The “nonsmoking” room was full of ash stains and reeked of smoke and whatever terrible air freshener they used to attempt to cover that up. Because we arrived very late, and needed to be up early, I messaged the staff to let them know and never received any response. I did not sleep and we packed up knowing we could not stay another night. I stopped at the desk to leave our keys and explained the situation. I was told the manager was not in yet and she would call when she arrived. 5 1/2 hours later, my husband finally called the hotel and asked for the manager. Whoever answered the phone told him our reservation for the night was canceled and we were refunded for the coming night. He asked why the manager had not called. She then transferred him to the manager, who told us she was busy and had already refunded. She also said her staff had offered to move us to another room (not true). When my husband said no one even contacted us, she said, “Well, you stayed. Go ahead and write a review.” Terrible stay. Dirty hotel. Terrible customer service. Way too many choices in the area for this to be an option!!
