Motel 6 Twentynine Palms, CA

I picked it because it had a pool and my kids love to swim since we don't have a pool in our house. The pool was out of service and the hotel staff didn't compensate me for the inconvenience. My kids were upset but it was too late in the day to find another hotel.

It was horrible we booked thinking we would be able to enjoy the pool on a hot summer day in the desert. But to our surprise the pool was empty no water in it and it was just a weekend that was supposed to be fun became a hot sweaty mess

The coffee in the lobby was good. The people who work here are pleasant. The pool was good for the first 4 days, and the 5th day it was green. The washer was broken, but there is laundry facilities close by. I had to ask for replacement towels, e en thoigh i asked for hoisekeepong to come by, they did not. Okay for a Motel 6.

Close to everything we needed my son enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi

Wish the pool was working. It really killed my experience. I chose this place as an option coming from 115 miles away, with children and we were not notified before reserving that the pool was closed until after we had got there. We stayed and trusted the lady at the front desk that someone would come to fix the problem with the pool. I’m sure everyone staying there was also disappointed. You guys need alternatives or backup maintenance plan for when emergencies occur. Especially during a 3 day weekend.

Customer service was good. Room was not clean. Pool was dirty with mosquitoes growing in it

Parking was convenient

Easy access. Quiet at night. Felt very safe. Good lighting in parking lot. Pool was open and looked immaculate. The hot tub was available until 9p. I didn’t use it but it looks so clean. Room was clean and no bugs. I didn’t bother to use the wifi so I can’t speak on it. I had great 5G service on tmobile in the area once I got out of JT NPark.

For just 'a place to shower & sleep', it met its needs, for the basics, with no frills. For the first 2 days, price was fair (booked through Experdia, but when i needed to Add an additional day, price went up, for the same room. Pool was not Open/Functional for entire stay, so price should have been discounted. I would have preferred a coffee pot/coffee/water in the room, but its only offered in Lobby and then I only use REAL COFFEE CREAM, (Half & Half), but they only had artificial powdered stuff (chemicals) so it ruined my morning coffee. I mentioned cleanliness. Dirt was under the bed and by the bed legs. Tub was clogging and I was standing in 6" of water! I reported it, apparently the guy came in to unclog it, but tub wasn't cleaned, there were no new towels/soap, etc, when i came back in later that nite! But The STAFF was good. Accomodating, empathetic, understanding and willing to help.👍 Keep the pricing low, and for what it is, its a good deal. If you're on a Vacation, you might want to step it up a bit to a more luxury/amenities HOTEL. 👍

Rooms very simple no frills but very clean and comfortable. A/C works great, everything you need for a couple nights stay. Elevator a plus, beautiful pool and easy to walk to eating places.

I feel sorry l have to give such a poor review when the staff were so nice. The rooms are clean on the surface but if you look closely in the corners and under beds etc they are filthy. The sheets are clean but look like they have been washed thousands of times and are thin and grey. Finally the ventilation in the rooms are all interlinked so when one person in the hotel smokes everybody smokes (not just cigarettes either) even if you are in a no smoking room. Sorry but avoid this hotel.

This was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotel rooms. Upon walking in, my sister noticed her shoes sticking to the floor, and shortly after that she noticed a pool of ‘water’. We thought perhaps housekeeping had recently mopped and didn’t get all the water up. That assessment proved untrue as soon as we wiped up the puddle with a towel and saw how black it got. Then when we were crawling into bed we saw another puddle of something seeping from under the nightstand. Needless to say, it was extremely disgusting. Maybe if Motel 6 was still $6/night we would have overlooked it, but for $125 I think it deserves a calling out.

There were cockroaches in the room. The floor were very dirty and sticky. It felt like the room was not cleaned for months. The beds weren’t comfortable and gave me a swollen eye due to unclean sheets.

This was my first time booking a Motel 6, and ultimately the last. I knew the comfort would be limited - fine. But I really was hoping for a clean room. Instead - awful stains on top of the toilet, the stickiest floor ever, hair everywhere, a dead fly on top of the A/C. Ugh...

Upon entering the room I found a wad of long, black, wet hair on the floor by the bed. There was also hair in the bathtub and on the toilet. I was kept company by a dead cockroach under the sink. Mirrors were dirty and smeared. Staff were friendly though. Rates were more than fair, but I won’t be back. Icky.

This property did have bedbugs and they did bite me all over my body I was sick for 3 days

For an overnight stay, this place is just fine You will have some difficulty taking a shower if you are tall. But I would stay again when needed.

No real complaints. The walls are pretty thin but thats not unusual. Got woken up a couple times but apart from that it was a good stay. Would stay there again.

The price was great. The pool was closed Couldn't get wifi to work. I worked for Motel6 in the mid 70s good to see they have maintained there brand.

Noise from the road and from other guests most of the nights.

Traveling solo as a female I was comforted that the parking lot was close to my door and that I was able to travel in and out without feeling unsafe, even at night. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice smell to the room. The only thing was that one of the lights didn’t work and the mini fridge was very wobbly with a bunch of water leaking from the freezer part. Otherwise, I had a very pleasant stay and I’d say it’s worth the price if you’re looking for a place to sleep at night. Did not try the shower.

the location is good,being near restaurants & Joshua park. But I stayed over for 5 nights no one came to make up my room. The Wifi at my room 330 at the east part of whole building is very very poor that I had to go to the office to get the wifi. To stay over a night seems ok but not a long staying over.

My first question on check-in, was the location safe. The desk clerk did everything to reasure me which I give her credit for doing. In fact the staff was friendly and outgoing. Internet was a big fail. I could not maintain a connection unless I was close to the lobby.

The motel atrached an additional blocking thing to prevent opening the window. I think it is not a good idea. I prefer fresh air in night rather than conditional or fan.

Very nice staff. Clean, and the bed was nice, but the "newly remodeled" deluxe room was remodeled more than five years ago and the AC and refrigerator were very noisy. The only "Deluxe" room and it shared a wall with the elevator. Staff offered to move us to a standard room farther away from elevator noise, but we decided to tough it out.

Room was located on the 3rd floor, and the elevator is situated that it only goes to one side of the floor, so once you exit the elevator, you had to walk down to the end of the building, around, and back down the other side. The room was small, but nice. The bed was a little "springy" but overall, not a bad stay for the price.

People at the front desk were very helpful, professional and nice.

The room was dirty and then I called to the front desk and she asked me did I want to get some cleaning supplies to clean the room myself

The Staff here is AMAZING Karen at front desk is kind compassionate helpful and just a pleasure housekeeping is always kind helpful and dont give you an attitude when you need anything. I would highly recommend this Motel 6 if you are ever on this side of town. Its been a great stay for me absolutely NO COMPLAINTS from me

Drove 3 hours to find out they cancelled my reservation for no reason…tried to charge me before I got there even though I chose the pay at property option on Expedia… manager was supposedly not available till the next morning…no one to hold accountable…what a joke this place is

I literally helped staff wash blood off a wall and the bathroom door. Maintenance had to come in, also, to rehang the curtain. Another guest had a large dog which came out of their room right up to me (I have a dog and have had dogs for years and volunteer in rescue) and scared the sh$# out of me. Same room had a guest who got pissed out and was cursing at me for not saying "hi" back to him. I've stayed here before and have had various experiences with this outfit and this was the worst, not to mention, the lady at the front desk seemed like my coming to check in was an inconvenience for her and normally you can expect the most cheerful bunch behind that counter. Horrible night but once the staff and MYSELF had the room clean, I locked the door and left as soon as in the morning

One towel and two washcloths for three people in the room upon arrival. Called the office, was told to come down for more (vs them bring to us), then was given one blue pool towel and one white bath towel. We stayed in three Motel 6s on this vacation and this was by far the worst. The price reflects it though.

We loved our stay! The best Part was amazing customer service! Clean and well maintained. Very convenient and fast check in and check out. So good!

We have been staying at this motel 6 for the past 20 years ago when we went to Joshua Tree NP. Our past experience had been great, and the facilities was great, too - a rating score of 10. However, this time we were disappointed. Pros: 1. it's very close to the JTNP North Entrance, the one across from cottonwood entrance. 2. it's about 18 miles from walmart where you can buy everything you need. cons: 1. why did the check-in lady call my hubby "honey?" Did she try to provoke something? 2. They have plumping problem. I woke up around 4am to go use the bath room and the toilet was clogged. I called the front desk to ask for a plunger. He said if you want one come down to get it. I asked if he could bring it up to us (all other hotels that I experienced brought the plungers to us, some even helped us unclog it). He said, "no, if you want it come get it." I asked, "so you rather prefer the toilet to overflow?" He said, "if you want it come and get it, that's how it works." When my husband went to get it, he was not friendly either. He also wanted us to bring it back, but we ended up keeping it, because the it was bad enough that we had to keep using it. I looked around the toilet, there were water marks that indicated that overflowing toilet has been a problem. 3. The fan in the bathroom did not work. 4. The floor was filthy! At one point, I spilled some water, I wiped it off with some toilet paper, just one wipe, the paper was black! 5. Bring your own toilet paper.

It’s okay for a one night stay for the price I paid. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. It’s just the area around the property looks sketchy.

Very close to the Joshua Tree National Park. Also restaurant, grocery stores, gas station are easy to access. Hotel staff was very friendly. The room has enough space.

Central and affordable location for exploring JT and the other attractions of the Mojave desert.

We stay at this motel to visit Joshua Tree national park. Location was good. Room was clean.

I stayed here for one night. The property was fine and the room was clean, but the amenities were very basic and disappointing. The toiletries provided were not of good quality, and there was no body lotion, and no body wash just a soap. There was also no kettle for hot water or any coffee-making facilities in the room. Overall, it was just a clean room to stay in for the night, but the lack of proper amenities really made the experience less comfortable.

Used Expedia at a lower price for Micro/Fridge. Rooms were clean. Rooms were sold out ended up on 3rd floor. Didn't like all the stairs but really didn't like older elevator, so I did the stairs! Had to go to Office for coffee none in rooms. Overall it was a good stay and lowest price in the area.

Booked room for an over stay to attend a graduation. Just needed a place to sleep to avoid a 3 hour drive up and back. Pleasantly surprised from check in, easy and hassle free, to room condition. This is a motel 6 in 29palms in the start of summer, outside temperature 108. if anyone knows the area then you appreciate a cleam, cool room. The motel has been updated since last visit, few years ago. Basic room, microwave, refrigerator and smaller flat screen tv. Bed was amazingly comfortable and pillows not bad. The window a/c was more than adequate, cooled off room very well, keep in mind highs were 108. Del Taco next door and a market that had a little bit of everything. This is their off season so no one on either side of me and it was quiet. Was given a room on back and was told that is best to avoid the road noise on other side. Refrigerator and microwave were both in good condition and clean. My only complaint is towels were on the smaller side and a little rough and two small bars of soap. I always bring my own toiletries so no big deal. Will stay again if and when in the area visiting.

We have stayed here before because it is next to the Joshua tree national park. It is clean, well run, beds, sheets and towels were good quality and comfortable, and most of all, they allow pets. All the other guests were quiet, no parties. Only drawback is there is no breakfast, just some low quality coffee, but there is a Starbucks a couple of miles away.

The property was noisy and many tenants appeared to be living there full time. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Website says grab and go breakfast but all that was available was coffee, no food.

Clean but space: no hair dryer, no coffee maker, very small and rough bath towels

I have to say if you want to save money and get a nice room. Stay here save the money and have a great dinner in town. I would recommend the Rib Company.

Clean and reasonable price given the location. However no coffee machine though.
