I love the Woodcliff, we have stayed there multiple times through the years. The linens are always clean, the beds comfortable and the staff lively. We enjoyed the hot tub during our brief stay, we did notice that the tiles need replacing as there is a huge gap/crack on the platform of the stairs and the grout in need of cleaning. For the most part however it was a nice stay (as always).

Pool and hot tub were dirty with brown stains in the bottom of the pool. Hot tub was out of order with green slime in it. This is one of the main reasons for staying at the property. I mentioned it to staff who pretended to be unaware of the issues even though reviews from a couple weeks ago mentioned it. Have stayed there multiple times when in the area but will not go back.

The pool was very dirty, broken flooring, cracked tiles, bugs and dirty floating all over the pool. Needs a lot of work. Staff were crossing the pool area with catering equipment to get to a wedding. The carts were very loud and breaking the rock floor. Rooms are outdated and needs repairs including the toilet paper holder. I would not recommend staying at this location for the price.

Well, I absolutely love the wood cliff. There are a few things that are infuriating. I’ve been going there for many years and the fact that the Jacuzzi is no longer working is a huge imposition. It’s one of the main reasons I booked that hotel. And the fact there is no lunch service and no room service is very difficult these days post Covid.

Stayed four nights. No housekeeping service done on any day. Pool dirty. Hot tub broke (Hot tube was the reason we picked this hotel.) Gym was excellent. Sauna was good. Landscaping was beautiful. Location was very good. Golf course is great.

When purchasing the reservation on Expedia there was no mention of the fact that the indoor pool was not working which was the main reason that we booked this hotel. Combined that with a nonfunctioning elevator and overpriced food. Very disappointing.

Positive it was quiet. Negative it was Moldy in shower out dated rooms pool was unclean full of pollen and had bugs in it. Sauna was broken. Switched rooms and there was blood on the sheets only stayed 1 night it wascnot worth the high price tag. Would rather go to a HI express.

There were bugs and insects in the room. I spoke for a room change but they were all full and offered to come kill the bugs which I wasn’t comfortable with. Old rooms and I couldn’t sleep thinking about all the possible bugs/insects on ceiling/near light

Was told at check-in there would be no housekeeping. If you need clean towels, get them at the front desk. I asked three different front desk people what was going on, and received three different answers. No drinking glass in the bathroom! Was told they are concerned about breakage! Never heard of a plastic cup? Have stayed at the Woodcliff several times and was hugely disappointed in this stay. Not sure they own a vacuum cleaner. The entry rug and elevator rugs were filthy!

Extremely expensive for the quality of the property. Rooms have been updated. We had to put our coffee maker on the ground to use it. Not worth the hassle because the coffee was horrible. The air conditioner sounded like an d car ready to die. The bathtub had a dirty ring because the water didn’t drain well. We went downstairs to get some of the complimentary Starbucks coffee but there wasn’t any to be found. They were out of it. There were holes in the wall down the hallway. Not much more to be said except don’t stay here. Not worth the price

This place is absolutely disgusting. Dirty, smelly, and an absolute rat hole. We walked out after seeing our disgusting room that had torn sheets, exposing a dirty mattress. The room smelled like disgusting body odor. The hallways and elevator were disgusting and are not regularly cleaned. Just a disgusting place!

The reception gentleman was rude and complained he was the only one available all 3 nights we stayed. Also, the hallway outside our rooms contained crumbs. The hotel staff did not clean our room during our stay and we had to go to the main desk in reception to get extra towels as there was no one to bring them to our room. The hotel is not worth the money and I do not recommend staying.

The setting of the hotel was spectacular and the rooms were spacious. The bathroom could use an update and an exhaust fan. The staff was very accommodating. Housekeeping was by request only with towels available at the front desk.

I stay at this location for convenience to my company facility in the area. However, the last few stays have been less than what I had previously experienced. The last time I stayed, the TV was not working and the room next to me was troublesome. I contacted the front desk, and they eventually got the room next door to quiet down at a reasonable time. Also, the TV did not work and despite efforts, they could not get it to work. Same with this stay. The TV did not work, and the front desk mentioned there was no "engineer" on site at that time and that when they arrived, they would send them up. I never heard back from anyone.

Really wonderful room but, had I known there was a wedding onsite when we were there, I would’ve requested a room on the other side of the property. It was a loud night until the wedding ended.

Being from Rochester, I had much higher expectations for my stay. The staff was welcoming & friendly. I had a phenomenal experience in the bar & restaurant and will be sending a letter to the property about the excellent service we received. However, the room I stayed in was HORRIBLE! For $700 I could have booked a room at the Renaissance for $50 less and received a nicer room. We were given a disgusting handicap room and not told upon checkin. Our bathroom looked like a rest stop bathroom. No sink counter space to get ready. My curling iron continued to roll into the sink. I had to layout my stuff on the desk and walk back and forth to the bathroom. The room was outdated and not very clean. The coffee mugs were sticky, one of the coffee packets has been half used. My husband was so disappointed as I had talked up the property from my childhood. He will never stay here again when we come to town to visit family. We would however dine again at Horizons. That experience is more in line with the level of service and quality we are used to. There are other properties in Rochester that are nicer & cheaper.

I havnt been here since I was 8 and my parents had their wedding reception. The place is GREAT in 2025. Restaurant gets an a+++ as did our Sunday night bartender. What could set the place apart from be great to excellent is in the smallest of details. Everything seemed clean and well kept… until we got in the elevator. The hotel was low traffic during our stay, so this wouldn’t be the excuse. The elevators looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a week. This is being picky because the place is gorgeous. But when you have a beautiful hotel, something like that sticks out in a painfully obvious way. Our room was huge with scenic views.

The hotel is in a sort of business park, so we were unsure when we pulled in that we had found it. However it was fine, front desk friendly and the place was not busy. We were there for one night so can't really review. The room was comfy and clean - paper thin walls, we could clearly hear the conversation of the people next door.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Biggest complaint was that the AC units were very old and even after switching rooms to see if AC would be better, it wasn't. It made for an uncomfortable night of sleep.

Hotel was a great location and had a beautiful view. James at the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful. We weren’t recognized for our VIP access, nor were we offered a room upgrade. Restaurant staff was great as well.

I love staying at the Woodcliif - It's peaceful and serene. I love the fire pit out back where you can catch a view of the City and the bar is fantastic. Service is always the best.

Hotel is dirty! Room was dirty and common area in the lobby was filthy. Price is definitely overpriced for the way the rooms are kept. The bathroom had stains on the wall and the floor was dirty. We had to put towels on the bathroom floor before we could walk on it. The staff at the front desk was rude and the manager was also rude! Didn’t seem to like that I booked though Expedia.

There was an unfortunate leak in an above hotel room that damaged a front desk computer and backed up the check-in time/process. Staff was friendly. Rooms a bit dated, bathroom shower really needed to be re-grouted. I wish I had time to grab a glass of wine at the restaurant!

Beautiful place! We were there for two days, and after the first day, we had asked at the front desk for our garbage to be emptied and for more toilet paper, and we got neither! Spa services and restaurant were a bit pricey!

Upon check-in, I was greeted with a list of what they cannot do. Including I was told if I needed towels or service I needed to come down to the desk and get everything. This is on top of all of the other changes where there is no longer any airport shuttle service. There is also no person to help with baggage. If you pull up, you have to drag all of your luggage from the parking lot, which is very far away and take it up to your room yourself.

The reception gentleman was rude and complained he was the only one available all 3 nights we stayed. Also, the hallway outside our rooms contained crumbs. The hotel staff did not clean our room during our stay and we had to go to the main desk in reception to get extra towels as there was no one to bring them to our room. The hotel is not worth the money and I do not recommend staying.

Hotel was a great location and had a beautiful view. James at the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful. We weren’t recognized for our VIP access, nor were we offered a room upgrade. Restaurant staff was great as well.

The property is getting a bit dated. The location, though, is lovely. Note that the restaurant has breakfast and dinner only. There is a small coffee stand, but nobody was ever there to serve you.

There is a spa and 9 hole golf course on the property, as well as walking trails. The restaraunt on site was delicious and I highly recommend the breakfast and dinner options! Great hotel!

Well, I absolutely love the wood cliff. There are a few things that are infuriating. I’ve been going there for many years and the fact that the Jacuzzi is no longer working is a huge imposition. It’s one of the main reasons I booked that hotel. And the fact there is no lunch service and no room service is very difficult these days post Covid.

The staff were uniformly helpful, caring and courteous. Meals were subpar and in terms of variety and food options. The brunch was far beneath my expectations in terms of food choices and variety. And breakfast was similarly poor - no dry cereal and no fresh fruit or berries. No oatmeal porridge. The hotel policy not to change the bed linen or make the beds for the duration of my stay was unbelievably substandard. One of the elevators had a crumbly foreign material on the floor in significant quantities and there was no attempt made to remove it or clean the dirty carpet for the 3 days I was there.

It was my first visiting and I extended my stay an extra day. I was in my own little world. The staff were extremely nice, I ordered room service and got their burger, which was AMAZING. The room was clean and I loved the shower. It was a nice, calming atmosphere. Definitely will be going back.

We have stayed here many times but it’s been a couple years. We stayed 3 nights. The first room we had there was a screw driver left by maintenance on the bathroom sink and the phone didn’t work to call down or to order room service. They switched rooms for us and it was one floor up and just as bad. Every unit has wall ac units like you would get at an airport best western. And they are just as loud as you would think. Also the bathroom fan never goes off and is just as loud so you are getting it from both sides of the room. There was a wedding going on our last night and even being on the 5th floor it was like they were in the room with us until around 2am. The lobby and restaurant are nice and the food was good and the beds were comfortable. Just a super outdated hotel with no frills but you are paying top dollar around 300 plus a night, and for that area it’s a big ask. Def will not be returning next month on another trip.

This hotel wasn't what we expected. The photos are deceiving, the lobby looks nice and renovated but as soon as you get into the elevator, you can see how old this property is. The room had a weird smell, carpet was old, bathroom needs updates. Everything is outdated, but our biggest disappointment was the pool. We wanted to enjoy some outdoor time at the pool with our kid but unfortunately the pool was too cold we couldn't get in. Even the indoor part, we could not enjoy at all. There's a ping pong table and that's all we did in that property. Not worth the price they charge. Breakfast at the restaurant was good too.
