Excellent Customer Service From ALL the Staff! Rooms Very Clean Pool was nice and clean as well.

The pool was closed and this is the second time I booked a hotel through Expedia where the pool is being marketed as a feature, but is not available for use. I find it shameful that between the hotel or motel and Expedia can’t manage this feature accurately, which is misleading marketing on a continuous basis.

Chech in and out was good. Room was as described and very quiet. We got an excellent price. Floors could have been cleaner and pillows could have been more comfortable. Room was pretty tiny for two people. Sad pool was not open!

When I got there, I was told I have to pay a parking fee to park on the property or park across the street. This is actually price gouging. How annoying!

The pool wasnt heated and the hot tub doesnt have powerful jets. It was a relatively cheap price and it didnt feel dirty, just a little dated and old but clean and comfortable

What I did not like was paying for parking when it should automatically be a given ! To park on the property you’re paying to stay a room in. Doesn’t make any sense to me. I get they’re by a mall but they’re are better ways to fix this parking issue!!!

Good old Motel 6! Pet friendly and basic. Location can’t be beat, right next to Fashion mall, minutes to zoo, botanical garden, Frank Lloyd Wright house. Has a pool that would be the envy of a Hilton. No carpets on floor, yay! No perfume soaked linens. Room very clean. Grounds clean, well marked corner for pet pooping. Front desk very accommodating. Remember- it is a Motel 6, no fridge, no coffeemaker, no microwave. Neighbors can be, and were, very very noisy.

The pancake restaurant next door

Professional and friendly service, the lady at the reception is wonderful. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning. We spent only one night passing through, but we also managed to use the pool and jacuzzi. The location is right next to the old town where it is worth going for a walk. In the morning they invite you for free coffee ☕️

Hairs still in bathroom. Floor with dirt stock to it. Dog area rocks and glass. Not worth $110

Room was so so clean. The floor was filthy but looked clean. Only when we wiped up a spill did we see how filthy it was.

Great location, clean room and very reasonably priced

My room had hardwood floors and nothing was touching on the ground. The housekeeping kept a very good job and sweeping the floor. It was a clean room at a very decent price.

Clean and comfortable

It says "non-smoking" room on the amenities description, and there is a small "non-smoking room" badge nera tv inside, however, it smells like tobacco. Maybe it is not smoking room now, however, the bad smell is embedded in the walls. I kept the window open the whole day and it didn\'t help much.

One word sums it up: bedbugs. I was not the only guest who had seen them either. While checking in, a different guest was getting a refund for finding them in her room. I hope it was an isolated event so I still checked in. I shouldn’t have. Found one in my shirt after I took it off and it was on the bed. I picked it up later in the evening and one fell out and ran. Another I found in the sheets. Wish I would have been thinking of it, I would have tried to be faster to take a photo. Also, the late night older woman working the window was incredibly racist. She was incredibly rude to both the three people in front of me, all people of color. I got to the window (a white male), and she’s all smiles and incredibly nice and polite. What a shame. If you’re reading this ma’am, you should be embarrassed.

Not 2025 up to date but clean, professional and fresh paint on the walls. No disturbances. Although no breakfast included, great complimentary coffee. Would consider staying again!

Had to change rooms bc internet not working on one side of the property. If you stay and want good internet, get a room on second level close to office

The hotel was a basic room and could have had more amenities. The hot tub wasn’t working but the pool was. The ice machine was conveniently located. The room was a little small and basic. If you want a room that’s affordable in the moderately priced Scottsdale then this is the place for you.

Motel 6 Old Town Scottsdale is an okay stay if you’re looking for something budget-friendly and conveniently located. The cost is definitely a plus, especially for short-term needs, and I chose this location because it’s close to both my children’s activities and my work. That said, I’ve had a few unfortunate and uncomfortable experiences with certain staff during my stay. While I won’t elaborate, there’s a noticeable difference in how customer service is extended to different guests. Because of this, I choose to keep interactions minimal and only engage when absolutely necessary. The Wi-Fi is not ideal for heavy work loads, so if you’re working remotely and need strong connectivity, this may not be the best fit. Also, the cleaning schedule (every other day) can be a bit inconvenient when working variable hours. I recommend it for short stays where affordability and location are priorities, but I’d suggest managing expectations when it comes to service and amenities.

The person who checked us in was less than friendly. Although clean, the room was very small and a little more rundown than I had been led to believe. Despite having been reserved for three adults, there were not enough towels. It was very difficult to get more as there were always people waiting for service when I went to the office. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet.

The a/c was noisy, there were noises coming from the light fixture above the sink and the beds squeaked, including the occupant's bed in the room above mine. Property condition was average. The room needed a repairs to the toilet paper holder, the bathroom door, the light fixture above the sink and the bed frames.

The AC in unit 130 isn't working properly was hot tossing and turning the whole night other than that everything else was good clean room like always.

The best part of this hotel is the location. Lynn at the front desk is as super helpful. The room was just ok for the money. The bed was the worst. Hard and I could feel the springs. The air conditioner makes noise all night, long. Shower had great water pressure, the room has a refrigerator and a microwave, which is nice. Decent TV. Overall, if you can stand the bed and the sound of the AC, the hotel is a fine place to stay for a night or two.

If you’re on the bottom floor, you’re likely going to hear the people above you. The first night the people above me were VERY loud, and disrupted my sleep. If it continued, I would have alerted management. But for the remainder of my stay the noise was bearable with my sleephones. Very clean, climate control worked very well and quietly. Fridge worked great. I would definitely stay here again if I took another cost-conscious visit to Phoenix/Scottsdale.

Good price for the location. Lacking what may now be considered standard amenities (fridge, microwave) but that was okay for the price. Pool was closed which was a bigger deal as I was planning on the pool being available. Hotel receptionist, although quite competent, was not very friendly.

It was just ok. The bathtub was very slick and no hand rails. Very dangerous getting in and out.

The older blonde woman that checked me in could use a refresher on the true meaning of customer service. Having spent over a decade in the Las Vegas Hospitality Industry, we are fully groomed to reflect the company’s customer service ideals. She was quite brash when asked about the registering of all guests. Pretty snide quips and personal remarks based on a question alone. Then when it came to explaining the location of the room, she showed a darkly printed map, not explaining features such as vending, enjoying the pool and spa, etc. Yes it’s Motel 6, but it’s also situated in the midst of Old Town Scottsdale. Updating the rooms to reflect modern needs and conveniences might also help. Our room’s ac was heavily used to the point that although you could read the temperature, it was a gamble on if you selected heat or cooling. Not to mention the bathtub mixing valve has a constant heavy drip and the sink faucet has hot water only, no cold. We brought our own toiletries, but the simple shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were not offered. Most people could comment with, “It’s Motel 6, what did you expect?” Value for the dollar.

Wow! What a difference a day makes! After last night's awful check-in, I thought about leaving, but im lazy...Today's check-in was incredible! She could not have been anymore sweet, nice, fun, and normal! Go when she is on, and all is well here!

When I first checked in the desk clerk was obnoxious and rude She stated that she needs to see everyone's Id or else we could get evicted and lose our money Theo other member of my party was at work at the moment and not available to present ID I specifically made the reservation for two adults. There was nothing hidden We were also charged a $10 fee to park the car

The check in was horrendous. The woman at check in sneered at me . This was the most rude and unacceptable behavior I have ever experienced. Told me the pool was closed. I said “I wish I knew that”… she said…”well now you know” I changed my booking to stay at another property. Never again. This person needs to be fired and this property needs an overhaul in every way.

The night check in window is creepy. The person at the desk was not welcoming. Felt like she was accusing me of hiding an additional guest or pet. Was surprised I was charge a parking fee! I have never been charged to park at a hotel. The room doesn’t even have a blow dryer!

Once again great staff, easy check in, quick and painless. Always appreciated.

The woman in the front office was very sweet and helpful. I have no doubt that the stay will be pleasant.

Leslie and Dion are the best they have excellent customer service and always friendly. They answer my questions and help me when needed. The housekeepers do an excellent job on keeping the rooms nice and clean. No complaints, I will continue to come back.

Really convenient location, easy parking, pool, small modest rooms. There is an amazing pancake restaurant right in the parking lot that's open for breakfast hours. Walking distance to fashion square.

Keeping in mind that it’s a motel not a 5 star hotel: Room was very clean. Housekeeping friendly. There’s a breakfast restaurant next to it. Pool is nice. Plenty of parking.

Fantastic and right by Fashion Show Mall and it’s pretty and has a great breakfast restaurant with excellent lattes. The staff’s amazing and the pool is beautiful.

My stay was very good. I did book a premium room. The premium room is worth the extra few dollars. It is a shame that they now charge an extra fee for parking. $10.00 EVEN IF YOU HAVE FAMILY THAT VISITS ONLY FOR A FEW MIN,That just seems like gouging since there is ample space for parking. There is a rule if anyone comes to visit you in your room you have to have them show the front desk their ID and register them. Why?at better motels they do not do this.maybe if this motel would like to improve they might alter this rule? And the parking fee The pancake house that was right next to the motel was very good but very expensive. I had two eggs bacon coffee juice and three pancakes and the bill just for me was over $32.00. All in all a good experience at this motel. I have been a local customer to staycation here since the 80s and its always a good choice its just a shame that they have to price gouge on the little things, I was told an early check in at 1:45 would cost an extra $20.00. If the room is clean and available why not please your customer? I was told by the Motel customer service survey people that called me, that they charge this fee bc its a computer issue that they can not ckeck you in early do to the computer check in system. That is bull because the front desk girl was very sweet and did a one time fee waive for me.
