I dont know what you want me to do about it but checkout is at 11."

Our tv did not work and the employees where extremely helpfull and quick to fix our issue. I hate having to complain about something not being to standard but the workers made us feel comfortable and and where very quick to resolve the issue !

When I made reservations w/Hotels.com, I had asked for a couple of things which did not get passed on to the hotel, but the girl checking me in redid it to accommodate me and my special requests. Staff was wonderful.

Check in time was 3. At 3 we were told our room wasnt clean and to come back in half an hour. At 330 we tried again. Front desk woman said our rooms still weren't marked clean BUT she gave me the keys anyway and told us to check. Head up to 2nd floor where people are just standing around because thrir rooms arent clean either, but front desk is still handing out keys and sending people to their rooms, totally creating chaos and making it difficult for the poor cleaning staff to get the rooms clean. The cleaning staff was telling everyone to go back to lobby and have her put us in rooms that were ready but that wasn't happening. Zero communication from anyone about what was going on. We ultimately couldnt get into our room until after 5.

Fireside Inn was friendly, courteous and helpful during my stay. The coffee was excellent and available at all hours. There was nothing I didn't like at all. Internet speed was excellent (I guess I read some out-dated reviews about it being very slow). Great stay and would recommend Fireside Inn!

First floor room and pet friendly. Having heart procedure at Northern Light and not up to climbing stairs after a long day. Nice parking lot and outside area for ease of walking our small dog. Convenient to hospital and on site restaurant.

Didn't not at all like the location of this place. basically in the very back parking lot of Casino. Not well lit at night (I checked in a night). A couple of transients with shopping carts roaming the parking lot & near the dumpters. The lobby was tiny & smell like an old dirty hallway of a getto back ally apt building. The building is obviously old & not updated. Rooms were ok, basic, & but outdated also. The tub drain at a snail's pace. But the room was clean. Staff was very pleasant. I needed an over night stay close by to the Hospital were my Husband was staying after his major surgery (I learned last minute they don't allow over night visitors). I got a deal through expedia so it was cheaper. But not refundable. The pictures were deceptive. This place is ok if your a rough tough trucker that needs an overnight stay. But for me personally, would not stay here again. Not at all a family friendly place to stay in Bangor. There is a very nice safer looking Marriott across the road if I had known about, I would have stayed there instead. Very disappointed because my husband & I have stayed at other Fireside Inns in Maine, & they were all great (Like Belfast ME). I did at all not feel safe here. I checked in, stayed in (I didn't dare go to my locked vehicle parked out front for my phone charger.) and I checked out very early. A very sketchy place and location. I really feel for the nice staff who are trying here. Do better.

We stayed at Fireside for a concert at the cross center. It was very convenient as we just had to walk across the street. Having the restaurant on site made it easy to grab a bite before the concert. Room was clean nothing fancy. Best part of the stay was the water pressure. Would stay at Fireside again.

I was in town to see a concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. I was looking for lodging close to the venue. After doing some online research, I chose the Fireside Inn and Suites. Great value for the money. Thoroughly enjoyed Geaghan’s Pub and Brewery located next door as well. I would definitely recommend staying there. Should I be in the Bangor area again, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Enjoyed the room with a fireplace and close to places to eat. Inn is across from Hollywood Casino and Paul Bunyan statue. No breakfast, but coffee/tea available and frig in room.

Older hotel. Needs updating. AC made room musty smelling. Not worth price if you’re staying for a concert in the area. They jack the price up. The connecting Irish pub restaurant has really good food and service.

Took over an hour to even find the office to check in - very difficult to find - no breakfast included - burnt coffee - just altogether a horrible time - will never recommend this place to anyone.

I chose this hotel because it was walking distance to a concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. The hotel is very dated and no frills. However the room was clean and the staff was friendly. It's a perfectly fine spot to crash for a couple hours for an event, but if you are looking for something modern with a bunch of amenities, this isn't the spot.

The bathroom and carpets were filthy. The room and whole motel smelled of nasty cigarette smoke. This was a no smoking facility. I would have at least expected a clean bathroom for $427.96 per night. Not sure why I paid that the room was worth $65.00 maximum.

The guy that checked us in was one of the most miserable human beings I’ve ever met in my entire life. He seemed completely inconvenienced by the fact that we were checking in. We were allowed to check in early, which was nice though. The property itself appears somewhat rundown, and there were homeless people going through the garbage cans and cigarette but dispensers. Our vehicles did stay safe overnight in their lot. The room was definitely dated, but it was clean. Property was quiet and was close to everything that we needed in Bangor, walking. We did not eat at the attached restaurant, although we heard it got great reviews. There was enough green space for our dog to relieve herself as well. We kept her with us during the day though. Overall, if we had to come to Bangor again, we would not stay here.
