Quality Inn & Suites Malvern

Elevator worked part time. First night extremely strong smell of cannabis. Breakfast was lacking. No eggs,bacon, sausage. For hot breakfast you got biscuit or waffle. Not enough seating for breakfast. Room cleaning was not done at all. Just dropped off towels.

Was a musty smell to the property from the time you walked into the lobby. Was put in a handicap accessible room when that is not what I wanted and was told they could not change my room due to the fact I booked it through Expedia. Pool was out of order. Soda vending machine was not working. They were good about letting you know about the non functioning items there. They had placed signs on them. Maintenance of the facility is not what it should be. There was a frozen beverage in the fridge freezer that had expired in 2022. Will never stay there again.

Poor lighting in the parking area

Clean rooms, friendly. Don’t know what’s going on with TV, keeps disconnecting and needs to be reset went through the front desk she came up once was helpful but TV keeps needing to be reset over and over again within a just a short amount of time. Unfortunate the pool is down was told it would be up tomorrow, but we’re just passing through.

Price was competitive, but water was shut off part of the day and then dirty after. Coffee pot had a piece missing, and carpet was un vacuumed.

The lady checking us in was elderly and took forever couldnt find anything and complained about property and expedia. The bed sheets had black hair! The hot water was gone completley they did not tell us at all. The hot water broke had broke so no showers! The pool was completly empty because of the dirt , leaves and flower dropping from trees .

Rear card-access door broken, holes in drywall in our room, bathroom door barely latched. I guess it's Ok for <$80. Coffee was great though!

We found a Beatle in our room, there was no vent in the bathroom so we had to shower with the door open, they ran out of towels so we had to use towels from the pool our second night, and the pool was green.

HUGE security failure - side door does not close, let alone lock! Needs updating. Missing paint, rusty door frames, peeling wallpaper, very little insulation between rooms and top and bottom floors, breakfast offerings minimal. Not worth the $88.

First room had mold (and a big bathtub in the room on side of the bed that didn’t work) so I was moved to the second room where the tv didn’t work- Vicki was great and tried to help but couldn’t fix it so I was moved to the third room which was finally good. Also several things didn’t work. Pool was down - soda machine down. The second floor also was very warm in the hallway and had a weird smell. Vicki is awesome and so very helpful!

I made reservations online several weeks ahead of time for a room with double queen beds. When I got there, they had us in a single king bed which with 4 people is a huge no. The nice lady at the desk, which is the only reason I bumped this review up a star, got us switched and sent us up to the third floor. That floor was being painted so it was an instant headache, and the a/c in the room did not work. It was about 90 degrees in there. So we went back down and told her we couldn’t stay in there. So she moved us to another room on the second floor. The smell was better and the a/c was fine, but I would say a quarter of the floor was soaking wet, I guess from the a/c unit. We had to lay down towels so we didn’t get our feet wet. There was mold in the pictures on the wall, which I have pictures of. It was also in the corners where the vacuum didn’t reach. We made the best of it but it was pretty bad. The pool was nice though.

It was dirty! No air in the stairwell or the elevator. AC in room barely worked and smelled musty. Would not recommend!

Our room was very dirty. The curtains had dark stains on them, and there were peanuts in the floor. The microwave and the refrigerator were dirty. There was a used teabag left in the coffee maker, and the ice bucket was also dirty. We were given a handicapped room, even though we did not ask for that, and there was no way to clip the shower wand up on the wall. When I asked at the front desk, if there was something that they could do to clip the shower wand up, I was told probably not. I ended up going to the dollar tree next-door and buying rubber bands and tied it up myself. The bathroom sink was also falling apart.

It was pretty clean and overall good experience for the price. Didn't really like the bathroom but overall good experience.

Bed is not clean

Checking in, heard all about the employee’s problems, bathroom floor had hair all in it, found red hair on my sort in the morning after waking up, tub was clogged, towel looked as if someone had changed oil in their truck and wiped their hands on it, bench had gross stains all over it. Beware!!

The hotel smells like mold and smoke. We had lots of mold in our room. Looked like water damage in the wall and the pictures even had mold in them. No vent fan in the bathroom and there were light bulbs that were out. The coffee bags in our room were already opened and we had to go get new ones. Would not recommend staying here!

First off the people at the front desk were very friendly. As we walked in the room first glance was great, it looked nice and smelled nice but we soon found out that looks can be deceiving. The air barely worked and it wouldnt get below 78 in the room the entire stay. The carpet under the air conditioner was squishy wet! I had to sleep at the foot of the bed so i could feel some air from the vents! My daughter went to shower and the removable shower head was hanging down and you couldnt hang it up because the place were its supposed to hang from was broken, so we had to purchase a zip tye from the nearby dollar tree to rig it to stay up. We told the front desk but nothing was done about it. My daughter then tried to blow dry her hair and the blow dryer didnt work but luckily the front desk had one to borrow. There was no shampoo in the in the shower dispenser. When we went to bed the sheets and pillow cases were stained! The swimming pool would have been nice but it was full of the flower booms from an over hanging tree! I would not reccomend this place. At the least we should have been offered a new room!

But most of all we met the rudest woman we have ever met in customer service last night. Whenever I went to the counter and told her my concerns less than 20 minutes after being there, she immediately said well that can’t be us because we bleach everything. To which I replied well it is and is there any other rooms that we can get?. She ended up giving me another room but said I’m going to have to come up there and check this out myself. When she arrived at the room, she looked at my wife and said let me see the supposed concerns. To which my wife replied, OK and showed her the stain which she said that she could not see, but we have pictures of, then we showed her another stain, which was red on the bed frame itself, and she said it was bleach. I have never seen red bleach in my whole entire life. But whatever. Showed her the floor and the dirt on the floor, so she commits to rubbing her foot on the floor and saying that’s coming right up that was not us. And then I told her about the smoke alarm and she said well people must be smoking in this room and we did not know it. They do that. She said she usually has to take a picture for her manager to show them, but there is no problems but she hopes we enjoy the next room. So we get up to the new room and it is much better except for the cockroach in the bathroom.

The room smelled terrible. The bathroom door opened outward and we were warned that it could potentially block access to the room if left opened. The smoke alarm was missing from the wall mount.

The AC didn't work very well. Furniture was worn. Towels didn't smell fresh.

The room climate was fine, but I was not satisfied with the room’s condition. The sink was cracked, and the smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector was hanging from the wall with exposed wires. The breakfast options were limited, and the orange juice was watered down and didn’t taste like real orange juice. However, the customer service was great, staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

We liked the comfortable beds, everything was very clean, and it smelled nice when we walked into the room. The only downs we experienced was that the breakfast was so-so/decent/ok, and there was a large gap under the room door that allowed all the noise from the hall in, and decreased our privacy. We stuffed the extra hand towels, and washcloths we didn't need into the gap, and that helped. The best thing was the super friendly, and helpful staff! For the price, we felt this Quality Inn provided all we really needed, and we wouldn't mind staying here again in the future. Thank you!

It smells super musty when you walk in. They don't seem to have the air on in the hallways. They're painting which has a smell and the room is a littly musty smelling too.

The stay was good, the main problem was with the deterioration of the door to the bathroom in the room. The bathroom door was warped so it did not close or latch properly. I went downstairs with the delipidated valet cart and when I got back to my room, I was able to unlock the main door but it would only open about an inch since the bathroom door opened against the main door so the main door would not open. Kim, the young lady at the desk was trying to keep up but she could not leave the check-in desk as she was having a constant flow of guests checking in and the POS was not working correctly.

The room and breakfast were fine, but the bed was terrible. I woke up sore and stiff each morning. Maybe it was too soft for me.

Put A/C didn’t get our room cooled off at all. That is our only complaint, other than that everything else was good!

TV kept bringing up error messages displaying Welcome window on top of original programs every 10 minutes. It was not the cable. It was the Internet service requirement of agreement that needs to be checked within the box.

Very friendly service and clean facilities! I travel all over the places in Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. Of all the Quality Inns, this location is my favorate! Keep up the good work!

The rooms were extremely clean as full as the hotel was it was still very quiet breakfast was a little small but the front desk staff was extremely friendly and kept it stocked the woman on nights was extremely friendly and a lovely chat and gave great local recommendations

It was so packed in the parking lot and I was getting some things out of my car and a group of men are just standing around watching me closely, as a single woman it was very uncomfortable and scary. Why would a group of grown men just be hanging out in the parking lot?

Clean, right-priced place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We were pleasantly surprised to see a microwave in the room. Also conveniently located near restaurants and even WalMart for those who might want to get water and snacks. Very close to freeway, so we were able to quickly get on the way to our next destination. :)

Is a decent location, staff was friendly. Walmart is right down the road and larrys pizza is a great option right across the way. We had a good stay. Room and location is not as clean as i would of liked, we had to buy blankets because the hotels had holes and stains. Oh and ghe front desk charged us a 181$ deposit on check in which turned out to be a charge for the stay when we had book and repaid through Expedia. All on all, its mid, come prepared with cleaning supplies and blankets your fine. Oh and yeah right about the ppol, was not open at all.

I just had a one night stay and I was really pleased with it. The front desk staff was absolutely lovely and helpful. While it is a little loud with the highway traffic, inside it was really quiet. I will agree it probably does need some cosmetic work, but my room was clean and really comfortable. I definitely plan to stay again the next time I come to that area.

Very good hotel for the price. Convenient locations to all businesses.

The staff was excellent. I loved the warm welcome when we entered and the information provided about the city itself. Breakfast was hot and ready to serve. Parking and other stuff was accessible.

The hotel is in desperate need of updating and a good cleaning. The breakfast are was small and crowded.

Not the best not the worst it was clean which made up for any faults that it had the Wi-Fi was great but the breakfast was severely lacking and empty and amenities were lacking as well
