Pool area was not good and hot tub did not work

Couldn't get any hot water in room.Talked to guy at desk,he said you have to let water run for a while,which I did,but it didnt make a difference.We paid extra for the spa tub which we couldnt use because of no hot water.Pool area was disgusting,ceiling leaking,jacuzzi broken,wall and windows had red slime(algae) all over it,and both pool restrooms had out of order signs on it.Free morning breakfast was disgusting,eggs were gross,the sausage was actually sliced hot dogs and orange juice was nasty tasting.Worst hotel experience ever.

Elevator was broken for a while and it didn't seem like there was an urgency to fix it, meanwhile guests have to lug the luggage 2 or in my case 3 floors up.

The elevator was dirty. Hallways not vacuumed. Toilet backed up. exercise equipment broken. Had to replace key card several times elevator broke down. Hole in wall in room. Floor not vaccumed. Outside had trash blown around.

I booked this place for the pool and pool was closed. Kind of disappointed.

The hotel was dirty and smelled bad. the pool was dirty and the hot tub was not working and also dirty, bathrooms was really nasty at the pool. The gym equipment was broken and it was trash all over the floor. the room wasn't even cleaned properly and the some of the towels was stained it also was a few stains on the bed. This was the worst hotel i ever been to and its a grave yard in front and behind them that all you see when you look out the window. Those pictures they have up must be old asf because the hotel does not look like that

The hotel lobby and common areas were dirty. The pool was closed for maintence and the small fitness room was disgusting. There was juice boxes and garbage all over and doesn’t look it has been cleaned in weeks. Breakfast was “ok” Room itself was nice and clean and comfortable. If you just need a cheap room to sleep this would work.

I really like my stay, even doe hot tub was out of order

We stayed on the 3rd floor and the elevator was stop working for two days

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I never make reviews but there were BLOOD STAINS all over the carpet, on the couch, dirt everywhere, and my view was a cemetery which is creepy in itself. When I got back at 11 or so the police were surrounding the hotel trying to find a man that was causing problems that wasn’t even staying at the hotel. Do not recommend don’t ever come here

Very dirty and no towels

Smells like piss and very dirty. Had to buy a plug in air freshener it smelled so bad. Sheets had stains on them. Just absolutely disgusting and will NEVER stay again. EVER.

Lobby carpet very dirty. Rooms were not cleaned to my expectations. Requested room change. Moved from first floor to third floor. Big rust spot in tub with no shower mat. Tub very slippery. Requested extra floor mat to put in tub to help prevent falls. Stains on both bed comforters. Looked like blood stains. Bed sheets smelled.

Room was very weathered, long red hair in sink, smell in room, broken picture on the wall. Waited for elevator for several minutes only 3 floors in hotel- there was something sticky on the floor, inside the elevator. Wouldn’t recommend

Our room was dirty. There was hair clippings all over the bathroom- on the ice bucket and soap, on the towels, stuck to the shower walls. The toilet had dried pee on it. The mirror had kiss marks. When i pulled back the bed sheet, there were wash clothes in the bed so the sheets were not clean. I asked for the clean the bathroom and came back to the same mess. I asked to switch rooms and they let me see a vacant room that was also dirty! This one had dirty counters, dried leaves and discarded jewelry on the floor, and mold growing on the bedframe where it looked like someone had used it as a toilet. We checked out and found a different hotel at 11:30pm. The staff wasnt polite or apologetic about the condition of the rooms.

ABSOLUTELY FILTHY!!!! Had room 202. Cracked toilet seat. Blue residue on toilet seat. Grime in shower tub. LITTLE TREE AIR FRESHENER STICKING OUT OF CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT!!! Nasty hairball on floor. The stairwells and floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years. DEFINITELY DOES NOT DESERVE THE WYNDAM TITLE!!!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!

This hotel was AWFUL. I would never recommend to someone. The check in process was smooth, but once we got into the room, we noticed there was dirt on the bed sheets. I called down to the front desk to ask if roomkeeping would be able to change them. The receptionist was trying to push towards me changing the sheets myself. I continued to push for housekeeping. I was told it would take a while because housekeeping was on the first floor and we were on the third. He finally agreed to send housekeeping. He then called back and asked what was wrong with the room, and rudely commented that housekeeping was coming. My sister was looking around the room and noticed there was a foul smell. I walked over and bent down, and noticed the carpet was soaked, mold was on the baseboards, and the carpets had not been vacuumed. The fridge had dirt in it, and the microwave had also had a foul smell that filled the room. We had packed our bags and booked at a different hotel. During the checkout process, I requested my money back due to the state of the hotel room. The receptionist continued to state that the room had been cleaned prior to our stay and that he will send someone up there to check. He stated that if it was clean and resellable as is, they would give our money back. I explained again that the room would need to be cleaned majorly before reselling, not due to our faults. He argued and finally gave my money back after being unkind, rude, and snotty. I will not return to this hotel.

Property was fine, but very dirty. Common areas like stairwells, hallways and lobby bathroom were very dirty. Our room was fine. Would not stay here again.

Pictures on the website are a far cry from reality. Limited food bar, no fruit, only apple juice. Waffles only, no toast, yogurt. Carpets were dirty and smells. Never going back!

Everything was good except my hot tub wouldn’t keep water in it so tht was a bummer but other then tht everything was great!

Hotel seemed clean. Rooms were tired and in desperate need of remodeling. Not enouth pillows or towels for everyone in our group.

Apparently no maintenance man available to repair our broken door hinges. Had to lift up the room entry door to get it to close and lock.

Very noisy- heard tvs, footsteps above and hallway racket. Walls seem very thin. Smelled smokers. Bathroom had mold in shower. Needs many upgrades. Unfortunately we would not recommend.

The Front desk rep was nice but there were times when you went down and she was taking more smoke breaks than she was at her post. The Room was neat but it wasn't very clean. You see the toilet seat has spots on it due to how old it was. The ceiling looked like it had water damage and the walls looked like they fixed it but failed to paint it to look good they just left the chalk on it. Breakfast was a joke. They had either two or three of everything when it came to bagels, fruit and yogurt. They didn't have a variety of milk just two percent in a container like we are at home.

First couple days wasn’t to bad. The weekend was ok. When I came to weekdays. Serivice was almost non existent. We had a reoccurring problem with our door keys that needed to be reset two or three times a day. My extension cord was stolen on our last day. I believe it to be the hotel personnel picked it up. While I was away. But since I left a day early they didn’t want to refund my last day stay. Plus they hadn’t seen my cord. Over all it was a very poor experience. The hallways smelled like weed. The ac didn’t work in building, but was on in the rooms. The cleaning crew did a very good job in the rooms. They only have so much to work with.

Beware! So I thought I had done my research on the hotels in the area. We were visiting family and we wanted to stay at a decent hotel. We paid just over $100 for the night. I thought since it was a Wingate by Wyndham it was a good deal… wrong! This hotel is worth at the most $49.99 a night. It seems like it’s being held together by duck tape as you can see from the pictures. The walls are paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING from the hallways, rooms next door and good luck sleeping if you’re on the bottom floor because you’ll hear stopping from the room above. It was a nightmare.

The front desk staff was nice however when checking in I had to give my card for a $50 security deposit and was told by the person checking me in I had to give back my card when checking out so they could return the $50 deposit… very odd because I’ve never heard that one before. When checking out there was a different front desk person and they told me no they did not need my card the deposit would go back automatically which is how it should be and usually is, so that was interesting, not sure what the first desk persons plan was. The hotel needs a deep clean, repairs, and a fresh coat of paint. The beds and towels were clean but the floors were gross. We had a king bed room with a jacuzzi and the jacuzzi was not very inviting. I would not stay here again but there aren’t many nicer options in the area so it had to do for the night. The walls in the rooms are thin so you can hear just about anything lol. I thought it was over priced for what I got.

The bathroon lock was missing and the tub was not clean and had stains on it. I did not know hat the stains were and was not willing to find out. The shower hwad wqsnt fully on and began spraying all over the wall and and ceiling when turbed on

I needed to check in early to get ready for a wedding and the desk clerks were so accommodating and helpful for me to do this. Clean room, quiet night sleep and great air for this hot hot day. Enjoyed this stay...breakfast good too!

The young man at the front desk was absolutely the kind of person you want representing your company. Very kind and thoughtful. Should think about giving him his own unit to run

very poor service

Horrible experience, stood at the front desk for almost 10mins with no one around. We could see staff in a room in the security monitor. My partner had to go around the corner to ask the 2 employees in the back office if someone could help us. He was rude, gave us zero information on the facility. We got to our room, which wasnt very clean. The glass in the picture on the wall was broken. The entire place smelled of smoke and body odor. People were wandering the halls carrying drinks in their pjs at 3 in the afternoon like they lived there. I asked for my money back and was told i could only get the 2nd and 3rd night refunded. I have not seen this refund processed yet.

The only issue is the time that it takes to get my $50 deposit returned. Deposit was paid on the 18th of August, it's now the 24th of August and still not returned.

It was ok, some shady characters around

The rooms could you some upgrades and the rooms smelled bad when the carpet got wet from pool water and it should be a disclosure that the hotel is right next to a cemetery my daughter had nightmares all night

Close to and easy on and off the highway for travel stop.

Had a cemetery right outside our window felt uncomfortable the whole entire time. My kids couldn’t sleep had loud tenants. Inside of the building reported it to the front desk did nothing would like my money back actually didn’t have much more money to move around on the trip, but that’s the only reason I continue to stay at the Wingate whatever you wanna call it heard gunshots Just a very horrible experience would not ever recommend anyone staying there if I would’ve had more money I would’ve upgraded and moved to a different hotel

It was okay for fishing with the guys but I’d never stay there with my wife.

I like that it was quiet and convenient

The hotel served my purpose but it could have been better. The room rate was fair and it was in good condition in general. The furniture was nice. The bed linen and towels were fresh. Unfortunately, a repaired hole behind the entry door was a detractor. It could have been done better. The hotel location is very good since it’s near shopping, restaurants, and I-94. However, the breakfast was subpar albeit the coffee was good. The staff was friendly and professional, and they quickly responded to our requests. When the coffee containers were empty at the end of a breakfast period, a staff member kindly made a pot to accommodate me. I really appreciated her effort. In addition, our room air conditioner had a leak which dampened the carpet. Maintenance immediately fixed the problem to our satisfaction. The hotel has potential but requires attention. For the interior common area, The foyer felt like a dungeon when the ceiling lights were off. The lighting should remain on to make the area more inviting. The refrigerator and elevator really need cleaning. For the exterior, the grass needs cutting, edging, and treated for weeds. Weeds along the curb, sidewalk, and pavement cracks should be removed. Lastly, the yellow paint along the curb needs a new coat.

This property was sketchy and in terribble neighbourhood. Stay safe by staying home

I’m a residential maid and was definitely not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. There was hair on the bathroom floor, back of the toilet. The tub was dirty, none of the table or counter surfaces were clean. There was a spit wad on artwork in the bathroom. Toothpaste glob on the bathroom mirror. The fitted sheet of one bed was inside out and not fully covering the mattress. As far as the amenities.. the breakfast was decent. I loved the diy waffle maker station. The hot tub was out of service. The gym was closed. Online checkout time is listed as noon yet, it’s actually 11 am. The staff was very personable and friendly.

They had plenty of rooms available but would not allow us to drop our items in the room a couple hours early, as we were trying to get to a funeral service that began 1 hr prior to regular check-in. The cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best. The pool appeared dirty and jacuzzi was out of service. The beds were VERY comfortable and appeared clean. The breakfast and morning coffee was spot on

Motel was showing its age and the level of cleanliness was not top notch. Breakfast was not the best that we have enjoyed at other facilities in this class.

Photos were deceptive. No hot tub, dirty, cereal and bagels only for breakfast.

Room/bed was comfortable, linens clean. Concerns: Standing lamp base was dust-covered, smeared with something (lotion?), required me to clean it. Nightstand likewise needed food smear wiped. Other surfaces seemed clean. Tub shower curtain-holder was falling halfway out of the wall (loose screws?)...Reported to front desk. Paint peeling on tub wall. Inside of bathroom door unsightly from fading paint/woodstain. At morning breakfast room there was water on the floor in many spots (from barefoot swimmers??). When we told the breakfast attendant that there was water that needed mopping, her reply (though cheerful) was: "Oh, trust me, I'll be doing plenty of mopping when breakfast is over. If I mop it now, there will just be more water spilled for me to mop up again." Of course, our concern was that someone might slip on the water on this potentially slick surface. The hot food was reasonably well-stocked, but other items were in meager supply: no bread for toast, few bagels/muffins, one or two mandarin oranges. Bagel quality substandard. We were disappointed that the hot tub was "broken", with no indication of when it might get fixed. The impression was that it had been broken for some time. A year ago we had a similarly disappointing experience with the Wyndham in Billings, Montana (dirty stairwells and hallways with dirty wet rags, dated furnishings, rusty lamp base, cramped breakfast area with extra furnishings shoved into fireplace area. ) Wyndham used to be better.

Pay attention to detail and breakfast cleanliness.

This place is a joke. The breakfast bar was not what the website shows! Hallway carpets smell! Breakfast was only 3 cereals and waffles and bagels every day. No OJ , no fruit, no yogurt. It appears that this hotel rents to homeless. Had to beg for room to be cleaned and new towels. I have pictures of the real kitchen vs. what is on the website. Overall, a low budget hotel, not what I expected from Wyndham which also owns LaQuinta. I stayed at a LaQuinta 2 weeks ago and found that location excellent.

Staff was very cold and rude. The “free breakfast” was supposed to start at 6:30… at 6:40 I asked why there was nothing there… the staff person said “it’s there” and walked away… there was maybe 3 bagels, a half jug of water … and nothing else
