Siesta Motel

This property has no pool, tiki bar, or restaurant. It is a flop house advertised to stay. Expedia is working to make this right. We had the reservation for over a month. Someone should be monitoring these properties.

Nice patio area easy parking and great staff! Will definitely stay again next trip. Nice location to go north or south in the keys for day trips.

Was looking for the pool

Motel did not have facilities listed in expedia, i.e., pool, restaurant, bar. Motel was clean but dated. Could use some speuaing up.

Besides the place looking like there is not any effort in upkeep; the description of what was included is a complete lie, false advertising, fraud. There is not a pool and the "shared pool" they mention when you ask about the pool is 2.5 miles away at a bar/restaurant that anyone can use if you purchase something. There is no agreement between this hotel and the restaurant according to the restaurant. There also is no "sundeck" or "barbecue area" and it already comes with roommates...cockroaches.

Get a pool

There is no pool or bar as was advertised

room was way smaller then the pictures showed or description. was not the room on the picture. it was listed at 660 sq foot and the room including bath and kitchen area was about16x16. so less then 300 sq foot when you open the door the bed was right there, we were traveling with a young one and couldn't even bring the stroller inside the room because there wasn't enough space between the bed and wall to fit it. i asked if they were sure they gave us the correct room and they said yes. also there is NO pool on property. when we asked they told us to drive 4 miles down the road to a restaurant and if we buy drinks there we can use that pool.

The property was a good location. But when i booked the room travelocity had there was a swimming pool on site. There was no pool and that is one of the reasons i booked because i thought there was a pool. They need to remove it from the listing so no one else books wanting pool access.

What a great stay we had! It is a small motel with a big personality. Excellent customer service and easy access to everything in the area. Easy parking (white rocks). Can be challenging for motorcycles. Great water pressure and hot water. Stayed in Unit #B in the back. It was dated in some aspects, but very clean. No mildew smell. Has a great vibe to it. The other guests were cool too. Must be the atmosphere. Stay here!

Quite rundown, shower had lots of mildew, small corner room (much smaller than the pictures showed). No place to put luggage. The bed had a horrible sag in the middle. Yes, it rolled me closer to my spouse, but it wasn't nice to sleep on. All in all, , not a good stay. I don't recommend this motel.

For the price, it was great but couldn’t get past the idea that there were roaches inside of the unit. When expressed to the owner, declined a refund and basically was told that we had to deal with it. For the entire stay, we had to kill roaches. Just gross especially since we had food items. We had to keep the items in the car.

When pulling into the parking lot it seems like a nice little motel but when we entered our room we were shocked that it was the complete opposite. The walls were cracked and the paint was peeling we were so shocked we kinda made a joke of it saying some anniversary trip. We went about our day and came back to shower to realize the shower head was like a pressure washer that you couldn’t adjust and not to mention the mold growing on the shower curtain and the corners of the shower. We went to bed and the next day my wife said she was hot during the night so I looked at the ac and noticed the vents were pointed to the ceiling when I went to move them down I noticed all of the mold growing inside the vents. I instantly tried finding a different place to stay since my wife is pregnant and the condition of the place was no longer a joke and now a health hazard but due to the short notice every other place was booked so we were stuck there. For anyone going to stay there I would stay out of room number 6 because it’s a hazard

Best deal in the Florida Keys! Nothing fancy - but super clean and perfect for showering and sleeping. The staff is top notch!

We paid three times more than it would cost for a similar low-quality motel in New England. Florida Keys markup, I know. The place was not cleaned thoroughly (a lot of hair on the bathroom floor). The worst part: the suffocating disinfectant (probably Lisol) stunk. Toxic-? The window could not be opened because of the AC unit.

Looks lovely from outside but is dated inside. The place is clean enough but we did have cockroaches in the room. Shower area was very dated and mattress is doubled up which always is an indicator of age. With the same love inside as outside this place could be nice

We were pleasantly surprised being we knew we were staying at a Motel; I had taken towels and extra linens, which were not needed at all. The room was very clean. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and very attentive to anything we may need. It shows that it’s a place run with love.

The worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life. Dirty and full of cockroaches. Stained sheets and horrible beds. I had to get another hotel and leave that one even though I lost my money

Roaches were in the entire room

Shower plugged up and filled base of shower with water. Curtain covering window was about 8 to 10 inches shorter than the window allowing anyone outside to see into the room. There was blood smeared in inside of bathroom door, and the tv remote was sticky with who knows what!

It was clean and i liked there was a full sized refrigerator and freezer. No coffee pot. The room was OK but there were cracks in the walls and the bathroom sink drained really slow.

Older, cozy motel provided needs for 3 nights. Room was a little tight for both beds and kitchenette, but met our needs. Bathroom was fine and walk-in shower was nice, Only complaints we had was wi-fi was weak or non-existant and made difficult to do much on computer or even to stream any TV movies on TV. Beds felt lumpy by 3rd nite. Otherwise, was a good stay and check-in/out was easy.

Beds were good. AC works great! Staff is exceptionally good. Walls need painting, cleaning not great ( corners). But overall best rate in Marathon, but no pool!!!

Very dated, like stepping into a fifties motel room. Small and cramped. Noisy. Beds not comfortable, need to be replaced. Not enough electrical outlets for chargers. Microwave was not clean. Adequate TV service. Shower leaked, could not stop dripping. Charged more than posted price on Expedia due to an additional 4 percent credit card charge.

Very clean. Easy to book, check in, and check out. The proximity to the highway provides for some road noise during peak traffic hours, other than that it’s quiet. The walls are thin, so turn up the A/C so you don’t hear your neighbors.

Very old and warn out

This property has great potential, but money is not being allocated to maintenance. Walls, doors, ceiling beams , screens, etc are all in different levels of neglect. I know we’re have had a couple of bad storms, but it feels like the place is crumbling. On the bright side, it’s retro and really cute. 50’s style tile in the shower and bath area, knotty pine ceilings with beans, and terrazzo floor. The beds were really comfortable, plenty of linens available, a wide variety of Chanel’s on the tv, good wifi signal and a full sized refrigerator with a drip coffee pot and a microwave. There are no utensils ir dishes of any kind. So plan ahead. The airport is across the street, but we only heard on jet come in. It’s centrally located and a great bargain for the area. Personally, I know we will be back.

Full size fridge was great!! Good access, friendly staff. Felt like home. Little older but had the Keys feel. Hot shower. Fun to watch planes land and take off.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD OWNER INSULT REVIEWERS I made a reservation through Expedia, but I immediately noticed that the date was wrong after my credit card was charged, it may be due to a tech glitch or something. I called the motel right away to modify the date, but there was no response. I then contacted Expedia for help, but they were unable to reach anyone at the motel. I tried calling several times and also sent emails and text messages, but I still received no response. It wasn't until 72 hours later that the owner finally responded, stating that there would be no modification or refund. To make matters worse, I was charged more than the amount that was indicated on my receipt. The strange circumstances surrounding my reservation made me concerned about this place, and I decided to read some reviews. Unfortunately, I discovered that the worst thing is not that the motel is not up to par in terms of safety, hygiene, or overall condition, it is not the high cost tohundrd per night for a motel, it is the owner had been insulting all the guests who had left negative reviews! Feel free to check them all! That's scary to see! By posting this review, I already prepared for the owner to leave me feedback with insults as well. Expedia don’t let me post the truth. This reviews has been rejected 4x. Will never used This company again!

The staff was incredibly welcoming, I believe it was the owner who greeted me with a handshake and asked where we were from. They also bumped my family up to the larger room free of charge. Will use this for a cheap place to stay in Marathon again and highly recommend.

Easy check in

We arrived and jennifer introduced herself and got us checked in also left us know about different places we have never been to. We also met Marika They were amazing, cannot wait to go back.

We had an amazing time at this hotel... while it may not look like much from the outside, they more than make up for it with fantastic service. You can tell that they love their little slice of paradise and are happy to share it. I would stay there again every time i head to the keys. Definitely recommend.

Odd check-in procedure, office hours seem to be limited and random. But it was a nice stay, the staff, when I saw them, were friendly. Room was fine, a bit expensive for a small room and tiny bathroom, but everything in the Keys is expensive!

Staff was great, we got there late and they were super accommodating. It was worth the price and a cozy place to sleep.

The room door opened to the parking area..We had a key to open the door. When we left for a while we could not lock the door..We did not feel safe so we did not stay there. We left the key and a note to the owner because she closes her office at 2:00 in the afternoon. Later she called me and I tried to explain but she was outraged and would not listen. I would not recommend anyone stay there.

If you are looking for a Margaritaville/Kokomo vibe, then this place is definitely NOT for you. It is strictly no frills; just a place to shower and sleep. There is a Valero gas station next door where you can buy snacks and beer and such, but that's about it. It's an old-fashioned little roadside motel. However, my room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower and AC worked just fine. So if you just need an affordable (for the Keys) place to crash for a night or two, it'll do.

It is a very quaint and cozy motel. Very clean. It was very convenient to everything. Jennifer was so nice and so accommodating.

Good location and good rate

As this building has weathered many hurricanes and storms over its 64 years in existence, I feel it is very well kept. We stayed in one of the two efficiently rooms, with a working kitchen. 2 double beds, full sized fridge, 2 burner stove top and a Microwave. The fact that they let us know about small repairs they were in process of doing was a plus. When I pointed out an issue, they were going to have someone in to fix it immediately, but I said we were only there for a couple days, fix it when we left. The motel is 1 hour from Key West, and a short drive to Islamorada , across from the Marathon Airport, we were quite surprised that we didn’t notice the sound of planes landing, and traffic was muffled due to thickness of the walls. Overall a pleasant place to lay your head after a long day in The Keys :)

Nice overnight stay on way into Key West. Clean, good communication, bonus to have full size frig with freezer. Had all the necessities - hot shower, beds fine. We did not encounter bugs or mold, dust like other reviews. It is an old fifty style motel, and can’t expect more at this price point. The Keys are expensive. Owner/manager is from MI, so please support this business with kind words and recommendations. Midwesterners unite! She was very nice.

This place is precious! Vintage motel, with beautiful touches, like 1920's colorful bathroom tiles, & wooden ceiling beams. Nicely furnished, clean & comfortable. There was a full sized fridge & microwave, but no coffee.

I had a couple of nights at this friendly little motor inn...a genuine 1958 motel, well maintained step back into the past. Next to a Dunkin/Valero.
