Room was tiny pictures were deceiving no pool even tho they advertised there was a pool will NEVER stay there again!!!

Basic room, great pet area!

Not handicap friendly if you request 2 beds. I the area they put us in the wheelchair walk way was to small and no handicap parking spaces. The room was not a handicap friendly room. The wheelchair had a hard time moving around. I could not understand the person at the front desk. Very disappointed.

A/C availability was a plus. Staff was friendly and helpful. Negative: website stated falsely of property had available swimming pool.

Didn't have ice available and didn't have working tv. Had a reservation on Fri and another on Sat. When we discovered the tv was not working it was to late to cancel Sat reservation with Hotel.com. Motel 6 cancelled but we can't reach a live person with you to reverse charges for good cause

The heaters were off on the building I had to stay and it was very cold . They gave us some space heaters and blankets so ok for effort but no discount or nothing.

There was long, dark hair all over the bedding. Floors were dirty. Guest above was up all night making noise. Nobody was ever at the desk. Not at check in or when my keys stopped working. Laundry had no light. Fencing around property was unattractive and in disrepair. Big Bear is pretty around the lake. Otherwise loud with pickup trucks and sirens all day

The staff was very accommodating, friendly and even offered a one hour extended late check out Plenty of parking and good location and great value value

Not so good; left early. Room had a toilet seat ready to fall off, towels for shower are really hand towels, no room service, impossible to change on line or over the phone being told "we are completely booked and unable to change room type when there is actually 4 cars in the parking lot the whole stay. Room 133 two doors down is used as a housekeepers dog kennel, trash cans were overflowing the entire stay. Late night arrival was put right over my room and they dragged furniture or dead bodies around until 2am only to start again at 6am. Courtyard is dead weeds and dirt. No ice machine or ice bucket if there were one. At least the AC unit worked!

If you need a place to sleep for a night, this is it. I would not recommend for a family. The room and bathroom weren’t clean. Bad odors in both areas. There were bugs on the bed sheets. Good part overall is it’s pretty close to the village and the go karts.

This was by far the dirtiest motel 6 I’ve ever stayed in. There was black pubic hair all over the bathroom! Dried pee and pubic hair all over the toilet and shower, floors, and sinks. There was even hair and stained blood in the sheets and towels. When I went to the front office to complain, G.M. only offered me a new towel. I was so upset by the next morning, I demanded my room to be cleaned. They were not kind about it but did follow through. Also, my key kept deactivating and he kept asking me when I was checking out and was very rude saying, “I remember you.” I did ask during check out if there was some kind of compensation for all the inconveniences and he said he didn’t know and would call me if he could do anything. Radio silence. When a room is so gross that your young children refuse to shower, notice dried boogers on the wall, and hair everywhere, you know it’s bad.

We were unable to stay longer than 45 minutes due to the strong smell of cigarettes and the overall unsanitary condition of the room. This was one of the dirtiest motels I have ever seen. The shower appeared unclean and had not been properly washed. There was hair everywhere, the beds had large stains, and the floor was covered in dust. To make matters worse, the door connecting to the next room was unlocked, and we could clearly see the other guest, which raised serious privacy and safety concerns.

Walls are paper thin and can hear your next door neighbor. The floors had hair all over them up against the baseboards and the pillows and bedding had random strands of hair. The pillowcases are far too small for the pillows. So you’re sharing community pillows with everyone who has ever slept on them. The mattresses are hard and full of springs. The toilet bowl needed a thorough cleaning. I see now why they say you have 15 minutes upon check in for a full refund for room cleanliness. I would not stay there again.

Dirty, the people upstairs partying til 2 am. Called staff to let me know they did nothing. Mildew in the bathroom, dirty floors, stained towels. It was gross

The check in lady was incredibly sweet and kind! We loved her and she made the stay memorable. I don’t know her name but she had dark hair in braids and was very helpful and personable. The floor of the room was quite dirty and there were stains on the comforter. We didn’t use the shower because the floor looked very dirty and had to use towels to cover the floor everywhere we walked. There was also fecal matter or brown spots of some sort on the walls in the bathroom which was pretty gross. Also the toilet paper roll was almost out when we arrived. We did enjoy the complimentary coffee in the morning. Also the vending machine for toothbrushes is broken. Says to use exact change which we did, but still wouldn’t give us the toothbrush.

One of the WORST hotel rooms and experiences I've ever had and to be quite honest, I've stayed in some pretty sketchy motels back in my early 20's. We checked in at 2pm and quickly unloaded our luggage so we could go back out and enjoy some snow play & tubing nearby. When we came back later, we started to realize how bad our room actually was.(We stayed in room 104 for reference.) Within a couple minutes, we found out one of the main lamps had a broken lamp shade which cut my nephews hand when trying to turn on the lamp. We didn't know the lampshade was broken since the shade had been turned around so the jagged edges were facing the wall to hide it. The room & bathroom was dirty like they never sweep/mop. There was dirt/sand & dead bugs on the floors. The worst part was an extremely foul smell that was sour or like an ammonia type smell that could best be described as cat spray/urine all over the room. The smell alone was sickening, but after the incident where my nephew cut his hand on the lamp shade my sister went to talk to the clerk at the front desk to see if we could switch rooms since the lamp shade wasn't safe and the smell was overwhelming. At that point we were told "NO" and that they have a policy where you have 15 mins to inspect your room and make changes yet we were never told about this policy otherwise we would have inspected the room and requested a change when we first got there. Stay away from Rm#104 - 0/10 experience. I will never stay here again!

We booked a queen bed through Expedia, but upon arrival discovered it was actually a full. When we asked about it, the front desk said all of their beds are that size, which makes me think Expedia should update their listing to reflect reality. While I went into this knowing it’s a budget-friendly motel, the basics of cleanliness should never be skipped. Unfortunately, the sheets and pillowcases clearly hadn’t been properly washed—we found multiple hairs in the bed as if it had just been remade without laundering. Even more unsettling, I noticed a pile of used sheets and bedspreads sitting outside the laundry room all night, exposed to who knows what. Overall, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and accuracy in the booking. I will not be returning.

Smaller than advertised

The mattress is this place is as old as the hotel, time to upgrade!

Arrived around 8:45pm. There were a few people checking in ahead of me with only one person working. Location of room was convenient with parking close to the room. The room was satisfactory with mattresses that were pretty worn and a little uncomfortable. Everything else was okay. The walls, window, ceiling and door seemed to be extremely thin because I could hear people outside like they were inside the room and heard every step from upstairs. Enjoyed the warmth from the heater and cable tv. The room rate is expensive for what you get, but this was my only option given my budget.

Horrible!! When you book a room with two beds you expect at least a queen and not two single beds. The shower was horrible. Who puts a spout on a half circle dome facing the wall and a shower curtain to keep the water in?? Beds felt like your sleeping on the floor and the room was not even big enough for a family of 4 let alone not even for two people

The room I stayed in had mold in the shower floors and spider webs under the bed and around the HVAC and fridge. The bed was uncomfortable and the roommates upstairs were loud and stomping around in the middle of the night.

Photographs showed a separate bedroom from living space with a couch and kitchenette with cabinets. This was not what was delivered. Received a studio room, no kitchenette, no separate living space. Pictures need to be updated. The motel is falsely advertising their rooms.

This place is one of the more affordable places and you quickly find out why. If you need a place to stay a night or two, it’s good enough. It was clean enough and had everything you would need in a hotel. Two major areas of improvements I’d like to see are new windows that don’t allow sound to come in. Because of how affordable the place was, all types of folks come through here and they are loud at night. The windows showed their age. The second area of improvement would be the beds. Mine had a small piece of spring sticking out and it had made a hole in the bed. It scratched my leg, but I bent it back under the bed to make it safe to sleep on again. Mattresses can be cheap. Just swap all of them out. This place will do for short and affordable stays but keep in mind what I said.

It's a motel 6. What do you expect. Across from the lake walking path. Check in guy was friendly. Room was so tiny and beds were ugh.

The beds are really uncomfortable

Room was very small. Heater worked efficiently. Good thing because there was not a blanket on the bed, just a sheet and very light bedspread. The shower was very tiny and not comfortable. All that to say it was adequate for one night.

Mr. Z was the counter check in person. He was very friendly and remembered me from several past visits. He went out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied with my room and conditions. He sven delivered ice to my room when the ice maker in the lobby was down. Motel 6 needs mire employees like Mr Z!

I didn't like the guy at the desk. He called me a liar and wasn't very professional. When it was time to check out he was very impatient and knocked on my door every 10 min after I was there for a week. My funds were late and I was going to stay until he harassed me and made me load my car with my cats. All he had to do is give me a few min to transfer my money. Then when I finally finished loading everything the money was there and he asked if I wanted to stay. I just laughed and he said well maybe next time and I told him there won't be a next time. I was even going to offer to help clean the place up because there was alot of trash on the property. And the laundry room was filthy. The dryer didn't have the tube that connects to it to push the heat outside and it just filled the laundry room with hot moisture that was so terrible I had to prop the door open. I could have fixed that myself too. Anyway the guy was a jerk and blamed it on the boss and i asked to speak with his boss he refused to let me speak with him. The place has potential if it had better management.

I got locked out of my room a couple of times, the key just stopped working and I had to go to the front desk to get a new key. It was a bit troubling that they never even verified my identity just took the room key and replaced it.

Spiders on the room. Rude male front desk checked in at 5pm He is rude. Dont waste your money here.

Clerk was super friendly and professional. I traveled with my pets so he found a way to get me a double bed room, which was extremely nice. The location and grounds were impeccable. Definitely would come again. Only downside was that the shower was a bit dirty but you can tell it was more of a water stain, not actual dirt that was overlooked.

Just Don't. Apparently when there is wind or snow and power gets shut off this motel isn't considered a part of the commercial necessity. So while others have power you will be left with not power, no heat, no hot water, and no service. Staff left a note saying they will be back when power is back. No way of contacting with question. Also with no heat and blankets super thin we had to sleep in our snow gear to stay warm. The hotel didnt have extra blankets for us. Just horrible service. In a town where high winds and snow is suppose to be the norm they should be better prepared. While they can't control when the power gets cut how they are prepared is what shocked me. Also forget about any amenities they didn't even have a blow dryer in the room and barely any outlet which. They had two outlets in the entire room one outlet for the fridge and microwave and one open by the door. Nothing by the bed very inconvenient. As a regular at Big Bear I will stay clear of this place. For similar price or cheaper you can do better.

The worst motel experience EVER! There was no workers, no light, had to wait 2 hours to do our check in, freezing conditions and we had kids with us.!

Right across the street from the July 4th community fair. That was a great option, walking distance. BUT, check-in took at least 45 minutes. The line was out the door even with 2 people at the front. There is something wrong with their system for it to take that long to get people into their rooms. This place was understaffed for a holiday. We could not get a 1st floor room because they were still “dirty” at 5:30 on a Thursday. Where is the housekeeping? What if we had requested an Accessible room? Our room’s shower still had dark hair on the wall. Gross.

Overall, the only positive was the friendly staff, but the hotel’s condition, lack of efficiency, and outdated amenities make it not worth the price. Consider alternative accommodations in the area.

Nice solid stay for a couple days of riding. It’s super close to summit bear and even snow valley (30min away). Perfect for a solo trip. I will def be back and this is not my first time staying here.

It was alright! Its Motel 6 can’t expect much. It was centrally located and convenient to get around. Our room was in the corner close to the main street and it was pretty noisy. The hotel itself could use a remodel. It served its purpose. We had a place to stay..

An older property the room shows some wear and tear, but generally pretty clean and well kept. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance from the convention center and a short drive to Lake access or shopping. The price for rooms is competitive but reasonable for the area

Great location, only 10 minutes from The Village.

Loved the proximity to the lake and hiking areas.

Quick and easy location to access tourist attractions. Rooms were ok basic and no major issues except noisy neighbors. Plenty of parking and walkable restaurants near by.

The property is about a mile east of any markets or restaurants. There's a snow-tubbing place right next door, which seemed to stay open till 9pm or 10pm, so noise level was moderate. I'm not sure, but I believe a lot of children who might live on the premises, so a bit noisy there too. Coffee in the lobby in the morning, 7am till 10 or 11 am. Lady manager was very nice.

There were a few black hairs in both beds and on one of the pillows. Also, the sheets had some permanent stains, which we just tried not to think about. There was no complimentary morning coffee at the front desk. The reason I didn't give less than four stars is because there were several good things about our stay. 1. Jess (the onsite manager) was extremely nice and helpful. He made 2. There were no bed bugs, which is always our biggest fear of staying in a motel. 3. The refrigerator and microwave were nice to have in the room. 4. The location of the motel was great. 5. The price was reasonable, compared to other properties in Big Bear.

Inexpensive spot and close to both mountains nearby. Nothing exceptional but good spot to rest your head for the night. They do have complementary coffee and hot water available in the morning in lobby area.

This hotel is a good budget hotel. No frills. It's very convenient to walk across the street to the convention center. Prices seemed high due to the motorcycle event happening. Coffee isn't served until 7a and it was very watered down. The room did the trick if you are looking for bare bones.
