The Atrium Hotel on Third

Property stated they had restaurant and bar on-site and after checking in, I was told that neither were open, due to renovations.

We were very pleased with our room, but were very disappointed by the renovations being done and pool permanently closed. We were there for an anniversary trip and were under the impression we could swim. It was very disappointing that it said nothing about the pool.

Pool is permanently closed. Breakfast-meh. Not the safest neighborhood to take a walk in.

Hotel has been acquired by Hilton and is undergoing renovations. I have stayed here in the past and it was much nicer, but right now it doesn't cut it. The hot breakfast promised in the welcome email turned out to be bagels, bananas, apples, yogurt, milk, and cereal. They have stopped their hot breakfast during the transition. The Italian restaurant they had on site has closed. Water temp in shower was very difficult to adjust. During a rainstorm, water leaked from the window onto the window sill.

We had stayed here in August for a family gathering and loved it. This time, they are in the process of renovations, so the big, hot breakfast was not available - only bagels and cold cereal. The exercise room was not available - but we could go across the street and use the one at another hotel. The beautiful Italian restaurant was closed. All of this would have been good to know before we booked our stay.

Places should adjust their rates if they're under construction. No pool, no restaurant, no bar. The beds were extremely uncomfortable.

The facility was being remodeled. We did not know this when we booked the room. The facility should not have been open for customers. Dry wall was being installed or replaced. Efforts were clearly made to diminish the amount of dust in the air. That was an impossible task. The rooms simply should not have been rented. The attendants were gracious about changing our room location to one with less dust in the hallway. We would not have booked this location if we had known its condition.

Hotel is being remodeled. Every floor has construction that you have to walk through to get to your room. Also, there is no restaurant or lounge/bar. They are closed.

This hotel is currently in the midst of renovations to becoming a Doubletree. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Most disappointing is that due to this, the pool was closed. We got an atrium room and ended up on the first room of the floor with a horrible view. We were able to get the room changed that had a better view of the atrium. Breakfast was not a hot breakfast. Bagels, muffins, yogurt. Average hotel but clean with a friendly staff. Remodeled rooms look very nice but may raise prices.

Everything worked properly. The room was clean and everything was properly organized.

It was under construction which no big deal. Once in room found hair in bathroom floor on toilet and in the tub. The thermostat for air wasn't working properly so I asked for an extra blanket was told they didn't have any. And to top it off the room smelled like sour milk or baby throw up

Hotel room was nice, and not necessarily dirty, but maybe hadn’t been paid the most attention to by staff. Found an unopened condom laying on the floor in the room. And I also went to make a coffee in the room and found a dried up shred of lettuce on the cup lids as they are unwrapped and laying in the bottom of a organizer. Kinda makes me wonder what else they missed in cleaning. Breakfast is served in the morning, but most of the “hot” food was room temperature or cold. The room wasn’t necessarily dirty but hadn’t been properly and throughly sanitized and cleaned. Definitely could have room for improvement but not a horrible place overall.

Very noisy, walls were thin, hair in room. Didn’t smell clean.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean but the hotel was under renovation so not all aspects of the hotel were open……. Even with the construction the rooms were clean. The windows did leak in the rain but they had not been replaced yet. I would stay there again regardless.

This hotel was rated very high for being clean. WRONG! Bathroom was just disgusting hair balls in shower, urine on the toilet and floor sink had not been clean. Overall room was just mah. Very outdated, with some minimal efforts to look more up to date. Renovations were happening which was nice to see but poorly executed. Bed was just ok, room was dusty(due to renovations). Pillows are horrible, bring your own,

I asked to change rooms because the upolstery on the chair was quite dirty, the room rug needed shampooing long ago - very dirty - the bathroom was missing a tissue dispenser, and the hand soap, ect dispensers needed filling. The toilet handle also wasn't working properly. My second room was a bit better, but the carpet still needed shampooing and the sink/tub did not drain well. I understand this hotel is undergoing renovation, but rooms should still be welcoming and clean. I did appreciate the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bed was comfortable, but only 4 very small pillows for a king size bed looked kind of silly. Plus my room was not addressed, so I had to ask for another towel for my third day stay. The breakfast, yes it is "free," but could use some additional hot choices. The best part of the hotel is the lobby that is welcoming and the staff was helpful.

We had a second floor room but on the inside - our window was just facing into the atrium area so zero outside exposure. There was a carpet beetle in the shower which suggests there would be more. Just an uncomfortable stay.

The lobby has a lot of potential. It is very quiet. The rooms could use an upgrade for more relaxing space. There wasn’t a phone in the bedroom, and the tv was too small to see from the bed. The products in the bathroom are very cheap and harsh on the hair and skin, opting for paraben/phalates/silicone free products would make the experience nicer

Very dated building rooms are dated just OK

Not 1 single amenity was operational. 3 shuttered restaurants on property. Wifi would not allow my team and I to get any work done. Very poorly represented on Expedia.

Excellent welcome and service from front desk staff. Atrium facing rooms are noisy until around midnight.

Hotel under renovation with the smell of drywall in the air. Nice enough for a business related overnight trip, though. The bed was not very comfortable. Amenities were satisfactory. Decent morning coffee.

Summary- don't expect a super lot of greatness at the moment because of the remodel but they treated us well and it was clean. Looking forward to coming back, especially when the remodel is completed.

had to move from the first room dure to water leak from bathroom ceiling. Was upgraded to 4th floor mini suite and had no further problems

The place is under construction so I understand some of the inconveniences (no restuarant, power outrages, noise during the day) but apparently there is no housekeeping unless you leave, then they clean your room for the next guest. The covid pandemic somehow made it ok for hotels to cut down on basic services but we are well past that now. Housekeeping every other day would be nice. We had no lotion in the room when we got there so I had to ask for that. We needed more towels during our stay so I had to ask for that. As a hotel that is slightly more expensive then the neighboring hotels I really thought it would be a little better, service wise. The staff is very nice, though. The lobby is pretty and I guess being next to the convention center is a perk but not for us. Hopefully when the take over is complete with the major chain then things will improve.

We love staying here when we visit family in Quincy! Even thru the renovations, the entire staff is friendly and helpful, gals at the front desk are SO nice! Area around the hotel has great dining and drink options within walking distance as well as live music in the park in the summer!

Front desk staff was super friendly and the check in process was quick and easy. Nice, clean, quiet rooms. Very happy with the stay!

Pool is permanently closed. The room was average and okay. It was the front desk clerk that made the experience so bad. She was rude and condescending. Wouldn’t revisit because of this. The hotel itself seemed fine if you aren’t planning to enjoy swimming or customer service.

The staff is friendly every time we stay while on business trips.

Checkin personnel unable to locate prepaid reservation.Was duplicate charged 10/21. No manager over weekend Noise issue during night lasted 0100-0330 Guest service contact via room phone had busy signal on 2 calls When departed 10/23 Refund issue could not be resolved. Manager later did refund but did not contact me on phone or email 10/25, I called about refund & Ashley reported refund done. I inquired about if she tried to contact me 10/23-only a pause, no reply. I take that lack of contact attempt response as no. I gave her update that her email address on card was not "valid " via comcast.net service after correctly entering her address x2. Her response-"works fine down here". The phone number on card was valid & that's what I used to get confirmation of refund request I initiated on 10/21. The refund confirmation effort to contact me seems that a reveiw should be done that contacting guests that refund was done is greatly appreciated. From departure 10/23-10/25 I had no idea refund was issued. Small action, in deed, to contact guests post departure on remaining Atrium responsibility can not be understated. Most guests will appreciate update when it is done, as I do. Guests 10/21-22 Rm #205, Rm#225. This feedback is not intended to embarrass or cause trouble for those involved. Maybe, it will be beneficial in future guest checkin experience-no sour face

It is close to Veterans Home where I visit my uncle, come from out of state. This time my visit wasn't as pleasant, do to all the remodeling, they started 6:30AM talking in the halls. When remolding is being done at least put your customers either on a different floor or farther away from the workers & work being done. they did have plastic up.

We needed an overnight stay for a family event, and The Atrium fit the bill for us. It's not in the "nicest" part of town, but is right next to a performing arts center, and is mere blocks away from many cafe and restaurants in the downtown area. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the atrium area itself was spacious and welcoming.

Friendly staff, nice amenities. Close to down town. Shower pressure was poor but we enjoyed our stay.

Close to great restaurants

The bagel breakfast was so-so. I know it wasn't the hotels fault but there was excessive noise at the auto body shop late at night next to the hotel which kept us awake for several hours.

It's not too far from the Veterans Home where I visit family.

The complimentary breakfast was a disappointment. Only hot item were bagels or bread toasted. Cold Cereal.

Had a nice time. Quiet room. Hard to find these days. Really, the only thing about our stay that was below par was the breakfast! It was basically nonexistent! We left and went to Panera bread!

Tv and phone didn’t work which was a bummer because we wanted to watch a specific game that was televised on a screen bigger than a phone. The reviews on breakfast sounded good, it was however, not good. Bagels, no hot food. If you do chose the atrium, make sure you ask for one of the newer rooms
