Hotel Konvice

Quiet room in a charming small hotel in the middle of Cesky Krumlov.

Lovely old style friendly hotel in a very pretty town.

A small hotel with a lot of charm, just like the city where it is located

Our room was in a very old heritage building in the middle of the old town, typical from old Krumlov. It was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too flat. The bathroom needs renovation; it still works but the shower head was precariously hanging from a loose bar and the fan was very noisy. Breakfast was very good, many fresh options and good coffee. During a very hoy morning we enjoyed it in the terrace with a great view of the castle. The reception is not open all day; it closes at 18. We arrived at 17. Despite having informed the hotel our arrival time, the reception was closed. The restaurant downstairs is connected to the hotel, so they called the owner and she showed up 20min later. Not great, we where tired. There is a kettle and tea in the room; unfortunately we weren't told that there was a coffee machine besides the reception, including a little fridge that could have come handy to keep cold water during the 30c days we had.

Loved Hotel Konvice as a place to stay. Large rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. Very nice family runs the place. If we get back to Cesky Krumlov we would go back to Hotel Konvice.
