Big Victorian hotel just outside the town centre but walkable in 10 minutes. Easy to get onto the moors behind the hotel as there’s a footpath near. Comfortable bed and brand new bathroom. Plenty of parking space.

One night stay room only which was very comfortable. Hotel is a grand old dame which is slightly tired in places but was very clean and with a warm welcome. The car park access should be better signposted when approaching from front of hotel. We did not experience the bistro nor bar.

Didn't have breakfast so can't comment Room was quite small but fine for our needs Comfortable bed Easy parking We were attending a family wedding in the area so wasn't at the hotel much only to sleep We had a quick look round after we checked out and it really is a beautiful building If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay again

I didn’t like walking over the very rough area of the car park, nor having to carry luggage up the outside steps leading to the entrance of the hotel.

Overall good stay with the Craiglands, nice big car park and big capacity hotel with a relatively cost effective price for the area. Hotel decor and fittings are a little dated overall but by no means would I call it tatty or tired, that means lovely grand features amongst some things which feels like they could do with an update. Comfortableand clean stay. Staff were very friendly if a bit sparse during my stay. A large coach trip of East Asians happened to be staying at the same time I was there which didn't cause any real disruption to my visit except for not staying for dinner or breakfast, which I found easily a pretty short walk away (10 mins tops downhill to be in town - uphill to return if you were doing that and Ilkley is a bit hilly away from the centre being in the valley). Overall good stay, would stay again especially if price continues to be the differentiator Vs some of the more central options - I paid £90 for a night here when The Crescent in the town centre was asking £140-£150 - The Crescent is glorious but on a business trip I'm penny pinching!

Great stay with the most friendly courteous staff I have met in a hotel. Great warm welcome at reception and great service from the staff at dinner and breakfast. Room very clean and bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast very good with good choice. The hotel is old fashioned and has real character I would stay again and recommend

The building itself is a beautiful building, however there was a slope in the floor of our bedroom we had frosted glass windows and the furniture is all very tired and needs a complete overhall. The cobwebs between the wardrobe and wall were unacceptable and the bathroom was clean but very old.

First room we were given had the smell of stale urinne. Only one other room available which was a small dingy room at the rear of the hotel. We booked a double but didn't even get a double bed. We got a three quarters which was uncomfortable. Complained to reception but told the manager doesn't work weekends. Breakfast ok. All in all, really not what you expect from a hotel in 2024. Paid £122 but worth around £38.

Beautiful Victorian Hotel in lovely area. Close proximity to moors and also town centre. Dining menu excellent and really enjoyed food. Very good breakfast. Bedroom very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very pleasant hotel, clean and spacious and mostly very quiet. Tea and coffee making facilities in room and a bathrobe provided. The room was too warm and no thermostat on the radiator - I had the windows open throughout. On the last day, someone entered the room around 7am, despite having locked the door. I suspect a member of hotel staff, but it felt very unsafe.

If you're staying in Ilkley, the Craiglands is your go to hotel. There's a lot still to like about the place. Reception is friendly, bar area is good and the place is clean. Go upstairs, not so much. The place looks tired with a lot of fading wooden door and old carpets. My room was fine, but again, it's old. It gives you the feel of how things were in the 80's and nobody has bothered to give the place an update. Finish on a positive, the breakfast was good!!!

Need to update the bathroom. Very odd to not have a shower stall, that is not a stall but a drain in the middle of the shower area. The shower curtain does not go lower to the floor and not the length of the shower area. The sink is to low, near to my knees.

We had a deluxe room which was huge. Superking bed,refurbished bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. For the price and location, we thought it was excellent value.

Beautiful hotel. Staff lovely. Room clean and comfortable. Very little staff, so they were multi-tasking, so I had to wait for a while for service at the bar for food and drink as it was the receptionist serving here too. Breakfast was lovely. Its a great location for both town and walks.

AVOID!! Where do I begin….30 mins to check in….room absolutely shaking with noise due to disco below…go down to complain and met with screaming guests swearing for same reason…rude manager…and a guest so drunk they were unconscious in the reception area ..all this with 4 children with me! Manager in morning equally as rude

No one at check in desk and had to wait quite a while for someone to arrive despite ringing the bell. In the bar had to wait 15 minutes for someone to serve me after ringing the bell three times. Room small but clean. Noisy corridor outside room. Breakfast ran out of hash browns and couldn’t find anyone to ask for more. I think the staff are stretched and often double up on roles.

Big Victorian hotel just outside the town centre but walkable in 10 minutes. Easy to get onto the moors behind the hotel as there’s a footpath near. Comfortable bed and brand new bathroom. Plenty of parking space.

Second time visit for an overnight stay in an area we used to live in. The standard rooms are large, clean, well furnished and have a big modern bathroom. Public rooms were all clean, well decorated and furnished. Didn't use Bistro but the breakfast choice was good and plentiful. Great location for touring the Dales.

Beautiful hotel. Staff lovely. Room clean and comfortable. Very little staff, so they were multi-tasking, so I had to wait for a while for service at the bar for food and drink as it was the receptionist serving here too. Breakfast was lovely. Its a great location for both town and walks.

Overall good stay with the Craiglands, nice big car park and big capacity hotel with a relatively cost effective price for the area. Hotel decor and fittings are a little dated overall but by no means would I call it tatty or tired, that means lovely grand features amongst some things which feels like they could do with an update. Comfortableand clean stay. Staff were very friendly if a bit sparse during my stay. A large coach trip of East Asians happened to be staying at the same time I was there which didn't cause any real disruption to my visit except for not staying for dinner or breakfast, which I found easily a pretty short walk away (10 mins tops downhill to be in town - uphill to return if you were doing that and Ilkley is a bit hilly away from the centre being in the valley). Overall good stay, would stay again especially if price continues to be the differentiator Vs some of the more central options - I paid £90 for a night here when The Crescent in the town centre was asking £140-£150 - The Crescent is glorious but on a business trip I'm penny pinching!

We enjoyed our stay very much, except for one glaring issue…the breakfast buffet was a zoo, guests hoarding food, staff being unfriendly and pushy, no food being stocked in the buffet…the young man at the check in was very nice and felt bad, but the older woman on staff was terribly pushy and abusive. It’s too bad because the hotel is nice and the front desk was responsive. Also, our dinner the first night was absolutely delicious!

Had a good stay. Hotel was a 10 minute walk to all the facilities the town so had a good choice of bars and restaurants. Arrived on the Monday evening and no food was being served as restaurant was closed. No offer of snacks only basic chips from the restaurant. Room was large and spacious and the hotel is in a very nice spot and we had good views of Ilkley Moor. The bar and restaurant area lack atmosphere and is not appealing so we didn't eat there. In all good value for money for the three days

If you're staying in Ilkley, the Craiglands is your go to hotel. There's a lot still to like about the place. Reception is friendly, bar area is good and the place is clean. Go upstairs, not so much. The place looks tired with a lot of fading wooden door and old carpets. My room was fine, but again, it's old. It gives you the feel of how things were in the 80's and nobody has bothered to give the place an update. Finish on a positive, the breakfast was good!!!

Terrible menu, nowhere near enough staff, some of whom don't seem to speak English. Not enough tables for dinner, food is Terrible when it does show up. No care or apparent skill in the kitchen. I was served a chilli with raw kidney beans and fish and chips with raw chips. Avoid if you can

Beautiful Victorian Hotel in lovely area. Close proximity to moors and also town centre. Dining menu excellent and really enjoyed food. Very good breakfast. Bedroom very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing. No all-day bar menu even though it is listed online and in the room, breakfast was all diy with cold plates and tea out of a machine by the cup. Room was clean although no way to adjust the heating. En-suite was good.

We booked an accessible room as I'm a new wheelchair user, there's a fab gradual ramp for easy access, doors were heavy & awkward to use, easy check in, the lift was small my husband pushed me in but struggled to stand behind me. Arrived to room on entrance felt the bed was quite close to the door, on unpacking we realised there were no plugs on the right handside of the bed, except by the mirror which was the far end of the room,which I needed for medical equipment, and my phone, there was 2 double sockets on the left, one mid wall by the door the other by the wardrobe otherside of the door, we did get a single extension lead from reception, I used the one by the wardrobe for my phone. We could hear music which went on for a while but was unsure where it was coming from. The bathroom was really lovely with a roll in shower, a secure foldable seat, good height toilet, very spacious. It would be good if there was a sheltered area to smoke. Breakfast was a good choice, cereal, pastries, fruit, cooked breakfast lots of drink choice, unfortunately the breakfast wasn't very hot, which is a shame as it tasted nice. Overall it's a lovely hotel, in a beautiful building. A menu for room service would be a good idea.

Really great hotel, stayed for two nights, super close to the town although is up a fairly steep hill so worth bearing in mind if you have luggage etc. Would definitely go back!
