Very little parking available and £10 per night. But on street parking a few minutes walk or 4pm to 10am on the square in front. Not a problem. Fabulous location, probably the best in Richmond town. Lovely characterful building. Pricy and breakfast extra. Greggs or Wetherspoons nearby! My issue was with a premium room, 205. One set of curtains couldn’t be opened or fully closed. And window couldn’t be opened due to lack of maintenance. Main problem was the mattress. Unbelievably bad. It was probably very soft when new but by now it was squashed to half its original thickness. Terrible sleep. I’ve had better mattresses in $10 Central American hostels. It’s 29 years since I last stayed and despite the staff denials the mattress felt like it had been in service for longer. Staff excuse ‘we don’t sleep here so didn’t know’. Not good enough. A simple room condition inspection would have identified that. Potentially great but do the maintenance.
