The hotel is under some construction, so their reception area is in the restaurant which you have to walk through to get to your room so not the hotel‘s fault because they are doing renos but was kind of odd. The property hotel is clean in the rooms, nothing special just a bed. Be aware the bathroom tub shower combination because it was very slippery and my husband fell. It is a fabulous spot for walking right by las Romblas street , which is also under construction.

Det var ikke sånn som bildet viste, ingen resepsjon, ingen frokost og rommet var ikke sånn som på bilde. Lite og et dårlig kleskap! Vi måtte gå gjennom en restaurant for å komme inn og der var et skrivebord hvor det satt en mann for hotellet. Dette hotellet anbefales ikke!

Hotel Condal is the perfect location for a long weekend stay. Literally in the centre of the old town Barcelona, 2 mins walk to the metro and La Rambla. Helpful staff at reception. Having some work done so will probably be even better once that is completed. Would go again for sure. Date: Aug 25

I booked this hotel because of locaion and it is centrally located. However, be aware that some transportation do not stop at the hotel front door. It is located on a narrow side street off Ramblas. In the early hour or late at night, small cars or taxi could come to the front. But, I booked a shared transfer from the airport and the driver of the van refused to come into Ramblas. There is nothing wrong with the hotel but you must confirm with the transfer company if they would drop off on Ramblas which is only 100 feet away. The room is small but has everything I need. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English.

This 50 room hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation. The first night we had a room with a broken toilet. The reception was very kind and upgraded us to one of only two rooms where the renovation was completed. What a difference!! The new rooms are VERY nice and have been renovated with grate taste and an eye on details. The location, the staff and the new rooms are highly recommended.

Bad hotel, stay away. The walls were so thin that I could the guy in the next room talking until 0100. The room was old and dirty and needed a wash. The reception demanded that I pay in advance otherwise I would loose the room and I did. The safe did not work and the sink was clogged and etc.

great location , staff is friendly , room is clean . But nothing in bedroom except bed . No fridge , no cofemaker even though NO ANY GLASS or cup for drinking water( this is 3 stars hotel and we paid $130/ night) . Room is clean but pillows smell old and bad . Overall : good!

The location is great but rooms are absolutely tiny, not even space to open up a suitcase. So the place is great if you are only planning to sleep there and spend tour time out and about. Spending time in the room is uncomfortable due to the room sizes.

Payed a lot of money to stay at a hotel and was completely dissapointed. I got to the hotel and the AC wasnt working properly. Then found out the beds were two twin beds made into one using sheets to connect them. I was sleeping next to the "cleaning office" where the cleaning ladies were loud all morning long. They should be mindful of the people sleeping at 7-8 am. Throughout my stay , water was dripping from the bathroom ceiling. I was scared given the water was falling very close to the electric output where the hair blower was connected. The only good thing about this hotel are the front desk people who were very nice. Other hotels probably seemed like better options for the money. Never stayin here again.

The staff was SO NICE. They gave me a big beautiful room. And of course it’s old inside the hallways but that’s to be expected with staying in the Gothic. The bed was comfortable and clean, they let me stay an extra hour when I was supossed to check out and held my luggage. Overall I will be back and am very happy I picked this spot. The area is super touristy but it’s perfect if you are new to vacationing here.

Hotel Condal is the perfect location for a long weekend stay. Literally in the centre of the old town Barcelona, 2 mins walk to the metro and La Rambla. Helpful staff at reception. Having some work done so will probably be even better once that is completed. Would go again for sure. Date: Aug 25

I booked this hotel because of locaion and it is centrally located. However, be aware that some transportation do not stop at the hotel front door. It is located on a narrow side street off Ramblas. In the early hour or late at night, small cars or taxi could come to the front. But, I booked a shared transfer from the airport and the driver of the van refused to come into Ramblas. There is nothing wrong with the hotel but you must confirm with the transfer company if they would drop off on Ramblas which is only 100 feet away. The room is small but has everything I need. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English.

Det var ikke sånn som bildet viste, ingen resepsjon, ingen frokost og rommet var ikke sånn som på bilde. Lite og et dårlig kleskap! Vi måtte gå gjennom en restaurant for å komme inn og der var et skrivebord hvor det satt en mann for hotellet. Dette hotellet anbefales ikke!

Hotel muy bonito y con una ubicación excelente, a pocos pasos de Las Ramblas y en una calle muy concurrida y con bastante movimiento. La cama, en cambio, era súper cómoda y el baño sorprendentemente amplio y espacioso. La atención del personal fue uno de los puntos más positivos de la estancia. Tony, en recepción, nos recibió de manera excepcional, muy amable y atento. El personal del restaurante también fue muy agradable, especialmente la chica argentina, que nos atendió muy bien. El desayuno es a la carta y de muy buena calidad. En particular, el cocinero prepara unos huevos revueltos espectaculares. Como aspecto a mejorar, el servicio puede demorarse y el horario del desayuno, de 8:30 a 10:30, resulta bastante limitado para quienes tienen que salir temprano al aeropuerto o realizar algún tour. Al ser a la carta, esa espera puede complicarlo todavía más. La habitación no dispone de plancha, aunque se puede solicitar fácilmente en recepción. Tampoco hay té ni café en la habitación, algo que sería un buen detalle añadir. We loved the hotel. This hotel is in the gothic quarter. If you want to truly experience Barcelona, this is the place to be. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. I was coming in the one day with my hands full and he jumped up to get the door for me. If you need a taxi to the airport, book it with the front desk the day before. They arranged for the driver to come to the hotel and help with the luggage as they can’t drive in the quarter.
