The property looks run down from outside, I think it may just need a little power washing on a regular basis to keep it looking better. The rooms inside was clean and renovated, not bad at all. It was worth what I paid for a night stay. The location is accessible to everything. I liked that the parking lot had a lot of lighting. I will definitely book again for a last minute trip.

The employees were great . Room was clean and updated . But the property could use some real repairs . Unsafe pool fence . At gate area . Steel stair step edging is a hazard that's probably the owners responsibility not the employees they were busy working hard .

I opened the door and saw a dead roach on the floor right by the door. I went to use the restroom only to find the toilet paper holder hanging out of the wall. The bathroom mirror is COVERED in white toothpaste specks. There was piles of hair in multiple places. And the people above us were slamming things around and yelling all night.

Avoid at all cost. The room we were assigned was filthy. Flys everywhere, tv didn’t work and no WiFi. The hangers were covered in so much rust it looked like dust. We were moved to another room which still had flies and gnats. Mold on the door frames and curtains…the floor felt like it was coated in something. Old blood around the toilet, mildew stained bed covers. There was stuff on the wall, still not sure what it was. Overall the absolute worst experience. Pay a little extra and book a different hotel.

Price for room was ok. A/c worked well, we were cold most nights. Room was relatively clean, however the shower and sink both had hair from previous guests left in/on them. Mold in corners of shower/walls of room. Mattress cover on both beds was dirty/stained.

We were less than 15 minutes away from the beaches in Galveston. Had plenty to do around us. The room was cozy for us, but we noticed stains on the sheets, towels were not too white like they've been pretty dirty, the floor was vinyl and we could tell it hadn't been swept and mopped so we didn't feel comfortable being barefoot in the room until we sanitized everything. We didn't notice a single bug even though our door wasn't sealed properly. Plenty of toiletries and towels. Everything else was great we had our own sheets and pillow covers and we slept good in the AC l never had any trouble with anything.

The AC doesn't cool and It's filthy. The overall condition of the room is horrible, especially the bathroom. I chose to not shower because the shower and bathroom is horrible. The baseboards are filthy and paint peeling off the walls. The main door doesn't seal all the way. The AC is absolutely disgusting. The lady at the front desk is nice though.

This motel was absolutely disgusting. The check in was fine but the room was gross. Large blood stains on the comforter, hair on toilet, dirty toilet, the table had not even been wiped off. We left immediately and found a new hotel. Do not stay here

Wow, u talk about a minimal aminity room?! There is a bed and a bathroom, and that is it! No closet, no coffee maker, no table and chair, no nothing! Lol Nice bed, nice shower, and a good price. If ur just looking for a place to sleep, itll do just fine. Oh, there is a pool, but its February.

We stayed at the hotel for about 8 hours. Just to sleep the night. Our room faced towards the highway which is right there. The door didn't have weatherstripping so we could see light through the door. We literally heard every car that went by. We might stay there again, but no way would we want the location where we stayed. We may try and find another option. Bonus: We were able to park our car during our cruise for free. That was a nice perk.

One mattress is right up against the AC unit which is loud and has to be cold in order for the rest of the room to be comfortable. Shower curtain is just a little short so water runs onto the bathroom floor. It’s right next to the highway so it’s loud but ear plugs did the trick.

This location has been updated so there is no carpet. Yay! But it goes downhill from there. There are trains right next to the property going by and honking the horn all night. My bad for not checking that. Then the air conditioning unit and the exhaust fan in the bathroom (not a separate switch from the light) sound like a jet engine when they are on. I couldn't get any hot water at the sink even though there was hot water in the shower. There are not any close dining options but that was not a big deal. Sleeping was the plan and we didn't get to do a lot of that.

Bathroom sink had hot water only. If you stay here try to get a room toward the rear of the motel. We got a room at the front with I-45 running in front of room. Very noisy. Other than that I would recommend.

The girl at the front desk was very accommodating. She told us we were too early for check-in, but we could go hang out by the pool until the first room was clean. The attendant let us know right away when our room was available. The room was average: just two beds, one was right up against the wall with the AC unit. AC kept us cool enough, but it still stayed very humid in the room. Bathroom was everything we needed, but no amenities whatsoever. Basically, the price was right for what we got. Just needed a place to sleep and shower for one night before our cruise. We probably would not choose this location again. I thought it was closer to shops, restaurants, or the cruise port. But it wasn't.

I didnt like after we paid online they didnt have the reservation from Expedia sent to them on time and the manager came banging on our door threatening to call the police! I had to pack up.everything and until she finally got it confirmed that we paid it already and then she didnt even apologize!

Pay a little extra go somewhere else or you will be double billed like I was. Got there and told payment didnt go thru which was bs. This was when i was checking in. What choice did I have but to pay again! Terrible situation to be put in. Told I got a refund for the 2nd charge that morning but was then charged again. HORRIBLE.

Check in was not good, could not find my reservation, had all my info with me, still took 30 minutes to check in. Was assigned a room onnthe 2nd floor at the back of the complex, even though the motel was not even at half filled capacity. Room was dirty, linens were stained, air/heat unit was dirty and had mold in it. I have tried to upload pictures, but site won't let me.

When I called ahead of time and asked if I could do early check in since I was in town for the convention, the manager was very rude to me and said no, absolutely not, under no circumstances. He told me there was a $50 deposit even though that was not listed on the website. I told him I had a service dog and he still told me there was a fee. When I checked in, the front desk person was very polite, did not charge a deposit and did not charge a pet fee for my service dog. He even recommended other hotels that are closer to the seawall for sightseeing. He was very complimentary of my dog and even gave me another promo code for another hotel on the island that was pet friendly. He also apologized for his manager because his manager did not follow the American Disabilities Act.

Room overall was clean but the mattress cover was stained. Holes in bedspread. Bathroom door had a hole repaired by what appears to be a 4 year old. Entry door did not close flush and had large gap. The motel is in an industrial area with a lumber yard next door so it can get noisy with saw and train noise. Motel 6 stays can be a hit or miss but for an overnite stay it was ok.

For the cost this place was perfect. Very clean, no bells and whistles but all we needed wiring for our cruise. Very comfortable and clean space.

The Motel 6 Galveston, TX was a nice place to spend the night. There are not a lot of frills, but that is not needed for just a convent one or two nights stay. As well, I noticed a few maintenance issues on the exterior, but the the next morning someone was addressing them. In addition, there are many dining options near by, along with the beach. You cannot beat the price, and its location was great for access to island.

Don’t believe the reviews. This place was nowhere near the conditions of the reviews First of all; it’s in an industrial area nowhere near the tourist attractions. We got there at 4 and our room was only halfway ready. The new one had a dirty bathroom. The room was very small with limited outlets. We asked for a refund and went somewhere else

Terrible called the hotel I be a late arrival waited 20 minute at the the desk till some one finally arrived. Sheets and blanket had cigarette burns in them, no place to hang clothes, no place to hang wet towels, no toilet paper holder. No mention of the place being redone. Woke up to sounds of loud machine in next room workers working in them. Coffee horrible, will not be returning to this place again

I'm just done with staying at Motel-6's. They are the same everywhere. No breakfast. No coffee. Bugs in the room. If you don't have a car to drive downtown, you're screwed. Only thing good was front desk people were very friendly.

The room didn't have a coffee pot or refrigerator or anything to make me wanta stay there again. They offered coffee in the area that you check in at, but never unlock the door. Staying in a hotel is having coffee in my room.

The location of the hotel is great, it’s right at the entrance of the island and is minutes away from the beach and local attractions. The check in was smooth and easy, the attendants were efficient and quick. The price per night was fair, compared to what the surrounding hotels were quoting. No breakfast options were available, which is understandable considering that it is a drive by hotel. The room is big enough for what is intended for, an overnight stay. Room was clen mostly. Nice furniture. No lamps. few receptacles, with none near the bed. So don't plan to charge your phone on your nightstand unless you have a power bank. I was there for 9 days. They chnaged towels after a week. There is no coffee maker, microwave, or cooler in the room. There is a coffee machine at the check in desk, but it wasn't accessible until after 7 am. That was tough because I left for work befre 7am. The location is convenient, and the price is great compared to other locations, so the lack of amenities gets you the cheaper price. Just know that. I would stay again if I wanted a cheaper place to stay than most others.

I stayed a night before going on a cruise. I normally do not go to a motel because I like nicer amenities and enjoy breakfast. This place does not have breakfast and most places you have to drive to get to in Galveston. The prices are high in Galveston on the weekends during this time of year and this was the cheapest place. The main reason I stayed is because they offered free cruise parking for the duration of the time you are gone. That is a big benefit and I may come back again, in the future, because of this reason. Most hotels charge you to leave your vehicle there. As long as you stay one night you get the benefit. I liked the staff; however, I would come back to this place just for the free cruise parking benefit.
