Ramada by Wyndham Metairie New Orleans Airport

The pool was very dirty and appeared unsafe to enter.

the gym don’t work and there’s no free weights

This property was just what I needed for a one night stay. It was clean but more of an antique feeling. Not the most up to date, but not bad for price and location. I felt safe as soon as I walked in I could see multiple cameras behind the desk. There weren’t any parking fees and they returned the deposit fast. I’d stay here again for a one night or weekend stay. The rooms also had balcony’s.

I stay at this Ramada regularly for work, and have good experiences. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. However, this stay, and my previous stay, both in the same room, were marred by two things. 1. The mattress in Room 205 is hard as a rock. I’ve not experienced this in other rooms at this property. I now know to avoid this room if I want to walk without pain after a night in this bed. 2. The elevator has been out of service in the morning as I go to leave during both stays. Fortunately I’m not dealing with large amounts of luggage as a solo traveler, so using the stairs over using the elevator at the rear of the property is not a huge issue. That being said, I’ll probably stay here again as I’ve had good service and it is convenient. I just won’t stay in room 205.

Property was in disrepair e.g.both the sink and tub didn't drain properly, there was mildew in the shower, pool was murky and there was a colony of live bugs swimming around by the steps.

Was expecting to go swimming but the pool was closed and it’s only open til 8pm. Staff wasn’t as friendly or helpful. Kept finding someone’s long hairs within the bedding and towels in our room. We got stuck in the elevator after only being at the hotel for 30 minutes and weren’t able to get in contact with anyone to let them know we needed help. Call button didn’t work on the elevator nor did the front desk answered when I called and we only got out due to my fiancé being able to pry the doors open. Don’t plan on staying again.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Swimming pool was closed for maintenance. Restaurant next door to hotel.

Great location. Pool was great in the heat. IHOP on site was fantastic

No free breakfast since IHop is connected but they did have coffee in the mornings......Room was clean bathrooms remodeled...Very cute hotel for a Ramada in. Only thing is the fitness room was not the best. Old equipment and some of it was broken. Pool was green (May in New Orleans ..... so swim weather.) Other than that we would stay there again. Oh but there do have door stoppers on the outside of the hotel doors....weird. And if it falls while the door is shut you will NOT be able to get out of your room.....had to call the front office and it was due to the door stopper.

Pool was closed even though it was 80 degrees out. Very noisy as freeways practically wrap around the place

Room was ok except for the roaches

Property was decent. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The biggest issue was the smell. The smell was a combination of Marijuana smoke and a wet dog. However, the room i was in on the 4th floor did not smell at all. The room itself was clean and functioned as it should.

Close to the airport, restaurants and near to where my friends live that I was visiting. There was evident wear and tear on some of the furniture, cracking in what appeared to be a resurfacing of the bath tub, wall damage around and behind the light switch in the bathroom and wall sockets would not hold a plug for my phone. However, I consider this minor and there were phone chargers available on the lamp and night stand.

It was awful customer service was awful don't go there the smell of this place was sour like old mildew in the elevator like the place had been flooded from a storm.i was in room 303 I ended up getting bitten by bed bugs my grandkids did also bugs.manager never called me to say anything.they didn't even offer to move me to a different room maintenance tried to scrape the bed bugs off the head boad by the wall.i spent over 1,200 at that place.i wouldn't recommend no one going there.i sent them video's and pictures of me . manager never call me.the Staff kept saying she wasn't there.finally I left check out and went to another Hotel the Holiday Inn Express Suites on highway 51 in LaPlace.i was there all the way from Florida and I couldn't leave because of back surgery and it was so cold in Louisiana.i stayed in that room from that Friday to Tuesday because of the cold weather.2 times I complained of the bed bugs until they finally pulled the headboard down and it was full of bed bugs

I took pictures to send in when you arrive it smells like mold, the room needs to be updated it was something smeared on the wall by the bed, the toilet moved when you sit on it and water came from under it some, mold around the vent in the bathroom, the tubs show had water waters on the drain and the shower head and the tub looks as if it has a diy cocking job, the room had some kind of smell i cant explain, the staff was extremely nice, the celling had parks come down in the hallway down stairs I feel it needs a lot of updating and upkeep, the furniture in the room appears to be second hand when we went to sit in the chair at the desk when we arrived it was broken and replace with one that was pealing I really wanted my money back and to go to another hotel but was told after the 13th I could not do anything with the reservation it was already paid for I had to get shower shoes to take a shower it just didn't look clear even after i wiped down with a antibacterial wipe i seen work being done on the roof they need to move to the rooms and the inside of the hotel

The whole hotel for over 8 hours without water.

The entire hotel smells awful. There is painting chipped and cracks throughout the rooms. The carpet is where the smell is coming from which is very outdated and needs to be removed. There was someone else hair all over the restroom. This is NOT a place for someone dealing with allergies at all.

No hot water in the whole hotel. Building in need of a good renovation.

The room was humid and the carpet was moist. The hallway and elevator had a funky smell

The hotel was really nice and cute! The bed was hard as a brick! Ya need new mattresses. Everything else about the hotel was great!

Older hotel. Bathtub in poor condition. No outlets near bed to charge phone with. Hwy noise easily heard through the glass doors.

I loved the balcony and getting to watch planes flying over at night! I enjoyed my stay

Pros: comfortable bed, felt safe, free parking, clean, right next to IHOP Cons: drawers on chest were broken (couldn't even put my clothes in the last 2 drawers.) Safe was broken last year and it's still broken this year. Fix the safes.

The safe on the room never worked. We asked for maintenance person but he said he doesn't di safes. The walls are paper thin, our last night we heard our neighbors who weren't obnoxiously noisy but even after we had security stop by at 12ish...we still heard them till 530am. Complaint went in to manager

The only things were the beds were hard as a rock and the wooden blinds didn’t block out much light. But other than that it was a great stay!

Overall my stay is good but a few problems one the mattress is hard on my back also the T V isn’t the right size for the rooms.

Fix the safes... stayed there last year and they were broken, still are. If you're not going to fix them, take them out and don't advertise that you have them. Cabinet drawers were broken and not useable. Other than that, everything was fine.

What really stands out is the staff. Friendly with a smile and made sure I was taken care of when I extended my stay.

Stay here often and usually top notch. This time, the chain for the toilet in my room was broken and it wouldn’t flush. Allegedly the front desk notified maintenance but no one ever came.

As we checked in staff was short and rude we would Ask questions through out our stay and they were simply rude . As we checked out there was 2 different front fest they were nice. The hotel itself is old and it had a funky smell, beds and pillows were so uncomfortable we were there from Friday to Monday not one night did I get any sleep it was as if something or someone was watching us in the room. The air conditioner was loud and made some weird noise literally all day and all night. Not worth the money or the time not staying here again

The hotel is in need of updating.Its in a very convenient location.The staff was friendly. Not happy that I had to pay $25 to check in 45 minutes early.

I arrived at 3:43 and they insisted I wait until 4 to check in. No regards to just wanting to check in, get keys and come back later to get into our room. Then, I came back at 6:30 to check in and there was not enough outlets to plug our devices to. Not worth the nightly rate they request.

Excellent staff easy check in and ample parking

The air conditioner in our room wasn’t working. I called the front desk and maintenance came right away and couldn’t fix it so they moved our room. Very friendly staff and prompt service.

One of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in when it comes to a hotel stay. Very restful visit. The staff was extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly.

This prop. is located kind of 15 to 20 north of New Orleans and about the same north to Kenner. Kenner has a lot of eateries at reasonable prices. That was usually the place where we'd eat dinner after breaking the bank in New Orleans during the day in food and parking. New Orleans is unbelievably expensive. Los Angeles food prices pale in comparison. The parking area of the hotel appeared to be safe enough. We were out all day and only came to the room to sleep at various hours of the night. I never felt unsafe. I did not use the balcony at all. It faced an older building in the rear of the prop. Terrica, the front desk attendant was ABSOULTELY wonderful. She went above and beyond of what her duties are. She was always very cheerful and welcoming. The IHop located literally next door was super convenient. If we did not feel like driving anywhere for breakfast we'd eat there. The maids were approachable, courteous and ready to help. The only issue I have with my stay is that I was assigned a room that was located way, way in the back of the prop. In retrospect, I guess it was ok but I noticed the prop. was not sold out at all. Finally, the prop. is due for an upgrade in their electronics outlets. A couple of the outlets in our room either, did not work or would not hold the device I wanted to plug in. In the age of USB charging stations common everywhere, this place does not have them. Despite my very few and small issues with the prop, I still enjoyed my stay.

Nice property, centrally located between the airport and downtown. Great staff that was welcoming. Safe location with free parking.

The Ramada is a good buy and it is conveniently located to all the venues that I need to visit. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I give it a definite thumbs up.

Easy to get to from the Superdome!

The property was kind of run down. The whole place was “tired”. The room smelled musty. It had rained hard, and the outside patio door leaked. About 3 feet into the room, the carpet was wet. The area was a little sketchy for my taste.

The hotel was good and very clean. The staff was nice and helpful. I love that the IHOP was 24/7 and the nightly rate was average. This was my second time staying in six years. I will definitely be back.

Good for a last minute one night stay. Quiet and safe with an IHop restaurant attached that is open 24 hrs

The water would not get hot for the shower. The electrical outlet in bathroom did not work. Low water pressure. No breakfast even tho the website stated there would be one. Odor of natural gas. Had trouble operating the TV. No easy access to the side doors.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was quiet and clean. There is no hotel breakfast the listing was incorrect about that, however there is s IHOP on site open 24hrs. Would stay here again.

No breakfast what so ever and the ihop attached has a severe attitude problem and high as all get out. Beds outdated years ago and you can here and feel the springs
