One of the 2 elevators were broken. We got stuck on the other one and had to use the emergency call box for them to let us out. The hotel is in great need of repairs. Holes in several walls. Ladies bathroom had a hole in the tile wall that was 18” x 24” that was cover with a piece of wood. Would never recommend this location.

Beds were comfortable, wasn’t the cleanest place. Elevator was sketchy, and we booked with hopes of a pool, but even though the pool was supposed to be open it wasn’t. Because of a large event in the area it was too late to find someone new once we got there. Super disappointed

Went for a family emergency, so I was looking for a place to lay my head. Got into the room, no artwork on the walls, no toilet paper, a huge burn mark on the carpet from the iron. Everyday I had to get my key reprogrammed 2-3 times(each time I went to or from). The staff overall was friendly, but you can tell they are doing upgrades to the property. No fitness center as noted on their site, the pool was closed. I’d stay here again, but I’d hope they fix some stuff too.

This property is mostly “under construction/renovation.” Therefore, most of the facilities seen on first floor are inaccessible or marginally usable, including a bank of 3 elevators. The large breakfast area had scant food available, an “out of order” sign at the juice machine, 1 barely warm urn of coffee, and 2 areas of black mold noted on the ceiling above the waffle maker. The walls were in various levels of construction and didn’t reach the ceiling along one long wall. The bar/lounge was also unavailable. This is an aging property that has been remodeled several times, as witnessed by the appearance of the room. The bed and bathroom were clean. The young man who was at the front desk in the reception area (which was nicely done, and clean) on the 3-11 shift was very polite and helpful. There was no remote in our room and when I went to the front desk to get one, the one I was given didn’t work. When the young man was notified he brought another to our room that did work with the tv. At this point I would recommend that this not be your first choice as a destination until the remodeling and construction is completed.

All ice machines were not working. When I told the lazy girl at the front desk, she said," the manager said the ice machine on the 2nd floor was working." I told her I was just there and it is not working. Then I asked for a couple chilled waters. She said I had to buy them. I told her to keep the water, keep the ice, we are NEVER staying at these hotels again. The shower curtain was bent and loose. The restroom fan was not working. It was a great lil get away. The front desk was on point!! Very friendly and welcoming 🙂 The pool was very inviting, clean and comfy with pool towels outside for convience. The restaurant inside the hotel has closed but Johnny's pizza just a cpl steps away is so worth the walk! The hotel looks like its been updated recently but needs some love and attention to the little things. All the doors were dirty with hand prints all the way down the hall. And my door did not close without me making sure the mechanism was engaged to lock when i left. Otherwise my door was completely open and unlocked. I will say i would stay again all and all 6 outta 10.

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The outside trash can was over flowing with garbage and on the ground. The hotel lobby was old looking and walls were scuffed up. The elevator was filthy with water all over the floor and trash on the floor. The other elevator was out of order. The carpet in the room has multiple stains everywhere and was very dirty. There was debris and trash behind the night stands. All of furniture was old and scuffed up. The top lock on the door was busted. The dresser with the TV on it wasn't dusted and was dirty. The air conditioner was very loud. The noise level was terrible. There is no insulation in the walls. This hotel needs a total remodel or tear down. It was overall nasty, smelly and very old looking. The person who gave me my room keys was nice, but even she said the hotel was in bad shape.

When I fought it they said there was no way for them to compensate me because I booked through a third party.

The dust from construction covered everything. There’s a layer of white dust on the walls, floor, doors. Everywhere. And no attempt to clean it up or ventilate the area. If I didn’t have such a tight schedule I would not have stayed a minute.

This was the worst stay I have ever experienced in a dated hotel that needs to be demolished and rebuilt. 1) Pressure washing outside building causing dirt flying around 2) At breakfast, the hotel said they ran out of sausages, yogurt, and orange juice. There was a grocery a few blocks away. GO BUY WHAT YOU NEED!!!! 3) I ask upon check in to have my room service each day. It was never serviced at all. They called me and I said I would be leaving at 11:30am for a meeting. Housekeeping NEVER cleaned the room. 4) Dust is an inch thick on the light grate in the bathroom. It’s never been vacuumed. 5) There is a constant noise coming out of the wall HVAC. 6) The TV is horrible. Lots of channels on the provided channel line up but the remote doesn’t allow access to them. 7) To end a horrible hotel stay on a positive note, the bed pillows were comfortable, there was lots of instant hot water, and the water pressure was great. However, I would never stay here again and I’m coming back to Gainsville in February ’25. I’ll be staying just down the block.

If you never read and follow a review in your life, PLEASE listen to this one. My family were in town for a Vollyball tournament and we just needed a place for 2 nights. Immediately upon checking in we noticed how dated the hotel was. Fine no problem, we got to our room and the smell from the bathroom was just awful. We had to change rooms. The new room had clean sheets but the furniture was old and peeling. Soap containers with no soap. We turned on the water for showers and rusty water came out! The next morning we headed down for “free breakfast” but got stuck on the broken elevator. The staff member had to reset the elevator control. Breakfast included powdered eggs, hard sausage, cereal with no milk and juice machine broken. We asked for housekeeping services which never happened. HAD to keep the hotel because the prices were too high at other hotels for last minute booking. I am a real person. Today is December 8th, 2024. Please reconsider if you re considering this place. Less expensive does not equal better. Pay the extra for another hotel because nothing beats the safety and comfort of your family.

The property was clean and the staff was nice. Any request I had they quickly addressed. I had a good stay there. However, they property was not up to date in regards with being able to charge electronic devices. They only had 2 plugs for electronic devices (2 plugs are not enough if more than one person is staying in the room.) in which you had to have a base on your charger to plug in your device. They did not have where you could just plug in the end of your charger without the base to charge. They need to add a charging station to each room.

Second time staying there in the last 2 weeks. Not bad for the price. Only issue was the A/C not cooling enough and a broken curtain and couldn’t shut to block the outside light. Renovations look a little bit slow.

The fire inspection on the levator was expire. One elevator was not working and the other broke down twice during our stay. There were exposed wires from the ac that could be dangerous for small children. There were stains on the carpet and trash was swept under the bed skirt. The WiFi did not work for most of our stay. The bathroom door only opened from inside so if you closed it you wouldn’t be able to get back in. We called to have it fixed but it never was. Hotel needs major maintenance

I checked in and she gave me a room so I went to it and first thing I noticed as soon as I opened the door the room smelt terrible and didn’t have couch in the room or a Roku tv . So I just went to the front desk again and just kindly asked Anna if there was any possible way she could replace me in another room just so I can use the Roku. I didn’t say anything about anything else bc I simple wanted to have the Roku tv in my room. This kind women said yes I can do that I’m just not sure which rooms have that for sure. I said I’ve stayed here two other times so I kno two doo just not sure which room number. So she kindly proceeded and found me a room that had what I asked for with no hesitation. I truly appreciated her willingness and kindness to go above and beyond for me. Sometimes it’s really just the little things in life that truly stand out and matter. Also we always pay for the late check out bc it’s genius and so thankful you all have that option for guests except we have had this happen twice to us. A little before one we will start loading our vehicle up and sometimes it may take one or more trip so we come back and try tonuse our key car and it doesn’t let us back in. I don’t kno maybe it’s supposed to be that way but just putting it out there mainly bc it just confuses me. But over all great stay and so far both of the employees I have talked with have been absolutely wonderful.

The stay was not great! Our door to our room did not close at all. When we tried to change rooms, the evening staff tried to put us in another room that happened to be occupied. The staff seemed to be high and did not even know they had rented out that room. Finally later they send someone to fix the door. The maintenance man seemed to think he had fixed the issue. He did get the door to close, however the lock on the door did not work or engage. We had previously told them of this issue as well. We could not keep our personal items in the room due to this. The hotel was very dirty, seemed like something or someone had urinated in the hall in the carpet, there was trash at alot of the doors, and people were spitting in the hallways on the floors as well. The first day there one of the only two elevators was not working, by the next day they were both out. The air in our room sounded like it was going out and it did not work all too great. The morning staff however was very apologetic. We were told by the evening "high" staff that we would receive $50 off our stay....... when we checked out our total did not reflect that, it was only about $40 off. Then when we left, we found that our truck had been badly doored and scratched. Not that, that was fault of the facility, but overall it was a terrible experience other than the morning staff. She was very sorry and tried to be helpful.

The property was clean and the staff was nice. Any request I had they quickly addressed. I had a good stay there. However, they property was not up to date in regards with being able to charge electronic devices. They only had 2 plugs for electronic devices (2 plugs are not enough if more than one person is staying in the room.) in which you had to have a base on your charger to plug in your device. They did not have where you could just plug in the end of your charger without the base to charge. They need to add a charging station to each room.

The hotel is currently going through renovation. JP and KK were very courteous, helpful, and professional. When looking over the initial room I was given, I found false eyelashes on the floor and it was apparent the carpet had not been vacuumed or cleaned in a very long time. KK quickly assigned me to a new room. This one was a little better, without carpet. However, the floor was dirty. Later that first evening, I found pieces of dog food on the floor. The room attendant swept and mopped the floor the second day. Left a lot of water on the floor. Had to use a towel to dry up the excess water so we didn't slip. When I got done, the white towel was practically black. They responded quickly when the toilet stopped working all of a sudden. Got it fixed in about 20 minutes. I was not able to move to a different hotel because my girlfriend and I were in town for her medical procedure and she was not able to move around a lot. Yes you get what you pay for but going through renovations should not take away from ensuring rooms are clean even at a basic level. I am sure this hotel will, one day, return to its old glory. Right now, its a rough work in progress.

The location is great if you wish to be in a central location, however, US 11/129 runs beside the hotel so all we heard all night were loud trucks and cars!!! We were thankful for the nice hot shower in the morning! Breakfast was non-existent. Juice was in a jug not a dispenser! Will choose another hotel for our next trip! JP was friendly at the desk! I appreciated his warm welcome!

This property is mostly “under construction/renovation.” Therefore, most of the facilities seen on first floor are inaccessible or marginally usable, including a bank of 3 elevators. The large breakfast area had scant food available, an “out of order” sign at the juice machine, 1 barely warm urn of coffee, and 2 areas of black mold noted on the ceiling above the waffle maker. The walls were in various levels of construction and didn’t reach the ceiling along one long wall. The bar/lounge was also unavailable. This is an aging property that has been remodeled several times, as witnessed by the appearance of the room. The bed and bathroom were clean. The young man who was at the front desk in the reception area (which was nicely done, and clean) on the 3-11 shift was very polite and helpful. There was no remote in our room and when I went to the front desk to get one, the one I was given didn’t work. When the young man was notified he brought another to our room that did work with the tv. At this point I would recommend that this not be your first choice as a destination until the remodeling and construction is completed.

Awful The elevator was place out of order and my room was in the third floor. Room furniture is beaten up and the carpet is nasty dirty. Pillows fill lumpy. Best part was the "included breakfast", which was rotten bananas. a gallon of Fruit punch and milk from Walmart. Juice Dispenser machine wasn't work. Cheap stay, close to everything, it was quiet, nice staff. Only problem is breakfast ends too early so we didn't make it in time. Breakfast should be open later giving people time to make it. Other than that it was an ok stay.

The outside area was beautiful, nice walkways, trees for shade, sitting area outside my room with chairs and view of the pool, which unfortunately was not open during my stay. Breakfast was adequate - cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, hot water, bananas. No ketchup/hot sauce or yogurt.

Wemt to check in and they had given my room to someone else. Finally fot into a comparable room. Walked into room turned on the light switch. No lights. Had to use phone flash light to find a lamp it didn’t work. Had to find another lamp it worked. Tried to turn on the Tv wouldn't power on. Cheked power strip it was on. Tried to turn tv on mabually still wouldn't come on. Absolutely ridiculous. This place needs new management to teach people how to run a hotel.
