Motel 6-Lompoc, CA

This motel has its reputations but overall a better price and better now than in past than many lower priced in town. My family and our vehicles safety are of great importance and we feel more comfortable now than years ago staying here. The pool is open everyday, most of the day and maintained which many seem to enjoy and cool off in. When there was a plumbing issue, we were moved right away and to a ground floor which we originally preferred that was not available. Vijay has been very helpful, courteous, and prompt in handling whatever is needed to make our stay more comfortable. He is very professional and very attentive. Multiple people including those not staying here were hanging out and being so loud during the night and keeping us up but Fitter came out even at the late hour and made sure to get them out of here and ensure the guests a more peaceful and quiet night. I have seen both of them walk the property and discuss what needs to be handled. All the service staff have been very great. The maintenance man has been very nice, prompt, and on top of overflowing trash and more. I do wish it was a tad bit less in price, the pool was heated in the later hours, and the housekeeping was more aware of who pays online when checking rooms at checkout. In addition, the hot versus cold is very sensitive when showering but doesn’t go cold. Overall this property has taken a much better turn than in the past years and I do believe Vijay and Fitter are responsible for that.

Parking

Staff is helpful. Prices are a bit too high for this property. Owner seems to be trying to make improvements and I look forward to seeing the future results. Marcos, Veronica, Vikki, Peter, Raul, Correna and Mr. Fitter are helpful and accommodating. Overall plenty of food and shopping within walking distance and the pool is clean and clear. There are also less homeless and troublemakers roaming around than previously. My rating out of 10 despite how may be calculated is a 6/10

Most of the staff are great! Marco in Maintenance who also helps with linen tries his best to handle what needs to be handled while always smiling and courteous , Veronica is the best housekeeper here and really cares about providing great service with a smile, Peter is on top of keeping everyone happy and the guests and property safe from the riff raff, Correna is always helpful and goes the extra step for guests, Vikki is there to understand and help with a cheerful smile and makes the best coffee in the mornings, and Mr. Fitter is working on cleaning up the place in regards to clearing out the ones that are more trouble for others. The pool was in bad shape for a bit but is now clean and clear thanks to the pool man and maintenance. This property definitely needs improvements and is overpriced but I hope in the future more is invested into the property or the prices go down to better accommodate what guests are paying for.

Bathtub bottom was delaminated and disgusting. Common areas had numerous piles of dog poop.

It was a horrible experience the pool was so dirty the towels were so old and crak heads were living there found baggies of drugs underneath our beds turned them in the feont desk i cleaned my own room.maintance was friendly but afraid of owner.motel 6 is really doing bad in this part of town state really need to check into it and go undercover

Chill, peaceful and good parking.

Pool water to cold

Rooms smell, bathroom knob was broken, rented two rooms if we didn’t have the other room we wouldn’t have been able to shower, pool was dirty, someone knocked on our door at 4 in the morning, people smoking mj in the pool area

Homeless vagrants loitering around. Smoking and butts all over the ground. Stacks of filthy mattresses in parking lot.

Place is a dump. Killed 2 cockroaches. Toilet non stop flushing, tub drain half blocked with hair. Floors dirty

The bed sheets were not clean!

There was roaches, and they never cleaned it the whole time we were there

First ever that I see that the sheets were dirty & stain and hair on them. Really gross

Blood staind pillow cover. Attacked by live bed bugs. Rashes and itching make me to visit ER VA Hospital. Motel 6"s staff never take care of this problem. Not recommend and no more visit any Motel 6.💩☠️

DO NOT STAY HERE…WE CHECKED IN AND WAS GREETED NICELY. UNFORTUNATELY, OUR ROOM WAS FILTHY. THERE WAS MOLD IN THE SHOWER, CEILING, THE WINDOWS, THE FLOORS WERE DIRTY AND IN OUR ROOM 209 THE CEILING WAS LEAKING. WE REPORTED THE PROBLEM AND WERE TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE FIXED. ALSO, WE HAD NO HEAT AND VERONCIA NEVER CAME TO OUR ROOM TO FRESH UP WITH FRESH TOWELS

The room was not very clean. Sheets had been changed but still had stains. The AC did not work well. Humidity was terrible. There were numerous cockroaches throughout the stay The door lock was not fully secure. The deadbolt/securement was loose Extra pillows were unavailable The floor was quite dirty - looked like it was only swept but not mopped. Parking was good. Plenty of spaces available and close to the room Good variety of nearby stores Location is convenient Cable channels were sufficient

Checking in was easy and friendly. My room was very clean, comfortable and safe.

NEVER AGAIN! This motel 6 is filthy, unsafe, moldy, dirty and disgusting

Ac was broken, room was hot. Could not open window with people smoking outside. Offered a different room and AC was also broken. Got a small refund of 25 but had to go through hotels.com and then the front desk claimed it was not broken even know my room was over 80 degrees.

The hotel is exactly what you would expect. It’s modest. Comfortable beds, but the bathroom shower regulator was very difficult to set. It was either very cold or very hot. I had to work for about 5 to 10 minutes to get it at a temperature I could tolerate. There is also no trashcan in the room.

It was in a very nice location, easy to get everywhere. However, I water was terrible in the shower. It was either boiling hot or ice cold. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. And there was no plug in order to take a bath.

booking and checking in were easy. assigned room did not have functional air conditioning, only warm air was coming out. made the room feel extremely muggy and did not help to cool down.

STAY AWAY !!!!! Key wouldn't work TWO times. Instead of rekeying it they made us switch rooms THREE TIMES !! On the third room we finally got in. I just had surgery and it was difficult to do that. When we got in the 3rd room, it was dirty, but my wife and I went out to the car, got our own blanket and slept on that. Additionally, she felt the need to clean the room, after we had a 7 hour drive. Then, the t.v was broken on top of that . In the morning, we discovered that we had no hot water, in fact, it was freezing cold. For the 1st time in my adult life ( Im 66 ) I skipped the shower. So when I tried to clean up in the sink, we now discovered that the room had no soap. I have stayed here several times in the past, and last night was the last time. I will spend the extra money and stay in Solvang next time.

The first room we checked into on the second floor had no air conditioning that worked. It was putting out 90 degree heat. When we complained they put us in another Pom and then said that their second floor air conditioners don’t work well. We took the second room, went out for 2 hours for dinner, came back to a second room that was over 90 degrees. We complained agai and they offered to refund money. Checked out and went to a neighboring hotel. It was surprise that when checking in it was never mentioned that their second floor rooms had no functioning air conditioning.

It was loud for a Thursday night. The person above me was clearly tweeking. The furniture was moved around the room and every 10 minutes they were walking around the room stomping. So no sleep. Not to mention the young men walking around late talking loud and rough housing.

The room smelled like cigarettes. No refrigerator. People were fighting in the room next to me. The phone to call the front desk was broken. The bathroom was old. Tub was cracking. Cleaning didn’t do a great job. Will never stay here again. I felt unsafe.

Monica and ceselia at the front desk are by far the most efficient and helpful employees @ any of the motels I’ve stayed in by far. The professionalism and hospitality is impeccable! Also the African American gentlemen that I’ve only seen recently should be praised for being so helpful and quick with his dealings with customers and had an awesome experience with guest services from him I wish I could remember his name but hopefully he’s commended and all 3 rewarded for their hard work as I witnessed difficult customers with issues and they’ve resolved them with the upmost Respect and diligence I’ve seen thus far!! The 5 star ratings was given as a result of those employees doing above And beyond their job description. My compliant is that the water is horrible

The front desk was not courteous to us while we waited to be recognized. They did not offer any directions or information, did not offer receipt, and the rooms that we reserved did not have the items in them that were requested. It seemed that they had no training in hospitality services and dealing with public.

Heater was broken. They said some one will come to fix. No one showed up. Couldn't even sleep in the cold. The bathroom exhaust didn't work The Internet was crawling in our room

I initially requested a handicap room and was told upon arriving I DID NOT select a handicap room. The gentleman at the front desk I did not catch his name took it upon himself to give me a handicap room and ended up upgrading my room from a single bed to a double bed giving me a lot more room since I needed a wheelchair access. Not only did he take consideration of my request he also asked to see if I was ok and if I needed any other service. I arrived roughly around 6:30pm-7pm on Dec 7th. He was quick with my request and super efficient. Sir I did not catch your name but I want to thank you for making my stay one of the best as a 1st time handicap stay. I appreciate your kind words. He booked me into room #109. Motel 6 this man is great 😊

Made noise complaint of loud music at 6:00 am. The manager/front desk employee named Raul decided that instead of dealing with the noise complaint, he would come to my room and aggressively slam his fist on my door several times and scream ‘if I tell him again how to do his job i will f**k you up’ police were called, they came and took a report. Worst of my many experiences at Motel 6’s

Slept great on good bed. Felt safe with staff doing walk arounds. Middle of town so close to everything. No complaints.

It was near San Luis Obispo, and Slovang. The weather was great. The base is nearby, as I was visiting someone there, so it's convenient for that reason. The only thing is the room I had didn't have a fan for the bathroom, so after my shower, the room was stuffy. Besides that nothing to complain about. I got what I paid for, and it was decent.

Its quiet and close to the areas Mission Purisima and 20 min away from Solvang

It’s ok. Has a shopping center right infront of the street. A bit noisy and some tweakers roaming around.

Area is close to food and shopping. Only issue was the room had a unique odor to it. It didnt smell bad but it wasn’t pleasant either.

I literally did not stay. I got there had some weird guys whistle and cat call, one of them was standing in front of my car eyeing it while I was in the office the only reason I saw that was because I was looking at the security cameras. The area is really sketchy so I just gave my key back and left

Good value for money. Rooms were very clean. Location was easily accessible with plenty of shops nearby for convenience.

The staff are incredible and always willing to help. The downside is it’s in Cali and the homeless are all over the place.

Need is hard and lumpy, stains on bedspread and floor. No shampoo or conditioner, no soap by sink. Few towels, and they are thin and small. No fridge. No coffee.

I was greeted with friendly helpful staff. Our room was clean and the property is well taken care of. The onsite laundry and the morning coffee was a great bonus.

Worst stay at any hotel ever!!! I got this room for a visiting friend. My home does not have a spare room so we got this hotel supposedly for her to be more comfortable. No toiletries or coffee machine. The floor was so sticky she had to get items to mop floor so she could feel comfortable walking on it. Pool had a bunch of algea. She asked for towels and was spoken very rudely about asking for them. We would have moved her to another hotel, but she felt bad about us spending more money. She said she would just deal with it. Beds very uncomfortable as well. Front desk was extremely rude. I do not reccomend this hotel to anyone. I couldn't believe the bad service and cleanliness and stinginess of this hotel. She checked in on Monday and checked out on Friday. Towels and a cleaning was not too much to ask. She was excited about using the pool, but couldn't even do that. She had to buy her own soap to wash her hands there too. Ridiculous!!!

For the price, I had an amazing stay there! I was visiting Solvang and this is only 30 minutes away. The beds were very comfortable. I was travelling with an 8, 4, and 1 year child. The bath/shower always had hot water. We did not hear one sound from outside. They do a good job of putting guests away from each other as much as possible, very smart! Bedding and towels were clean! Grocery and any store you could want is all on the main street, very close! Close to great Thai and Teriyaki restaurants! Check in was super fast and hassle free, front desk was extremely nice! One of the awesome things about our room is that we were able to push the beds together so our family of five could sleep together. Of course we put the beds back apart before we left but the kids loved it! We will stay here when we come back next year!
