MainStay Suites Rochester South Mayo Clinic

The only good part about this stay was the front desk guy who checked us in quickly and efficiently when we got in around 10.30pm. He was friendly and seemed to care a lot about making sure everyone had what they needed because it was busy! I felt bad that he was by himself but he definitely did the job of two people. Otherwise, in our room the sheets on one of the beds was not clean (you could see brown stains), the table areas needed a good wipe, and the bathroom tub was hairy and gross!! When I closed the door to take a shower, there was a BOOGER smeared on the door. Free breakfast? I mean, I wasn’t expecting a huge spread or anything but the juice had a weird film on the top, the syrup was almost gone (I got down there about 6;30am), the coffee machine looked like it needed a deep clean, and overall the options were minimal at best. Yeesh.

The room was very nice and clean. Our AC units didnt work but we didnt mind much, we had a cute little kitchette with a dishwater, small sink, microwave, and a fridge and freezer. Honestly would stay here again. There was remodeling going on at the time of our stay but we didnt mind one bit. The staff was helpful and nice. Parking was convenient and there was plenty of spaces. We didnt have breakfast but they did offer. We loved our stay and hope to be back next year.

Staff was excellent but the hotel was under renovation. No microwave in my room. The ice machine was broken. I had to ask for many things that should have been in the room.

The hotel is currently being remod3led. The beds were decent and clean. The walls are thin and all the doors slam. They have kitchenettes with no dishes. And there was a cigarette smell coming through our bathroom vent.
