Nice staff, clean room, privacy is respected. It was interesting parking was fenced off needing card key access but it made sense allowing all tenants to have a spot as parking was limited. Some nice options to eat in the area and freeway access was about a blocks distance away.

I really liked that you need to have a room keycard to enter the parking lot, made me feel much safe about my vehicle.

The staff were all polite and the managers at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful with anything i needed. Great price for the area, it's kind of hidden behind Denny's but visible from the freeway. Compared to other budget Motels its nice and quiet and secure.

It was a nice size room with a comfortable bed. There were plenty of USB & electrical ports around the room plus a small refrigerator. The fan in the bathroom did not work and it could have used a small microwave and clock. Parking was fenced from the public and limited. It was a good stay considering the 100 degree plus temps, but the AC did work well!

They have the property gated.

This is my second time staying on this property and I had a good experience for the price. Big plus is one needs a hotel key to access the parking lot.

Typical motel, good for short stay. Beds and bathroom are clean, floor could be cleaner. Unfortunately there was no shampoo, just soap bar, so plan accordingly. I had a room close to the entrance and unfortunately some guests were loud at night and walking in and out through the gate which is very loud, they could add some cushion to the gate. Area is not great, but it's close to the place I needed to be. There are some nice dining options around.

Key issue, mold smell in room 234 and cockroaches, smelled like smoke. Dog poop all over, no bags in unit for dog poop bags. My original room room 132 the air wasn't working properly. Dods not on leashes. Some staff friendly and nice. Others not so much

I have bedbugs in my bed and they bit me so bad they change my room but still ruined my stay

This is what my son in law found when they pulled back the blanket on the bed. You can see clearly there is crumbs and hair. The door handle was disgusting also, as was the bathroom. They tried to check out within 10 minutes and the front desk wouldn't allow them to. This is not a hotel that Hotels.com should be advertising!!

The pool was working. The towels were fluffy. The bed was comfortable. However, it had bedbugs and cockroaches. The floor was filthy. I caught the bedbugs and put them in a bag. I showed the bedbugs to the manager. She denied that those bedbugs and that she had a certification explaining she was bedbug free and she got angry at me and said that I was The one that was angry.

I had a great stay at this motel! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and made check-in and check-out quick and easy. I really appreciated the quiet atmosphere—it was perfect for a relaxing night after a long day. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shops. Overall, a pleasant experience and great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again!

Easy check in and very clean room

Overall, can’t complain too much. Entering the facility, the staff was kind and helpful. Entering my room though, was a different story. There was stains on the bed and I had to request a different room. Then the room I was moved to, the sheets were stained again. I then went down to ask for more sheets and the sheets I received had a hole in it. Also the bed itself had a massive stain and it looked like dried blood. I am not sure if thats what it was but it looked like it. Following all that though, it was a decent experience. Everything else was satisfactory other than the bed.

Smelly, dirty, gross, cheap looking yet expensive for the room. I wish I could get a refund for it. Cuz I did not stay there. 20 minutes was the longest and I checked out that night

Room #141 was the worst room I've ever stayed in. The floors were scratched horribly. The handle on the sink faucet was very loose. The bathroom had standing water pooled when we arrived. The beds had very old sheets and no comforter. The shower rod wasn't fastened. The bathroom door was screwed and patched to repair damage that required replacement. The door stuck opening and closing. The room stunk. I was charged an extra $25 at check in because I had 3 people staying in a two bed room I booked online. Hotels.com didn't ask how many were in my party. So my 'single occupant rate' advertised on line wasn't what I actually paid. Rooms behind gate and lobby was locked and behind glass. Rough area and right on freeway. Service was excellent though in lobby and same friendly lady who checked me in was there in the morning when I checked out.

This location was cozy and safe. The room was clean and I had all the amenities needed for my stay! The staff was very friendly!

This motel 6 was rough. The room appeared like it had endured a lot, including large patched holes in the walls. The location is in a bad part of town, it’s gated which made it feel a little safer. Also, you are right by the freeway so it’s a bit noisy.

It was very nice of the staff to let me know that all rooms with double beds faced the highway, and it was also nice of the staff to ask if I had a preference for having a room on the first or second floor. It would have been good to also let me know whether the noise levels on the first and second floors were different. I didn't share a preference for the first or second floor, and I was given a room on the second floor. The highway noise ended up being extremely loud and kept me and my daughter up for most of the night — particularly not good for me because I was in Sacramento for the marathon and really wanted a good night’s sleep. My husband thinks that it might've been better to have a room on the first floor because the fence would have blocked the noise, though it’s hard to know for sure since we would been exposed to more foot traffic too. In terms of cleanliness, the room was great with the exception of the flush buttons on the toilet. Not a fun job, but those could use some cleaning. I am glad that there weren’t mini shampoo and conditioner bottles as those are not eco friendly at all, but it would having the refillable economy size ones on the wall for use would have been nice. The room was a bit small for 2 double beds, but I think the price point reflected it. LTDR: biggest issue was the highway noise, but the room itself was nice (albeit small) and very clean for the most part.

If you're looking for a ritzy room, this is not for you. If you're okay with basic, clean and affordable room, this is a good choice. Nothing fancy, but was just what I needed. I guess because the building is a little old, there seemed to be an odd smell. A quick spray of cologne easily masked it.

The property was very clean, we checked thoroughly and saw no bugs or any other things to be concerned about. The parking lot is gated and our car was safe. The rooms were very noisy, we were about 50ft from the freeway, and the other tenants were loud, playing music at 2 in the morning. The beds were 6inch mattresses and very hard.

The room was fine. The freeway noise was bad.

The bed are extremely uncomfortable. The wifi is iffy at best. The homeless around the corner was an unsightly seen.

Everything was okay! Not a horrible place! Bed mattress was awful very warn out. You can feel the wire in the bed! The ac in our room was not cooling. Staff is nice

The place was great, however, the bed's mattress was a little lumpy and there was a definite sag on the left side of the bed near the middle.

The young lady at the front desk was very friendly, professional and polite. She even called the room after id been there for about 20 minutes to make sure everything was good.

Was told when I arrived after 12 hours of driving I needed to pay $100 deposit that was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process. Rude staff, would not recommend this location

The head of housekeeping and the front desk lady stole my deposit from $100 that I gave ‘em at the time of check-in. The 1 night deposit was supposed too be $50 only, but they decided to keep the $. I’ll file a complaint to the Motel 6 corporate office about this

Great service,very accommodating

Customer service was on point. Requested a blanket when we arrived and the night clerk brought one to me. He called the room right after check in to see if i needed anything. Really appreciate that the grounds were gated to keep the undesirables out.

Can customer service or Motel 6 please call me. Horrible experience all around, checked in after 8pm last night didn’t notice a few things til this morning - tried to show front desk photos after discovering and the woman wouldn’t let me speak, wouldn’t give me a receipt and then refused to give me a name and then ignored me and played the silent game when I insisted on her name to the point I had to film her to capture what she was doing to me and get her identity to report to corporate. Absolute horrific experience

I thought I was reserving a Motel 6 I had stayed at before that I had a decent experience with, but I guess I reserved the *other* North Sacramento Motel 6. Big mistake. Its literally surrounded by a Boomers, so you'll hear loads of people playing mini golf, go karting, and swimming in a pool until 10 pm. And then after that, you get to listen to the sweet sounds of the wide-out-in-the-open homeless encampment that is on the lawn right outside of the Motel 6. I guess that's why they have the entire parking lot for the Motel surrounded by a big gate, which helps a little with peace of mind. My room was pretty much Motel 6 standard -- they told me its a "No Smoking" room at check-in, but right when I walked in it wreaked of cigarette smell. Then I noticed the only chair had gum stuck to the top of it, right where you sit. I also found a hair on the toilet seat, and what seemed like tar on the desk. Seems very likely the previous guest probably was rolling cigars on the desk leaving tar there, and the cleaning crew doesn't even bother to clean that surface at all. Definitely will be avoiding this Motel 6 like the plague next time I'm in Sac.

Very nice place with gated entry. Newer rooms, no ciggerette smoke smells. They are very strict about smoking in a non smoking room? I do not like the smell of cigg. They don't pound on the doors before check out time thats important to me when sleeping who needs to ne stressed out when checking out? Dennys is next door. Scandia too. Target, in and out burger on the same street. This location is the choice for anyone visiting Sacramento. 1 mile on the freeway takes you anywhere you need to be In sacramento and the other direction Roseville. All other motel 6s are more isolated if you like that and not gated. Only your room key can get in through the gate and your car is safe and nobody else comes in walking unless you have the room key. Thats my experience and you might get a discount the next time you stay if you dont smoke in the room and dont trash the place. Very nice family runs the place. The value of this location with Scandia & Denny's with a 30 second walking distance and the two split sections (they have 1/2 of the rooms in a building closer to scandia the other on the other side of Dennys). A lot less being crammed up with every one in one building and parking lot. What a unique place. These nice people deserve to own this choice location. Respect the rules about smoking. Please dont ruin it for the rest of us, I plan on returning here. I forgot their free paid movie channels. I told my wife I would stay for a week if I ever get more time off from work. 10 star

I have never stayed in a hotel with so much security. The entire property was fenced in, and all who entered had to show id. Although it should be reassuring, it made us question have safe we were walking to nearby restaurants. Right off the interstate so you can hear traffic all night. Floors were dirty and in need of a good mopping. Bed was memory foam, which for us was uncomfortable. Towels were grey and looked dirty. There was heavy cat pee smell coming from room next door. A wrecked car parked in the back lot. Laundry hanging on railing of 2nd floor. Long term renters? Part homeless shelter? It's Motel 6, and you get what you pay for, but this is not the same quality i grew up knowing Motel 6 had. Goodbye Motel 6.

Good location next to the freeway but very noisy. My room was fairly clean which I appreciated. There were sketchy people around but I stayed aware of my surroundings and I have a wedge for my hotel door to stay shut. I did like the price, the area along the road where I could park my truck and 16ft trailer and Denny's was right next door.

The place was to food and gas. It was gated for security. The air-conditioned was a struggle though but overall it close to almost everything you needed

this motel have very kind and good helping staff. and there is very nice chinese /mongolian bbq restaurante oposite motel 6. must try.

This place is good. I stay here about 4 times a month. Hot water and good water pressure in bathroom. next to motel 6 is Dennys and starbucks and couple of good restaurant. The freeway and scandia can be noisy but that's not their fault. They always have a security guard on the property. The front desk and housekeeping staff was very kind.
