Reception staff very good. All other staff not very engaging. Travelled up to watch the football and restaurant was shut by the time we got back. Bar shut at 11 even for hotel guests and no room service. Not many good food option’s locally

Staff were extremely friendly , kind and welcoming For a 4 star hotel i would have hoped for a little more in certain areas. They did not supply anti allergy bedding which made for a very unpleasant morning after a sneezy night. Similarly there are no bathrobes in the rooms. Finally the parking is £12 a day . But the hotel was clean and quiet. The gym was good , but only 1 bench so if more than 2 people were exercising it would be impossible.

Idea spot on the Quays. Lovely hotel. Busy reception area but lovely bar and staff were very friendly. Found the parking quite expensive and no reduction for hotel residents so found another a 5 minute walk away.

Unfortunately the cladding is currently being replaced, so dark rooms and some noise and associated disruption. Car-park tiny for the hotel, no details given of where else to park (opposite hotel there is a pub, adjacent to this is a car-park for £7.50/24hrs). Staff friendly and efficient but not so great service at breakfast- tables not cleaned after previous guests, no cutlery set out, poor range of items on one day, better next.

Great welcome and water in room. Parking on site good. Paid for buffet breakfast that was fine. Hot food took a while to be replenished. Bar busy but really slow. 2 people seving one order rather than 2 Slept reasonably well but got woken by noisy fridge at night.

The hotel itself, and the breakfast, were both good, and overall our stay was nice. We were disappointed, however, with the staff in some instances (whether they were maybe just new - but checking in, taking payments, sorting parking, etc all seemed to take forever). We were also disappointed with the cleanliness. Granted it was a busy weekend with a football match on, but there were hairs left in the bathroom, toenail clippings on the bedroom floor, and the surfaces were dirty from previous occupants.

Could do with redecorating rooms. Room was ok duvet cover had a small hole in it and head board on bed was scratched a lot. They need to move chairs when cleaning as sat down and crumbs under chair by windows. Staff friendly enough and the complimentary water in the fridge was a good touch. Food overpriced so didn’t bother with breakfast

My husband and I arrived to a very friendly welcome, the receptionist checked if a room was ready as we arrived early. The room was very clean with a lovely queen size bed, very comfortable. The lady serving at the bar was very friendly and offered to carry our drinks to where we were sitting. The reception and lounge areas were immaculate, the outside area was a lovely place to sit and relax.

Booked a 2 night stay. Paid for parking and breakfast, when I checked I had been overcharged. The room was comfortable, pillows not so much! Went for breakfast- self service, went to the tea and coffee station and it was covered in ants- I know in January, it was dirty, explained this to the waitress. Went to get breakfast- no plates! When I asked for a plate, the waitress got some dinner plates and I said sorry I wanted a small plate, she got them out of the cupboard slammed them down and stormed off, saying that she was too busy! The whole food area was dirty, dried on beans on the servery all the utensils had caked on food on them, the bacon was hard as nails… goodness knows how long it had been there and everything else was cold and inedible. I had a piece of toast and that was it. I went to inform reception, they were polite, but unable to do anything as there was no manager on shift! We didn’t have breakfast the 2nd morning, I couldn’t face eating there. Still waiting to find out if we are going to be refunded, if not I paid £12 for a piece of toast. There are very few places to park by the hotel and overnight parking is £14 per night. Would I return? No, there are plenty of other hotels in the area that I am sure have a better standard of cleanliness Also, I plugged the hair dryer in and when I switched it on the lights in the room were flicking!! There is only one mirror in the room that is on the back of the door, so nowhere to sit and do your hair or makeup

Hotel is lovely, a bit more care needed for the smaller details, glasses in our room were used and smelt of beer, and some of the furniture had seen better days. Staff at the hotel were very friendly though and the hotel itself was lovely.

We stayed for 2 nights. Really clean and modern. A couple of minors issues; shower is quite a poor flow, air con didn’t work and as we faced a busy road hard to keep the window open. Lack of well placed mirrors for drying hair or doing makeup. Otherwise a great hotel.

Great hotel with pleasant staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Been to this hotel a few times now and it's always a good experience. There was a problem with teh TV's this time however, they kept freezing and losing their connection to the server which was anoying. I did report to reception and they were aware of the problem and apologised. They always have the subtitles turned on as well which is anoyying as you can't turn them off. Very distracting for those of us that don't need them turned on.

The hotel was really conveniently situated for our trip to the Lowry theatre. The room was a good size and very clean. However there was no mirror anywhere near a plug socket so trying to style your hair is a bit tricky. We were also really disappointed to find a very tatty and peeling leather headboard which had been strategically covered by the position of the pillows. With parking this hotel was nearly £200 for a night - not what you would expect at all.

Never had breakfast so can’t rate staff very friendly and helpful room very spacious bed very soft not comfortable at all then the 2 nights we stayed all we heard was shouting and door’s slamming keeping us awake most of night very disappointed so unfortunately we would not book this hotel again

Bed was terrible, so soft it was like a water bed and hurt my back. The minibar was so loud it woke me up multiple times. It was however pretty clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The appearance was good. The bed and fridge ruined it for me though.

Great hotel in a good location, just across the road from a tram stop and close to Salford Quays. Spacious and comfortable modern room, decent food and good selection at breakfast. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.

The room was very nice it was giving luxury vibes but cozy at the same time the bed was absolutely perfect so comfy and bouncy I didn’t want to get out of bed 😂everything was just 10/10 and the staff at reception so friendly and nice

Nice enough hotel in a great location. Room was clean with great view of the quays but a bit tired wallpaper peeling at seams and bed not the most comfortable and the heater was so noisy the only way to turn it off was taking the key card out!

An airvent near the window was broken and the wind blew through it all night as we couldn't close it. We had to stuff toilet oaper into it to try and get some slerp.

An excellent stay at the AC by Marriott in Salford. Excellent welcome and customer service by all staff. Lovely breakfast. The only two minor drawbacks were that the bed was on the small side compared to recent stays in two local hotels, Innside by Amelia in Manchester and Radisson Red in Liverpool, which had spoiled us a bit. The bed had also obviously been used a lot for solo stays, as we both rolled into the middle which led to a restless nights sleep. As someone with slightly reduced mobility, the step up over the bath was a bit tricky. Overall though, an excellent stay.

Always have a great stay here at the AC Marriott Hotel, Salford Quays. Polite and efficient staff (especially Carolina on reception). Nothing too much trouble. So handy for all the concerts we frequent. Breakfast is faultless. Rooms immaculate. Cannot recommend highly enough! Exceptional throughout. Always visit when in Manchester and always look forward to it. Absolutely love it.

So handy for all the concerts we frequent. Breakfast is faultless. Rooms immaculate. Cannot recommend highly enough! Exceptional throughout. Always visit when in Manchester and always look forward to it. Absolutely love it.

Booked via hotels.com and paid in full which was confirmed at the hotel. Then paid for parking and the deposit from a separate account at arrival. The morning of check out the hotel had charged us a further £102.90 despite confirming the payment (£180ish) was accepted in full before check in. We have reached out to chase our money back and still have not recieved an answer. We were left with next to no money for our trip which extremely dampened our experience. We have still not recieved any response for the hotel despite the receptionist apologising but the reasoning for why this has occurred was not provided. The hotel itself was lovely, clean and felt incredibly homely. It is a shame that we have been charged an extra £100 as we will not stay in a Marriott again as it is clear they cannot be trusted to handle a simple check in check out procedure.

Had to leave my room 4/5 different times from the 7th floor to get an extra duvet. Reception said they will sort, then after the 3rd time of coming down for the duvet, the receptionist was clocking off. Considering the price, overall terrible

Great hotel in a good location, just across the road from a tram stop and close to Salford Quays. Spacious and comfortable modern room, decent food and good selection at breakfast. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.

This hotel is a great budget option—much better than places like Ibis or Premier Inn. We experienced an issue with the air conditioning not working, but an engineer arrived promptly, explained that the room’s thermostat needed replacing, and arranged a room change within 30 minutes. He was very polite and went above and beyond to help. On the morning of checkout, we felt like taking it easy and decided to request a late checkout. When we called reception, we were told we had to come down in person to pay for it. This was quite inconvenient and led us to just check out at the regular time instead. We also noticed silverfish in the bathroom, and the sink wasn't draining properly. When we mentioned this at checkout, the reception staff didn’t seem particularly concerned, which was disappointing. It’s not reassuring to see pests in a hotel bathroom. Despite these issues, the check-in staff and maintenance team were excellent, and overall, we had a good stay. Still, we left wondering—why not allow late checkout payment over the phone or at checkout time? A little more flexibility and communication would go a long way.

If your Hotel Chain had more than one Mariyam at your reception, It would grow its customer base by at least 10 percent more. At your Salford unit, she is the epitope of customer service. As for Ricardo, the less said the better.

The second morning there were different staff and I had to wait around 15 minutes to receive my breakfast and the bowl of fruit and cooked breakfast turned up at the same time. Stayed here overnight when going to the theatre at the Lowry. Conveniently situated, the tram to Media City and the Lowry is a short walk away. Three stops to Media City. Clean, comfortable with welcoming staff.

Perfect 2 night stay, superb location to Old Trafford, easy check room and facilities excellent , shower is amazing, staff friendly and parking on site which was great will definitely be returning.

Super convenient location. If you’re in town for a Manchester United game, it’s the spot to be. Hotel is up to date. Everything works without issue. Even the gym provides guest with free waters. Everything is walking distance. (Food, Tram, Stadium, Shopping)

We had a lovely stay the only thing we was disappointed with the breakfast good selection of food but all of the English breakfast was very dried up which was a shame.

I thought the meals were overpriced for size and no sides included. Food on breakfast buffet not covered enough to keep fresh for length of time of breakfast hours. No rolls with soup. ,and brown bread of any type unavailable. Good coffee machine and choice. Fresh and lemon flavoured water available at all times. Liked the fittings in accessible bedroom,and easy to keep clean and hygienic. Hotel a pleasant place to stay,and helpful staff. Thankyou all.

Didn't have our details in the system for some reason, so check-in took a long time. Breakfast was a bit cold and not of a very high standard. Overall a bit disappointing considering the cost.

The restaurant offers a very limited basic selection.when I asked for a menu I was told to expect 25 - 30 minutes wait as the kitchen was busy, I was surprised as there was less than 10 people there.issue started when I went to order half menu missing so after changing my selection ordered beef lasagna with a side of fries. The quality of the food served was bland sloppy mess of a lasagna and 10 minutes later the fries arrived. The waiter looked shocked when he asked if everything was ok ?? I replied no with an explanation, he just moved away

Great welcome and water in room. Parking on site good. Paid for buffet breakfast that was fine. Hot food took a while to be replenished. Bar busy but really slow. 2 people seving one order rather than 2 Slept reasonably well but got woken by noisy fridge at night.

Great hotel, stayed here many times. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Good location just a short walk to the tram which will get you into Manchester centre or Salford Quays or you can walk if it isn’t raining.. Food is OK but not a huge amount of choice but breakfast is above average with loads of choices.

Check in smooth and efficient. Booked two double deluxe rooms with queen size bed but was disappointed that one room had twin beds which put a dampener on our stay. Despite messaging reception no reply was received or apology. Bar area was lovely. Only one lift working instead of two.
