Oh wow, perfect vacation and a real Tuscany atmosphere, the hotel is a magical old yet perfectly renovated property, the room was amazingly clean and equipped with everything we needed, the pool was open until 8pm and it’s never crowded, very peaceful area, almost like a fantasy movie, breakfast was great, especially the cheese , local pastries and coffee , the staff was lovely, very friendly and helpful, but the real deal was DINNER , I cannot say enough about the food and wine they make, everything is fresh and cooked to perfection, we had dinner there every night, you can even see the sunset while eating, BEAUTIFUL !! We highly recommend this hotel , thank you a million times for a perfect vacation 🙏

Beautiful location and hotel. Nice pool with amazing views. Restaurant for dining outside was stunning. Great wine selection. Service is slow but that’s an Italian thing! I would stay here again for sure. Only thing I would change is to add bar service at the pool!!

What a great property! We stayed in one of the rooms connected to the main building. We also got to see a room for three. Both were spacious. Decorated in tuscany country style. Bed was comfortable. Each room has it’s own AC. We were there in April so the AC worked great. Can’t speak for summer heat. The views of the Tuscany area were jaw dropping. It felt like we were in a villa not a hotel. Highly recommend. Breakfast was standard euro fare (1000% better than in the U.S.) with meats, cheeses, bacon, an amazing variety of croissants, etc. Pool on site. Restaurant on site that was simply outstanding. We went there several nights and each night had something different and spectacular. Reserve a table in the morning the day of. Easy drive to get here and close to amenities. However, car recommended to get around.

Very friendly hotel staff. Kept their restaurant open late for us weary travelers. There was no olive oil or wine tasting offered despite the website saying so which was confusing. Not really a farm stay, felt like more. 2-3 star hotel which happened to be in rural country. Did not feel like true agroturismo but the service, safety and quiet property were highlights

We’ve been touring Italy for two weeks now and the Belvedere San Leonino is by far my favorite of all the wonderful hotels we’ve stayed. Absolutely charming rooms, sprawling countryside grounds and expansive views, friendly staff, and a nice restaurant for dinner. I was hoping the tasting room was on site, but even better, it’s inside the wall of Castellina in Chianti — you don’t want to miss a tasting there! If I find my way back to Italy in the future, I will definitely return to Belvedere! Grazie Mille!

Har vært her for 3 år siden. Tror ikke menyen har endret seg og vi valgte å spise i nærheten. Litt slækk service ved poolen men veldig hyggelig betjening. Stedet er fantastisk koselig men trekker ned en del pga maten. Kunne vært en veldig enkel sak å ikke bare ha toscansk vri på alt.

The pictures of this property were so deceptive and it is not a castle in anyway. It’s a small property with a few rooms. The suite that they gave me was two bedroom, two bathroom, big spacious rooms but had a strong musty moldy smell. The best part of a stray was the breakfast the next day.

This hotel is a paradise for tranquility and peace. Located in an extremely beautiful area with surrounding views of the Tuscan wineries this beautiful, traditional and super clean hotel is everything one needs if they want to detach from the world. Congratulations especially to the cleaning ladies and the people who keep the grounds so pristine. The restaurant people are very nice and the food and wine are delicious… Irine drone reception is the best and oh breakfast is yum!!!

Terrible experience here. The electricity in the hotel did not work at all. Lights were flickering all day and night long. AC shuts off, TV and wifi would die and not work throughout the whole stay. They need to update this dated hotel. Very dissatisfied. completed ruined a would be calming few nights away with my partner....

Ficamos 4 noites para conhecer toda a região de Chianti. O local do hotel é lindo, bem antigo (que era o que queríamos) mas com o conforto da vida moderna. Decoração nos lembra uma fazenda, o restaurante é muito gostoso (serviço pode melhorar, às vezes lento às vezes esquecem os pedidos), mas não atrapalhou em nada nossa estadia. Colchão e travesseiros poderiam ser modernizados também. Café da manhã perfeito para nosso padrão

I don’t always write reviews, but in this case I just had to, cause I can’t recommend this absolutely beautiful place enough. I’ve been an avid traveller for 40 years, stayed in plenty of top hotels, and this place is easily in my top five of all time. The surroundings look like a postcard, the place itself is beyond idyllic, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Food was great too, especially the breakfast. The whole experience was magical, romantic and wonderful. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Also don’t miss a visit to the nearby little town of Castillina in Chianti. So cute! Plenty of wineries nearby too, including right up the road, ask for recommendations from the staff. We hope to be back someday!

Belvedere di San Leonino is Amazing. Yadda and Nadia are extremely welcoming. They made several recommendations for small towns and wineries to visit. The food at the restaurant is terrific. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. This place should be a 5 star hotel

Har vært her for 3 år siden. Tror ikke menyen har endret seg og vi valgte å spise i nærheten. Litt slækk service ved poolen men veldig hyggelig betjening. Stedet er fantastisk koselig men trekker ned en del pga maten. Kunne vært en veldig enkel sak å ikke bare ha toscansk vri på alt.

Our favourite spot during our Italy trip. We visited close by towns of Siena and San Gimignano during the day, hit the pool in the afternoon and dined on the patio as the sun went down over the valley.

This small hotel was lovely. The location is remote, but it’s a perfect base for traveling all around this part of Tuscany. The breakfast was wonderful -well worth the extra charge. We had dinner at the property one evening.The setting is beautiful and the food was excellent. The front desk staff was very helpful with anything we needed. I would come here again.

We’ve been touring Italy for two weeks now and the Belvedere San Leonino is by far my favorite of all the wonderful hotels we’ve stayed. Absolutely charming rooms, sprawling countryside grounds and expansive views, friendly staff, and a nice restaurant for dinner. I was hoping the tasting room was on site, but even better, it’s inside the wall of Castellina in Chianti — you don’t want to miss a tasting there! If I find my way back to Italy in the future, I will definitely return to Belvedere! Grazie Mille!

Ficamos 4 noites para conhecer toda a região de Chianti. O local do hotel é lindo, bem antigo (que era o que queríamos) mas com o conforto da vida moderna. Decoração nos lembra uma fazenda, o restaurante é muito gostoso (serviço pode melhorar, às vezes lento às vezes esquecem os pedidos), mas não atrapalhou em nada nossa estadia. Colchão e travesseiros poderiam ser modernizados também. Café da manhã perfeito para nosso padrão

I don’t always write reviews, but in this case I just had to, cause I can’t recommend this absolutely beautiful place enough. I’ve been an avid traveller for 40 years, stayed in plenty of top hotels, and this place is easily in my top five of all time. The surroundings look like a postcard, the place itself is beyond idyllic, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Food was great too, especially the breakfast. The whole experience was magical, romantic and wonderful. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Also don’t miss a visit to the nearby little town of Castillina in Chianti. So cute! Plenty of wineries nearby too, including right up the road, ask for recommendations from the staff. We hope to be back someday!

Oh wow, perfect vacation and a real Tuscany atmosphere, the hotel is a magical old yet perfectly renovated property, the room was amazingly clean and equipped with everything we needed, the pool was open until 8pm and it’s never crowded, very peaceful area, almost like a fantasy movie, breakfast was great, especially the cheese , local pastries and coffee , the staff was lovely, very friendly and helpful, but the real deal was DINNER , I cannot say enough about the food and wine they make, everything is fresh and cooked to perfection, we had dinner there every night, you can even see the sunset while eating, BEAUTIFUL !! We highly recommend this hotel , thank you a million times for a perfect vacation 🙏

Beautiful location and hotel. Nice pool with amazing views. Restaurant for dining outside was stunning. Great wine selection. Service is slow but that’s an Italian thing! I would stay here again for sure. Only thing I would change is to add bar service at the pool!!

Fantastisk sted. Nydelig utsikt fra poolen. Trenger å sette opp lader eller stikk for elbil. Kunne ønsket meg flere trdisjonelle italeinske retter men de har sin egen toscansk vri. Lunchen er også litt kjedelig. Jeg fikk de til å lage skinke og ost toast. Ikke barnevennlig mat.
