Extended Stay America Suites - Hartford - Farmington

Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Laundry machines have a credit card option which was very convenient. That’s the only nice things about this place. Parking is abysmal. While building smells very off. If you need to be in Farmington this should be your last resort in my opinion.

Clean room, pleasant check in, easybparking, and very quiet!

Interior decor very dreary and institutional. Key cards often didn’t work. Some of the staff were great, others, not. Coffee during “free breakfast” not replenished once urn empty. Lots of cigarette butts on the ground in front of entrance and No Smoking policy not strictly enforced.

Staff are so friendly and they are animal lovers. I was nervous because i have a pit bull. But no one here is scared of her. Insted they pet her and smile when her hole boddy wiggles with excitement. This place is home away from home.

The entry and hallways were appeared somewhat dated. Vending machine was only accepting cash

The front desk staff were wonderful & when we asked for coffee, we got a coffee machine, coffee pods, sugar & cream. We could have used a spoon or stir stick though. There was NOT a couch with a bed. it was a reclining "chair" that no adult would sleep in. Also no bedding or pillows for this chair. There was only one garbage - in the bathroom. There were no USB outlets. One of the drawers in the dresser, under the TV was missing. Looks like potential broker drawer rails. But, there was a table, a desk, a TV, a nice kitchenette with fridge, stove, sink & microwave. I did notice that plates, cups, pots, pans, utensils could be requested. The closet by the door was large & had wire shelving and a few hangers. I also noticed that basic internet (texting & checking email) was free, but there would be a fee in order to stream. But, the monthly internet was only $36! That is better than most other plans! There was also construction going on within the hotel, so the halls were covered with paper as were the elevator floors.

So, There were some good things about this place: good location right off 84, pet friendly, and the staff I met were very nice. Now the cons: 1. The staffing setup is weird, even for post-Covid scaled-down hotels. There is a front desk behind glass. 90% of the time, there's no one there. If you stand there for 30 seconds, there is a camera, and usually somebody sitting out of sight will ask to help you. But why not just have that person sit in the front, and be on call to help guests? *Everything* here seems to be calculated to minimize the number of staff. 2. Breakfast is not good. Usually at this price point or even below, you get the classic 6-10 breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, the waffle maker, cereals, etc. Here, there is a small counter, and from 6-9:30 they put out coffee and tea, packets of instant oatmeal, and some individually-wrapped poor-quality muffins. That's it. There's no communal space in the hotel, and this counter is in the entry area where the glassed in reception also is. For the rest of the day there's no coffee, water, chair-no reason to be anywhere in the hotel other than your room. 3. No gym, no pool. 4. The rooms are equipped with fridge, stove, cabinets and sink. There is not a single pot, fork, ice cube tray, or salt shaker in the room. They provide a list of available things, from spatula to colander to dish drying rack, that you can request, and they will give you. Have people stolen this stuff? 5. My room smelled funky.

The room has full kitchen and laundry room

Staff was very nice and the area is lovely and easy parking and very convenient location. It was generally clean. View outside was great. But, there are people with loud kids and you can smell there have been smokers in the room in the past and some marijuana smoke in the hallways.

Let me first give a shout-out to the staff at the property. Tina in particular was so very helpful and offered exceptional customer service. The other front desk personnel, maintenance and housekeeping staff were also great. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was easy to get settled in and feel like home after a bit. On-site laundry was very convenient and kept very clean. Location is very convenient to I-84 so easy to get most anywhere quickly. My only complaint was that the bathroom and kitchen floors were a little sticky.

The hallways and room had smell

Was grateful to find a place to shower and sleep after a LONG day of international travel. BUT the place smelled funky and had dirty towels and beding in my room. I seemed like someones black mascara.

Clean rooms, god price

Took a chance and so glad I did. Everything was extremely ckean and receptionists were very helpful. Would stay again.

Upon checking in the desk staff was pleasant but was on a personal call the whole time. The odor in our room was awful, A mix of cigarette smoke and mold. The AC was off and on and the room temp was not comfortable. There were dirty towels in the bathroom when we arrived. Pull out mattress was stained possibly urine. We could not stay more than 1 night.

The rooms we stayed in were large with one queen and one pull-out couch each, one pleather chair. Kitchen has nothing in it, you have to ask front desk for items, like plates, that you need. Couches and chairs very squeaky and not clean looking. The part that got me was there was dried pee on the bathroom floor and dried urine on the front of the toilet. I'm not sure who I was more irritated with, cleaning staff or the slob who can't aim.

The room, and especially the bathroom floor, was filthy. Didn't look like it was vacuumed and/or mopped in a while. The mattress was old and broken down, causing me to roll into my spouse. The breakfast is weak. Oatmeal packets and granola bars to eat in your room.

The property was convenient and it was quiet. However, the room lacked a carpet; the TV wasn't working and I needed to fix it,: the bathroom lacked safety bars in the tub; a soiled towel was left as a floor mat in the bathroom; the room had an overall "cold and unwelcoming" feeling.

The bed was brutal. Might as well have been a pull out. I couldn’t sleep at all despite being very tired.

Pretty standard room/experience for an Extended Stay property. Room was clean, but dark. Room was on the 1st floor, so people would walk by the window from the parking lot. Fridge was noisy at times (though it is nice to have a fridge); neighbor also was noisy. Front desk attendant usually not very visible/available. But it was close to where I needed to be and the price was better than nearby hotels. I would stay here again if needed.

The hotel itself was a little dated in that the lighting everywhere was pretty dim; a couple of the lamps didn’t work in the room either; the breakfast included is just some granola bars and muffins wrapped in plastic; and there was no housekeeping (at least not during my stay). It did its job at the most basic level but I definitely had higher hopes when checking in.

The Beds were harder than sleeping on a floor! Terrible

We got a very nice room - the hotel upgraded us at no charge, since the type of room I booked was not available.We have stayed here before, and it always seems like they don't have enough dishes, silverware, etc. for all the rooms. The room was clean, beds comfortable. Had trouble w/satellite tv, we were told was due to rainy weather.

the place needs to be updated and repainted. The room was clean, but it had some broken stuff, and it was old.

Nice staff. Good location close to I-84. Clean room. Convenient kitchen. But the AC was out of order in our room and the sofa bed for the third person in our group was not made. In the new room we had to ask for sheets and make the bed ourselves. In addition, the AC was very noisy which made it hard to sleep. And the sofa bed needs to be replaced. Horrible mattress. Also, saying that breakfast is including is misleading: there were only a few muffins and a few packs of oatmeal on a small counter by the reception.

Great hotel, quiet and family friendly. Staff was very accommodating and helpful.

Our original room had some issues and the front desk immediately moved us to a new room which was much better for us. All in all the staff was the best part about this hotel.

They overbooked and turned me away at the property. They have not authorized a refund just yet.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. The clerk noticed that I had booked a handicap room, which I was unaware of, and upgraded me to a regular room without a problem. This location is excellent as it is right off the interstate, and easy access to shops nearby.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The price was very reasonable for the quality offered. The location couldn't have been more convenient—safe and easily accessible to everything I needed. Checking in was a breeze, with no hassles whatsoever. The property itself was well-maintained, with clean and tidy grounds that made for a pleasant environment. Best of all, the staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort and value!

My experience with service was disappointing. They expected me ti know the stupid rules without been told. Yeah stupid rules. Maintenance lady was very rude when asked for clean towels.

A nice clean and quiet motel just off I91 15 mi S of Hartford in a nice area near medical facilities and office parks .

A perfect location, close to highway. Safe area and a great restaurant less than a mile away. Easy clean and convenient. Will stay here again.

Close to everything

Walking distance to Aldi and restaurants. We were in town for a graduation and spent 4 days. Easy reach of Bradley International. Our room was comfortable and clean.

Spacious and Clean Room with Kitchen. Complimentary Breakfast was not complete, served with just Muffins and nutrition bars (Grab & Go).

One morning there was no coffee and no oatmeal for breakfast. WiFi quit on me after the first morning.

Clean but very basic property. Room has no amenities at all. One small tube of shampoo but no lotion, no body wash, no shower cap…the basics you would get even in a budget motel. Kitchenette has nothing - no mug for tea, no coffee pot or kettle, no spoons, nothing in any drawer or cupboard. Have to go to the desk to get anything at all yourself. Breakfast (it’s a stretch to call it that) was instant oatmeal eaten in a paper coffee cup. No bowls. No milk. And a nutribar. No fruit. No toast. No tea, only coffee. No milk. Wow!!

Kitchen useless because no cookware, dishes, etc provided. Meager breakfast. No coffee in room. Dunkin Donuts and Ice cream store are the only restaurants within in a walkable distance. Otherwise, a good location if you have a car. Clean and modern.
