NH Collection Madrid Paseo del Prado

The property was being remodeled. Thus the Bar was closed, the Front Desk was moved to another area. The staff was extremely friendly. Unfortunately the “superior room with View” room was TINY in the first floor with a “great” view of the trees. When asked about the accommodations they insisted that was the room assigned. Mixed feelings about this Hotel.

We got in, no VIP treatment. We when tout and found our room all dusted and everything covered in white dust from a construction they have.

The room is small, but that's not the real problem. The furniture in the room are clumsy, i.e., not the right types for the limited space, and poorly positioned making the room rather cluttered. For a hotel of this class, it's odd that there is only one elevator.

Lobby and check-in was under renovation. One elevator (the only one down to the breakfast area) was not working. Room was beautiful but so chilly, I could not sit and read. Room was colder than the hallways and the elevators. I turned the heat to the max (23 C or 73 F) but it never rose to that temperature. There was no way to make it warmer. I appreciate they are trying to conserve energy, but if the heat is malfunctioning, there should be an option to set it higher, hoping the actual temperature would still be reasonable. Maintenence came, and management also and said they had fixed something centrally, but it never improved. If I had been staying one more night, I would have requested another room, but it wasn't worth it for my 18 hour stay. The room's odd shape and single air vent may have contributed. There was a reasonable sized bedroom with a bathroom leading off at an angle, and an alcove with chair and minibar at another angle. Sort of Y shaped. Another odd design feature was in the bathroom. A makeup mirror was located on the far end of the sink counter. But the only way to get there was between a towel rack that was attached to the counter and a bidet on the other size. There was only a 6 inch wide space to get to the mirror, and I estimate it was 3 or 4 feet long, so you couldn't lean over to reach it. Sometimes, rooms booked through Expedia mean you get the least desirable rooms, and I think this may have been the case. Pluses- stylish, great location staf

Mixed feelings. My opinion its not a 5 stars hotel. Missing some major features. Also, breakfast isn't included. In order to pay €7 less you have to prebook? And the place wasn't busy at all. Gym is on the rooftop, but to get there one has to get outside and walk the stairs. Anyway, bot coming back.

O quarto escolhido tinha um tamanho pequeno, abrindo 2 malas grandes com certa dificuldade. Localização muito boa, perto das grandes atrações, mas sem estar numa área com multidão. Academia ok para treinar o básico. Hotel deixa uma água por dia gratuita que ajuda tb!

Estimados señores, Les escribo para expresar mi descontento con el servicio de estacionamiento que recibí durante mi reciente estancia en su hotel en Madrid. Reservé una habitación por una noche y se me informó que el hotel contaba con estacionamiento. Sin embargo, cuando llegué al hotel a la 1 o 2 de la madrugada, me informaron de que no había espacio disponible en el estacionamiento. Después de mucho insistir, la persona de recepción accedió a que dejara mi automóvil en la zona de estacionamiento de 15 minutos. A la mañana siguiente, a las 7 de la mañana, recibí una llamada urgente del hotel solicitándome que moviera mi automóvil porque necesitaban el espacio. Considero inaceptable que un hotel que cobra más de 400 euros por noche y que anuncia que tiene estacionamiento no pueda proporcionar un espacio para aparcar los automóviles de sus huéspedes. Se me deberia de reembolsar el importe del estacionamiento y que se tomen medidas para garantizar que esta situación no vuelva a ocurrir en el futuro.

No los gustó la decoración y mobiliario de la suite ,, todo muy mal cuidado , sucio y de aspecto usado ,, la parte de cuero de la cama estaba ROTA !! Falta urgente renovar las piezas La suciedad con q nos encontramos en la pieza ,, con restos de comida y polvo debajo de la cama y velador ,, más Pelos en la Ducha ,, nos hicieron pasar un mal momento .Ver fotos

The hotel was great, staff awesome, location, amenities, all good. The only problem was that I was bit by bed bugs, the hotel needs to fix this.

For this hotel the location is key however y experienced it lower than my expectations. Not so clean and old looked to me.

We loved everything about this hotel. The service, breakfast and the cleaness of the room is what we loved about it.

This hotel was very clean and the Stack were very nice. We enjoyed our stay at this location.

EL LUGAR ES COMODO Y BIEN SITUADO. UN EDIFICIO VIEJO PERO BIEN AREGLADO POR DENTRO. EL BUFFET MUY BIEN PRESENTADO. LA ATENCION DE LA hOSTESS NUBIA EXCELENTE, DE 10. TODOS EN GENERAL TANTO EN LA RECEPCION COMO LA CONCIERGE ETC TODOS MUY AMABLES. LA LIMPIEZA DEL CUARTO NO ESTABA DEL TODO BIEN. MUCHO POLVO BAJO LAS CAMAS. LAS PAREDES DEL BAÑO LLENAS DE POLVO.

El hotel excelente, simepre volvemos en cada viaje que hacemos a Madrid. Habitación de buen tamaño, limpia, baño amplio y camas cómodas. Desayuno surtido en el hotel. Area segura , con actividades, restaurantes y museos. Hotel muy centrico, cerca de la estación Atocha y vias principales.

Fiquei decepcionada com o hotel, não o considero um 5 estrelas, talvez um 4 estrelas. A limpeza deixou a desejar. Pude notar que nos 4 dias que estivemos no quarto este não foi varrido. O bidê tinha um pó meio gorduroso, não tive coragem de usar. O café da manhã era caríssimo e não tinha a qualidade condizente. O quarto no primeiro andar era muito perto da rua. Perto de 23h, todos os dias que estive lá parava um caminhão de lixo que durante uma hora ficava ligado “digerindo” o lixo do hotel. E o bar do hotel serviu uma porção de croquetes com um deles com cabelo, apesar de não cobrar o consumo, fiquei chocada e mal impressionada. Francamente, o NH não é mais o mesmo. O ponto alto é a localização.

Fantastic location, just across the street from El Prado. Quick and convenient to Puerta Del Sol, Plaza Mayor, etc.. Service was on-point, which is what you would expect from this type of property. The only let down was bed comfort.

Place was clean and quiet and service was great. We requested a double bed but received two twin beds. Beds weren’t that comfortable for a 5 star hotel, but we would likely stay here again

Beautiful design, bed was a little firm for my taste.

This is a lovely hotel; however, the rooms are very warm and the room we stayed in could not be moderated. The bathroom was very narrow which presented some problems since my husband is 6'3" and the toilet was immediately behind the door.

The hotel is in an excellent location to visit the museums, botanical gardens, restaurants and shopping. Easily walkable to the La Latina area. Service and staff excellent.

Las centros de consumo estaban en remodelación deberían de avisar antes de aceptar la reservacion, no había donde comer nada, los cuartos muy chicos

Very nicely located, room was satisfactory but small, barely room to be anywhere other than the bed

Great location. Room on the small side; oddly shaped and laid out. Not easy to get around the bed and only one bedside table. Helpful staff. Ok breakfast. More 4 star than 5.

Staff was fantastic.

The first time we stayed here we got the VIP access benefits like the room upgrade and welcome drink. However, this time we got nothing even though we asked. Expedia should enforce those benefits otherwise there is no need to call it VIP access

Upscale modern hotel steps from Prado and Thyssen-Borneo’s museums. Staff are professional and friendly. They let us check in early at no charge. Plenty of cute restaurants on back streets up the hill behind the hotel.

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf in dit hotel! Vanaf het warme welkom bij aankomst tot het moment van vertrek voelde alles verzorgd en gastvrij aan. De kamer was ruim, schoon en sfeervol ingericht, met veel aandacht voor detail. Ook het bed lag heerlijk waardoor we echt tot rust konden komen. Het personeel verdient een extra compliment: altijd vriendelijk, behulpzaam en met een glimlach. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en zeer smakelijk, met voor ieder wat wils. De ligging van het hotel is ideaal – rustig, maar toch dichtbij alle bezienswaardigheden. Kortom: een absolute aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar comfort, service en gezelligheid. Wij komen hier zeker terug!

The location was perfect for visiting the Prado and other museums.The breakfast was wonderful. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful with restaurant suggestions, train reservations and more.

Yasmin Mancuso at Guest relations department was so helpful in getting us great restaurant reservations.

The staff went overboard to be of service. Particularly, Jose who walked 2 blocks down Paseo del Prado to help us move our luggage to the hotel. The streets were closed due to a protest by the Police over working conditions. We had to walk from the train station with our luggage because the taxis were not willing to transport us to the hotel. The entire staff went out of the way to ensure our dtsy in Madrid was excellent.

We loved this hotel! The location was excellent, right across from the Prado Museum. The staff were very friendly, room was very nice, roof top gym was incredible, and breakfast buffet was amazing. We had a wonderful stay here.

This is a beautiful hotel, right across the street from the Prado. It is within walking distance of many of the most significant places in Madrid. The rooms are very nice and the staff is excellent.

Es una propiedad antigua, con una arquitectura y decoración muy peculiar. Con muy buen mantenimiento y limpieza. Desayuno muy completo. Muy buena ubicación, personal muy atento.
