Key Inn Roseville

They are remodeling so it is very messy. The rooms are bare bones - no wash cloths or hair dryers. The hotel staff is very friendly though.

Elevator didnt work had to climb 6 sets of stairs after a 12 hour days at the refinery

This hotel was not worth the money. They clearly have tried up update the building, but not well. Outside there was construction trash lying around, it had clearly been there for a while. The lobby was ok, but dingy. The elevator is very slow, and the door got stuck opening on us once. We mostly took the stairs after that, and we were on the 4th floor. (The hand rails in the stair well were not attached at the bottom on a couple of the flights.) There was often trash in the elevator as well. People stood outside smoking pot almost every time we came and went also, so the lobby and elevator often reeked of weed. Our room was clean enough, but both beds had cigarette burns in the covers. There were gnats flying around in the room, and a couple spiders as well. The shower did not work. They did fix that quickly once we went down and told them about it, but that shouldn't happen. The "breakfast" the listing says they had was oatmeal packets, a loaf of bread, some cereal, and a gallon of milk. The coffee tasted weird and we didn't drink it. There is no coffee in the rooms, so we bought mugs, bottled water, and instant coffee at the nearby Walmart. We tried to terminate our reservation early, but they were going to charge us for an extra day so we just stayed. Had I been traveling alone, I would not have felt safe there, but I wouldn't have been able to leave without paying for a room I wasn't staying in. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed in.

This is a Tun flown hotel. The TV didn’t work. The building maintenance h seems to have stopped years ago. No breakfast provided.

Good value for the money. The room was clean, the front desk staff were great, and the location is convenient. But some of the common areas (the elevator, the stairwell, and the second-floor hallway) were dirty.

I'm pretty used to like Holiday Inn suites but this room was also prob $100 less. Issues: Elevator was disgusting with dried fluids on walls. Rooms have plastic plank flooring. Sink didn't drain in bathroom. There were two usable outlets in the room, one of which we had to move the bed to get to. The outlets barley had enough tension to hold the plug in the wall. It was deffinately good enough to check in at 1am and out at 9am like we did and for $90 bucks, it was hard to argue.

The area is not bad but the hotel is poorly maintained - there are Renovations going on and we were told our room was recently renovated however the tv in the room did not work and was not a smart TV. Only one towel was provided to both of us and when we asked for towels we were told we had to go pick them up downstairs because there was no staff to bring them to us. The bathroom was very dirty with hair and dirt in corners and a vent right by the shower had spider webs. The elevator barely works (we were told Sometimes it doesn’t work) and the premises are poorly maintained. Everything dirty. We didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on the bed but didn’t have any other options. I would not stay at this place

Room wasn’t clean. Found used condom by bed. Towels had hair on them. This place shouldn’t be on Expedia.

The room was dirty and was in a deplorable condition. Urine on the floor in the bathroom, tub covered with dirt residue and the sink had scum and hair. Tried to address the room issue with the management and was assured the room would be cleaned. An attempt to clean the room occurred on the last day of our stay and when checking out was charged the full amount. Management disregarded the follow up emails and phone calls. Facility and management not professional and not reputable. Stay Away!

Everything was filthy, broke, stained, spiders and spider webs in all the corners. Between the striped carpet, the avacado green chairs and a bed spread that looks like something my grandmother would own it was like stepping straight into 1970's hood. The man working the front desk didn't have a clue what he was doing. Only one electric outlet worked in my whole room and there was no phone in the room. Also the whole place smells like cigarettes. This place is a joke.

First room we got has body hair on the sheet, so we ask to Cheang room. everting is dirty, breakfast is empty.

The hotel was NOT clean. A large bug scurried across the tv when I turned it on. I’ve NEVER had pillows that were that awful. I left at 2am. The hotel was truly not a place I felt comfortable.

We ended up leaving because there was mold on the beds and cigarettes in our “cleaned room”

I read the reviews and they were pretty much right on. Water pressure in shower was barely there at all...very difficult showering that way. Carpet was very dirty (but it was a smoking room.TV had 5 channels. But there was clean sheets and towels daily. Bed was fine as well.

Luckily I only had to stay 1 night, but the property is so run down. The elevator had spit and spills on the floor, my TV had a crack going down the middle, my shower didn’t have hot water, and overall the hotel itself was so dirty.

It is close to I35 so that is good Property has many problems with needed repairs and uncleanliness. I would never stay there again. I am grateful we had the basics but worried about our safety. Deadbolt did not work. 2 live hornets in room. Evidence of previous bed bug problem. Sketchy breakfast with no one monitoring cleaning and supplies. Thankful we survived and so happy to leave.

My restroom sink was leaking, the wifi barely worked at all, only 3 - 5 available tv channels, my tv would randomly turn on in the middle of the night, & my smoke alarm would also randomly turn on & beep

They were renovating. The front desk was very accommodating. Wifi dint work really well at the top floor

This location was obviously an old Days Inn since the placard on the inside of the guest room door is a Days Inn placard. The elevator wasn't working properly. The chain on the inside of the door had no place to secure it. The faucet wasn't securely attached. The shower was stained and the gel coat was worn off the acrylic. The toilet tank leaked, causing water to run off and on all night. There was a rack to hang clothes. But there were no hangers. Overall, the property is in bad need of repair. One gets the feeling Days Inn moved out years ago and the building was just taken over and opened without any assessment of need. On a positive note, the staff I encountered were polite and helpful. Rates were low, although they did charge a $100 damage deposit.

The staff at check in was really friendly and helpful and knew about the whole area. I don’t like one down it is inside. It’s very old and moldy.

I was nervous to stay here after seeing some of the reviews, but just as a place to sleep it was fine. Bed was clean and comfortable aside from the pillows. It was under construction so I’m not sure if that had any effect on the conditions or not, but the floors weren’t very clean. Shower knob was broken so it only had one temperature and water pressure was very weak. Toilet flush also had a very weak pressure to it. There was no chain on the door so had to move something behind the door to feel safer about it. Again, it was fine because it was cheap and we only needed to sleep there. Would stay there again if I only needed somewhere to sleep. Not if I needed to spend a lot of time in the room/hotel.

Room was clean but really needs an update. walls are tearing, outlets caved in so i was unable to plug in my chargers. carpet to ripped it alot of parts, looked dirty. Bed was comfortable but pillows definitely need to be changed out, along with the sheets and blankets since they had holes in them. No bugs but the smell of cigarettes fills the halls, i didnt know this hotel has smoking rooms so that was disappointing to know those still existed. Bathroom had the most problems, the toilet wouldn't flush without alot effort, the tube was ripped apart, shower curtain doesnt look like it was ever changed. wouldn't be possible to take a bath because water came out the faucet lightly so it would take to long and the drain open. But hey they got really hot water so thats a plus for showers.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was always someone behind the front desk and house keeping was very friendly and available to assist me with any request. The maintenance workers were very responsive and knowledgeable and the customer service was exceptional. I was always met with a smile and never felt like my needs were unimportant. All of my requests weather it was about my room or parking or payment options were always met in a professional way. I would recommend that anyone that is needing a quality retreat for a great price to stay here at the newly renovated Key Inn of Roseville.

The room was okay but the staff guy at front desk was rude.

A week before our stay I called about getting a rollaway, and was told that I have to ask the day of. The day of comes, and I can call about how late check in is and ask about a rollaway and am told they’ve never had those. So we were short one space for a kiddo to sleep but the front desk gal was super nice and moved us to a bit bigger room, and extra blankets to let her set up a sleeping pad on the floor. The breakfast offerings were meh at best but it could be seen as better than nothing. It was kind of dirty and unfurnished in there-a little decorating and better wipe downs would make a huge difference. I was impressed with the overall air of modern touches and updates in a building that seems a bit older. The price was great, I got it cheaper than walk-in. If I only needed just sleeping accommodations again I would consider this hotel again!

I can never get my room cleaned or a towel. Like I stay for a week and get two clean towelsy whole stay. And if you miss house cleaning because they speed by once you won't get anything at all because they can't even understand your English.and they always tell u no.

Was greeted immediately with rude staff, does not look like the pictures. Hotel itself was dirty, we had to constantly get our cards redone because they would stop working every night. Electrical issues, beds were uncomfy, the breakfast was laughable, furniture was rundown and scratched up. Elevator constantly stunk and the hotel smelt like weed majority of the time. Lots of shady figures hang around there. But hey, my guests and I got fun shows when we watched cops constantly go through there.

The staff was poor and went against what the other said and I cost me 2 hours of driving, and $5 to even be able to get my room. Just all around rude and unfriendly.

I have been going there for almost 10 weeks and they have gotten use to my presence. The owner is a great person and the staff are ready to help as much as they can. The place its self needs some work but worth the stay if I keep coming back.

Staff were helpful with the questions I asked. I loved that the stores like Walmart and a restaurants were close by which made for a great little walk. Also the beds were comfortable didn't have to change rooms and it was quiet which is helpful when wanting quiet time

Kind of a shoddy area

If you’re looking for a budget, Motel in Roseville, this is probably the best one as long as you don’t have a pet. Staff was very friendly worked with us to find the right room. They’re doing renovations right now so it’s a little crazy so I won’t mark them down at all for that because to me it shows that they’re willing to put effort into the property if you’re on a budget You can’t really beat it close to a Walmart close to shopping close to the freeway right in between Minneapolis and St. Paul, no real complaint.

We drove up and the first thing was a gal hollering she needed help and needed a ride to downtown Minneapolis and she got really mad when we weren't able to. Not the best location if you want to feel safe.

As soon as we pulled in there was trash in the parking lot and people looked sketchy. Going inside rooms were not closed it smells like weed. A man put his arms around me. It was scary we were afraid.

Definitely needs some updates to the property. Like curtains that fit on the window so it’s not full sunlight at 5 AM. The room was decent. The bathroom was not cleaned very well. Breakfast included is Walmart donuts, and juice. But the staff was nice check in and out was smooth, Great location

The front desk guy was very nice and helpful the room wasnt cleaned entirely the remotes didnt work for the tv bath tub felt like i was going to fall thru it when i took a shower trash under night stand from previous guest housekeeping needs to do better beds were hard and stiff breakfast didnt have anything besides toast or cereal wouldnt recommend staying there and wont be staying there again

It was what I expected for the price. Front desk was frendly. Breakfast was minimal.

This place is completely run down. The elevator buttons were so worn they were all white with no numbers. The bathtub was a chipped mess. The walls had been patched and not painted. The headband had a chunk taken out of it. The mattress was very old and creaked. There was one bath towel and one hand towel only. The “included” breakfast was: white bread to toast, Hostess mini donuts (set of 3) or oatmeal packets. I tried the coffee and it came out as water from the spigot. I understand they are beginning to remodel so check before you go.

The continental breakfast was toast, donettes, and apple juice. The shower was moldy, the room smelled, the key didn’t work so I had to keep going to the front desk to help me get into the room. The refrigerator was moldy and didn’t work, the microwave didn’t work. The staff was nice enough, that is why I gave it a 1.
