Has a great rooftop pool and hot tub and also an indoor pool which is small but nice..it is right on boardwalk and beach. The parking is across the street. When i arrived to check in around 5pm on Wednesday the 7th of August 2024, the girl at front desk was not welcoming at all and spoke very very low that i could not hear one thing she said..i was practically laying across the desk to hear her and still couldn't. I feel she did this on purpose there is no way someone speaks that low..i asked where to park and could not hear what she said after asking and telling her several times that i couldn't hear her. She was very short with me and did not smile one time..Also, there were no wash clothes in my room, i called the front desk 3xs and asked for them and never received any and i asked at front desk and she said that she would tell someone..i never got any wash cloths and was there 3 nights.

We enjoyed our stay. Front desk clerk, George was top notch and so kind. We looked forward to seeing him each day. Pool could have been clearer. Also pool bar isn’t much. Canned beer, chips, and pretzels. No food and nothing fancy.

The hotel is in a nice location. The parking is terrible unless you get directly across the street. They only had one elevator and one ice machine that didn’t work. My room wasn’t clean when we checked in at 11pm. I reported it but it still didn’t get cleaned. We didn’t get service the entire time we stayed. The pool area was very nice on the roof. Morning staff was very very pleasant.

The parking situation was horrible. Pay either $22 for a reserved parking spot around the building which are limited and very tight or park across the street in a lot very narrow that has to be maneuvered just to get in and out of. Not suitable for SUVs or pick ups.

The rooftop pool is closed from Labor Day until May, which I expected, but with major festivals happening, you'd think they'd maintain and keep it open. The indoor pool is extremely small—more like a large hot tub—and not inviting. Worse, on our first night, the bathroom in the pool area had feces all over it. That was the only time we used the pool. The rooms feel outdated and could really use a refresh. One of the lights didn’t work, and there were noticeable dust bunnies that should’ve been cleaned. The toilet paper was also poor quality—minor, but frustrating. Price gouging during festivals is expected, but it feels unjustified when the property itself hasn’t been properly updated. There's only one elevator, which wasn’t a major issue for us since we were on the second floor, but still worth noting. The entire layout of the hotel is odd and not very convenient. Parking is another downside—either across the road, further down the street, or $20 per night for "premium" parking, which feels like a ripoff. Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Price we paid did not live up to the quality received. Pictures did not live up to the hype. smell was moldy, towels were rough , bed was not comfortable. I was not happy with my decision & immediately regretted the decision. It was near the boardwalk was the only benefit. I should have read the reviews prior. They should use fabric softener for the towls & blankets. Mold in the shower. Try elsewhere until they make corrections or renovations

Stayed at this hotel several times and this was the first time I was disappointed. The house keeping service was terrible. They took my trash and dirty towels did not replace them. Had to go to the front desk to request towels & toilet paper

The hotel was dirty when we checked in. The shower was filthy with the previous persons used soap still sitting there and hair all through the tub. Shower curtain looked like it hadn't been washed in months and there were no towels. Had to request multiple times to have it cleaned and it never was. To get new towels and even to take the garbage out to which they said it would be done tomorrow. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. And if you walked on the carpet it turned your socks black. The pool never had towels. Had a weird smell in the room that can't describe. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

I didn't like the parking. Across the street and down the road.. tight spaces! No one came to clean our room, i had to request towels, mold avove the tv aling ceiling. Over all i wont be re booking.

Honestly, only nice thing I have to say about this place is that it was a nice location & we had a nice view from our room. The rooms were dirty, upon arrival there was sand all over the floors, outlets didn’t have covers on them(traveling with a 2 year old, that was frightening), gapping hole around where their sprinkler for a fire, towel rack holder fell off the wall, absolutely filthy hot tub. Went to the front desk to talk to them about covers for the outlets and the concerns about the hot tub, to be greeted with “wow you are just looking for everything, aren’t you?” What friendly front desk staff this place has!! Then, I said I would like a refund because I felt insulted. They would only refund one night for our three night stay.. & we were asked to leave the premises to receive the one night refund only staying there for one night. Absolutely was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Unless you feel like being treated like a pile of crap from their front desk employee & relaxing in a brown bubble hot tub- I would recommend going somewhere else!!!!!!! Added photos of outlet & fire sprinkler, did not have my phone on me to take a picture of the hot tub.

Cons: noisy ac unit that dripped and made the carpet wet and room humid, shower water would only get tepid regardless of time of day, room was noisy due to poorly insulated balcony door, smelled of mildew and strong bleach, parking lots are too tight. Overall poor value for the high cost.

The space of the rooms was nice as well as the balcony. The parking was very difficult at first but once we found our parking it was fine. There was only one elevator so check in at 4pm was a bit chaotic. Plan to Use the steps a lot.

Room was good and I liked that it was on the smaller side. Closest parking lot was small and hard to maneuver around but the lot a block away was fine. Staff were friendly and our room was ready early which was helpful. One of the bed sheets had a small stain but housekeeping came up immediately to rectify. Pool bar was closed.

Great CS, thanks to Ana (Manager) for accommodating our early check in and to Louanne for giving us the premier parking permit as soon as we get there.

The parking is a concern as I had to park 2 at down , Then at check out Manager was extremely RUDE , yes it was 15 minutes after check out time that I came down because hair dry wasn’t working , I was told from Manager that if I would have checked out at 1130 am she would charge me additional fees … just her hole demeanor was RUDE , at it was a Sunday , THE LORDS DAY OF PRAYER

I’ve stayed at this location several times and it never disappoints. The AC in my room during this trip wasn’t working correctly and they switched my room with no questions asked which was perfect! Thanks Monte Carlo staff it’s always a pleasure staying with you guys!!!

Would not recommend hotel. Very musty smell. Staff is not helpful. Housekeeping is only upon request which is fine but could not get towels. Took over 24 hours to get towels for showering. Staff was rude.

Location excellent . Roof area excellent. Restaurant below is good! Front desk staff were consistently rude (no matter who was at the front desk) - sarcastic, do not elaborate, gives you a rude look if you ask them to please repeat themselves or if you are asking a question about the area.

My recent stay at Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City, MD, was a disaster. If I could give zero stars, I would. First off, there is zero security at the front. Random people were coming in and out, making me feel very unsafe. Sometimes the front desk person is missing at the front. I saw a random person walk in and walk out, while I was waiting for bedding that the only clerk went to retrieve. Cleanliness? Nonexistent. Our room was never made up, dirty washcloths were hanging in the shower, and the sofa bed was stained. There was no bedding, and when I asked for some, I had to wait downstairs. The clerk was rude, gave me attitude, and had a full breakdown before eventually apologizing. Daily maid service isn't provided unless you request it, and speaking to the staff felt like I was inconveniencing them. They were always visibly frustrated and unpleasant. Avoid this place at all costs. It's terrible!

Rooms were nice, and hotel is in a great location in the middle of everything. It was nice to park the car and not have to move it for the weekend. The rooftop pool/bar is awesome, and the bartender was super nice. Family friendly hotel with plenty of restaurants in the area, you can find something for everyone.

It was great as it was in an excellent location, was walking distance to the beach. Lots of eating options and had free parking. The rooms were comfortable easy to get around, equipped with all amenities. Price was reasonable for its location. I would stay here again.

Staff was very friendly and convenient to boardwalk. Pool was clean and fun. However, we booked our families stay here because we thought the pool top hotel and bar was a very fun thing to experience. The website does not state that the bar/grill up top is closed every day except weekends. It ONLY states open from Memorial Day- Labor Day. Very misguiding and was a bummer. Our rooms drainage system was stomped up from previous guest. Took 30 min for water to drain after filling up the tub showering each time we showered. Family of 7 here!!!. Standing in dirty water from previous guest was bothering and unsanitary. Shower was not cleaned! We had no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in refilled canister in shower. Left over residue all around containers from previous guest. I would assume if it was cleaned, the cleaners would have addressed the water not draining in both kitchen sink and shower.

We enjoyed the property and its proximity to the beach/ farewell. We were disappointed that the roof top bar wasn’t open all weekend which the hotel markets as a great amenity. The front desk staff weren’t able to give us a good reason why it was closed. It was definitely not due to inclement weather.

Great location. Hotel staff, especially Anna, were friendly. The pool bar was not open, so maybe they should take that off the page. Maybe they were short staffed and that's why the pool bar wasn't open--who knows?

We enjoyed our stay. Front desk clerk, George was top notch and so kind. We looked forward to seeing him each day. Pool could have been clearer. Also pool bar isn’t much. Canned beer, chips, and pretzels. No food and nothing fancy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Monte Carlo. The staff were professional, the communication was outstanding, check in and check out process was easy and seamless. The room was clean with updated furnishings, carpet, and tiled floor. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We appreciated the hotel's policy of no smoking of any kind permitted on or in the property. Easy to walk to everything. We loved the rooftop bar and pool (perfect view of sunsets). Our only recommendations would be to update the shower and showerheads. The showerhead was stationary and small. We could see the pipe protruding from the drywall. Overall, a nice place to stay for families, couples, and groups of friends.

Overall the property was excellent. The only thing I really missed was "No Continental Breakfast" and also not very many grocery stores around that allows us to obtain healthy foods.

Our stay at the hotel was decent. It served its purpose. Some staff members were more helpful than others. Upon the first night, there were no blankets supplied for the sofa bed in the room, and ended up having to use a beach towel to try and stay warm. In the morning and throughout the day, we had to ask 3 different times before a blanket was given to us. Then the nozzle on our shower kept popping off, and when staff was first notified it happened, it took awhile for them to attempt to fix it. They were very kind and friendly, but it seemed to take longer than necessary to figure out a fix. And even so, it kept popping off throughout the whole stay and definitely needed a stronger repair. The elevator is extremely slow, so if you’re not handicap, you’ll definitely get to where you need to go quicker by using the stairs. The parking is pretty horrendous. If you have anything bigger than a small car, be warned!!! The spaces are small, close and tight. And one of the lots is 2 blocks away, so be prepared to walk. The rooftop bar is also not fully stocked. It’s only beer, seltzers, etc. No hard liquor. The indoor pool is tiny. Overall, our stay was ok. Like I said, it served its purpose of providing us a place to be that was pretty clean and kept us cool and dry, and safe during a tornado warning, but we most likely won’t be back.
