Our room had a foul smell. The pool water looked nasty and it was freezing.

Hotel was in bad condition. Pool was not clean and resembled old bath water. Elevator was not working and several people were getting trapped in the elevator. Rooms were not cleaned well and hotel suites are not suites at all. Better options close to the hotel.

Its was ok. When we went to use the pool to wear out the little one. We knoticed that is was cloudy and the filters was not on. We asked if it was safe to use the pool the lady looked confused and said yes. When expressed out conserns she just looked confused. When we got in the pool area the water was freezing and like i said the water was cloudy. Only lasted 5 minutes. My 4 yr was not happy. Went to breakfast took one look at the food it looked like it was freezer burned and heated up. No thank you. We ate out for breakfast. We asked for extra towel bc there is 4 in the room but was only supplied 3 towels. Never got it. Beautiful hotel just need to take better care of the pool (clean it)

Beds comfortable. Breakfast not so good. Pool had to much chlorine in it. Service was okay

The hotel room and bathroom were very clean. Seemed like it may have been recently updated. The refrigerator didn't work very well. The indoor pool was pretty cold. The area had lots of places to eat. It was near the highway so that made it easy to get back on the road.

The staff was courteous. When we checked in we were told about the breakfast, laundry, and pool hours. We were however unable to use the pool. It was way too cold in the pool and also the pool room. The room was ok but in need of a deep cleaning.

The pool was green. The breakfast was either freezer burnt or overcooked. The sausage was all dried out, so I didn't eat anything. The room smelled like the spice curry. It was such a weird smell, but that's what it reminded me of.

10/10 would stay here again staff was friendly and welcoming, breakfast was amazing, pool was great

We loved that it feels like a mom and pops hotel. That the people working we very kind and helpful and served us in a timely manner. The only thing wrong was it was cold in the pool hall.

Very Clean throughout and the staff was great.

Shower was leaking water all over the floor. The room was dirty. The hall carpet was dirty and smells. There was no desk attendant. The facility was run down.

Management was very nice and professional but my room had roaches

I killed one roach in the room, who knows how many I missed. Front Desk couldn’t have cared less, told me it was just a stink bug. It’s no wonder there were roaches since the room was filthy and the floor had food all over it. This is a run-down stinker of a place. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Clean and newly renovated rooms. Breakfast was standard- cereal, muffins, and waffles.

Bathroom could have been cleaner. Hairs all over the bathtub and sink. Countertops were a bit messy.

We found a MASSIVE tick crawling around the headboard. The bathroom smelled like piss. The bath mat inside the tub was pulling up and the water would sit in the bottom of the tub and not drain. The A/C kept freezing, thus it wouldn’t blow any cold air. The sheets had black stains on them. And the room smelled like sweat. I will *never* stay here or recommend it and am waiting to hear back about my refund. The staff was very lackadaisical as if the conditions of the hotel were normal.

The bathroom was extremely tiny. It was difficult to walk in and actually have room to close the door. The bathtub had mold growing all around the caulking. We were disturbed by housekeeping early (8:45) even with the “Do not disturb” sign on the door. We received a text around 8:30 asking us to check out online. It felt like we were being rushed out even though checkout was at 11:00. We were led to believe that breakfast was open until 10:00 but it had been put away at 9:30 and we were informed that 10:00 was “only on the weekends.” The staff handling the breakfast was extremely kind, offering to bring us something from the back if we wanted it. Other than a couple kind staff the trip was okay. The bathroom was unexceptionable, though, in my opinion.

The front desk staff are very nice and accomdating. However my room was not clean and the overall upkeep and look of the building was undesirable. The floors were dirty, mirrors dirty. They need a professional cleaning service that is able to pay attention to the details of cleaning. Will not stay there again

The room was disgusting. There was hair and stains on the sheets. The AC was caked with dust and had an old fragrance filter clipped to hide the smell coming out of it. There was hair and animal(rat) feces in the bathroom floor. The toliet and shower were also dirty. We checked out 2 minutes after checking in.

Staff were very friendly and the rooms were very nice for the price. Of note, there is little sound proofing for the rooms. The location has significant traffic noise, which is a constant detractor, and you can hear everything that happens in the hallway.

The elevator needs new catpet or flooring. It was raveled and gross. Parts of the elevator where duct taped. Our room was small. The beds were hard as rocks. The tv was huge for a hotel room. The tub had a large area chipped off and drained super slow. No hair dryer. When my dtr asked at desk for one, the man was rude and said the room had one. Finally got a hair dryer when i called front desk. Not enough towels. No bathroom rug. Breakfast was not the best. Poor selection and coffee was gross. Should have stayed across the street. Poor value for amou t spent.

Everything was nice accept for the shower bathtub. After one shower the water didn't drain and stayed that way all night.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is right on a 6 lane highway and very noisy.

Maintenance of facility is slipping. I have stayed in many country inns, this one is not up to par. Air conditioning thermostat was uncontrollable. Change of one degree caused significant swings from cold to hot. Bathtub chipped and rusted discolored and missing seal around tub. Bathroom door would not open all the way because bowed shower rod installed improperly over walkway. Cleaning staff works because room was clean.

Good size room; however, the bathroom was very small. It was difficult closing the door to use the toilet. Also the bathroom facet was broken. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room also had plenty of outlets for recharging our electronic devices.

Clean and convenient but tiny bathroom even for one person, subpar shampoo. Above average coffee and juice at breakfast

Really small bathroom.

This wouldve been a 5 star review, however on the last day i had to call the police because whoever did the overnight shift does not communicate with morning shift. We wanted to late checkout, and when i wanted to do late checkout I was problem even though we notified the overnight shift that we were checking out late. The front desk said i did not notify them of the late checkout until 2pm, when i remember specifically that i told the overnight man(at 4am mind you) that we were checking out late. When i asked for general manager and disctrict manager information, i was treated like how they treat their women over the pond (like trash) all because of miscommunication from overnight to dayshift. Would not recommentd this location if you are doing a girls weekend or if you are single because the employees do not have common courtesy. Have already contacted BBB AND disputed my card. I knew i shouldve spent the extra $125 to stay downtown STL. The breakfast thankfully was decent, but other than the late checkout issue this is a great location. Its right off the highway.

When we checked in at around 830pm. Ther was no record of having a reservation from Expedia. I gave the clerk the confirmation number but he couldnt find the reservation. We were able to get a room, but my concern is if we book thru expedia and get somewhere and they dont have the reservation we will be out of luck. I dont know if this was expedias problem or the hotel. My other concern is if we will get billed twice. Ill will checkmy credit card and follow up. Thank you. I would love to get a human response if possible.

one roll of toilet paper, no kleenex, no clock-had to ring desk bell 6 times before staff appeared to assist with check out. was charged extra $100 on arrival to be refunded at check out. Still awaiting refund although was told it would immediately be put back on my card. would not recommend this hotel

Property owner charged credit card on the morning of our arrival and we had chosen to pay at property, felt they were a little zealous in collecting fees for our rooms early.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful! I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere.

The front desk clerk said he could not find my reservation, nor my brother’s reservation. and he said there were no rooms available. I said I had a confirmation thru Expedia, but he couldn’t find it. I didn’t get to stay!

Tacky. Upon arrival check in personnel were hard to understand( accent and dialect) took multiple attempts and spelling to communicate. Required I give them a credit card for security deposit ( told card would NOT be charged yet it was ). I was told I would be able to obtain a receipt with a zero balance upon check out, yet at check out I was told “ we don’t have paper for that”, and a refund would appear in 24-48 hours! The room was OK. Little fridge was not cold so had to keep items in cooler on ice. Bed was very very firm and uncomfortable for my sleep, yet my husband did OK. The facility appeared to have some upgrades done yet unskillfully completed. Breakfast was the usual with waffle maker, scrambled eggs and sausage. Bagel but with no fresh fruit available. Upon check out attempted to pass along concerns that needed attention in our room but the attendant was not interested and did not ask what they were! The receipt she printed for me was bogus, computer generated with all false information except my name, address and phone. The attendant stated it was due to 3rd party booking and I should have booked directly. We travel and stop when tired…not knowing where we will be so this method allows us to see what is available when we get to wherever for the night. Choice Hotels, you can do better. And now we now we can choose better than Choice Hotels.

In town for weekend of Cardinals games. I don’t know what rooms these negative reviews have had, but our room was wonderful. It was clean, beds were comfy, shower had decent pressure, tv and air conditioner both worked. Breakfast area could use another table and chairs, but that’s just being picky. Breakfast was standard - waffles, bagels, cereal, some hot foods like eggs and sausage. People at the desk were friendly. The reviews griping about the $100 deposit need to read all the way to the bottom of the page on hotels.com because it is listed in extra fees. They do not do housekeeping if you stay 2 nights unless you ask, but that is also posted at check in. I got extra towels the 2nd day with no problems. We will stay here again! Also easy to get to public transport to get to Busch stadium.

Do not like having to put down a $100 deposit, which won’t be credited back for who knows how long. Receptionist said 2-3 days(she thinks). Not her fault, just company policy. Terrible policy!!!

Staff and service was good. Nice property, great potential but cleaning was sub-par. Lobby was nice and bright. Room was a good size. Room appeared to have not much cleaning. Sheets looked questionable, did not lay on them. Bathroom appeared to not have been swept (plastic wrapper, obvious long hair strands) and shower soap tray had used "crusty" bits of soap/other.

Quiet, clean was ther for St Louis trip. Very easy to get around and to Metro Link

Close to St. Louis. Easy highway access. Clean and affordable.

The property is located in a business area with a mall area and tons of other hotels. Just over the freeway is an entirely different story. We went to grab a quick bite at White Castle and that area is sketchy.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is right on a 6 lane highway and very noisy.

Easy access off the interstate. Worked well for what we needed.

Will be returning this spring to Illinois and staying at this hotel again. I would recommend staying there if you’re looking for something quite & Comfortable. It’s close to restaurants, the Mall and the Highway!!

I pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. Nice from adjacent interstate was disruptive to a good nights sleep. Better windows could do wonders for the sound proofing.

It was close to everything

The breakfast area was absolutely gross. Open bag of garbage leaking all over the floor with a wet mop right next to it, left right where you get food and eat. Woman came to clean the floor, and made even a bigger mess and left the open bag of trash. We will not be staying here again.

Asked for help with getting a missing piece of coffee maker in room and was told to wait until breakfast started. Proceeded to beeakfast to find cold eggs, meat and potatoes due to the heating element not working. Found 11 day old expired milk and ants in the breakfast area. Overall terrible experience and wouldn't recommend.

We arrived late in the evening but the room was very clean and nice . The bed was very comfortable. I loved the sheets. Breakfast was very good and the lady at the desk was very pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast was sad, and an odd combination. Sausage patties and baked potatoes ? No eggs…. No bananas.

We had a nice stay over the weekend! Nice free breakfast, biscuits and gravy, cereal, eggs, waffles, sausage,yogurt, juice. Swimming pool open late. Nice staff!!

The room was clean. Pillows comfortable. Breakfast was lacking. No one maintaining it. I went down to eat at 9:40. Breakfast served until 10:30 on weekends. One bagel and 2 slices of bread left. Hot food cold (eggs, sausages, potatoes). Maybe why they were still there. Empty gravy. Brown shriveled oranges. No coffee cups

Bed are hard.. room was clean but the bathroom and shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months ! Breakfast was good and staff was really friendly and helpful. Booked room ahead of time and paid ahead of time. Got there and they wanted another 100$ for deposit. They should state that when u reserve soon and pay ahead of time cause what would have happened if I didn’t have the 100$ to cover the deposit? Would I have been asked to leave even though I already paid for my room?

Everything was clean from the lobby to my room and the breakfast was perfect with the yogurt, waffles, potatoes, and sausage links I always prefer the sausage links over the Patty's. The only thing I would suggest is more variety for the eggs, not everyone eats round eggs.
