For a quick lake getaway, this was a a reasonable, clean and well stocked option. The owner was very responsive. The houses are close together, so you are aware of neighbors and other guests, but we found the trip peaceful. There is a pretty view of the lake from the dock, with quite a bit of bird watching with herons, egrets and ducks. The kayaks were definitely a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked, and the house was clean and comfortable.

The house has a nice screened porch that faces west for the sunsets. Nice showers and nice kitchen. Large living area makes the house feel larger than it is with plenty of room. Everything we needed to cook was provided. The host was responsive and helpful when we had questions. It was nice to be waterfront in Abbott’s Creek where we could dock the boat at the floating dock and come and go fishing as much as we wanted. We live on Gaston where the water level is kept in certain parameters. But it was nice that Highpoint Lake was 3 feet below full. It allowed us to motor under the Hwy 8 bridge and tour the whole lake. We caught a few fish and had fun.

Great location on the lake! House was clean and stocked with day to day essentials. Chris was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

My sister, mother, and I have stayed here before and our stay this time was just as wonderful! This is such a nice location and the home is very nice and relaxing! Chris is great to work with. Hope we will be able to visit again!!

The place is very nice and looks like the photos. However, it would have been nice if they had used a broom or something to sweep away the many, many cobwebs from INSIDE the screened porch. Also, all of the notes posted inside the house with the "rules" that included threats about deposit loss was very unwelcoming. I suggest adding the rules to the information book instead of posting them all over the house. Overall we had a good weekend.
