Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Pros: This property is STUNNING. The landscaping is gorgeous, and really added a lot to the overall luxury feel of this resort. We stayed in an ocean golf view "superior suite" which was well-located, and had convenient parking right outside our suite block. It also included a 2nd full bathroom with steam shower. The couch in our suite was comfy for lounging, and laundry and ice was very close by. We had our choice of pools to hang out at, as a couple traveling alone, but I preferred the Beach Tree pool, which is the quiet pool. My husband liked the Palm Grove pool w/ the swim-up bar. Both were lovely to spend time at. All food at all restaurants was delicious. I had multiple appointments at the spa, and highly recommend a Lomi Lomi massage with Kyle! Amazing. Fitness facility is also lovely, and seems to be most crowded earlier in the morning. Plenty of machines to go around, although the weight room was a bit small, and got crowded easily. Cons: Some updates could be helpful. I would expect bidet toilets at a resort of this level in Hawaii. Also, we were placed in a room that adjoined to a room that had small children in it. We could hear *everything* through the adjoining doors, and they woke early! A few days into our stay, a family with small kids moved in to the suite above us, too. Slightly less noisy, but still audible in our suite. I'd give the resort an 8 out of 10 because of these issues, but would happily stay there again, 100%.

Love love the attention from all stuff… super family friendly and still has a area for adults and quiet places this resort is outstanding!

Beautiful grounds, attentive staff and excellent facilities. Everything top-notch.

We had a great week at the FS Big Island. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Overall a beautiful resort with amazing views and amenities. We really enjoyed the tennis and pickleball facilities. The tennis pros were all very friendly and experienced, giving my wife and I very useful pointers. The lap pool and the spa (steam / cold plunge / sauna) were also a highlight of our trip. Our only gripe is that the restaurants are just mediocre. The service at the restaurants are great but the food overall is just OK. We enjoy going to the FS Maui and eating at Spago and Ferraro’s. The restaurants at the FS Big Island here definitely are not in the same ballpark as FS Maui yet they are just as expensive. Also, one other complaint is that there’s really only one bar with a TV and it doesn’t open until 5PM Hawaii time. So there’s not really an option to enjoy college football or NFL games.

Everything was wonderful, right from their welcome to the rooms to the amenities. Loved the kings pond pool. They had a lovely note and a pastr chocolate pastry for my wife because I had mentioned that she was starting a new job. Just wonderful attention to detail.

Room could use some renovation, bed end board was sharp and could easily run into and get injured. There was a opening in the wall in the closet room which was not closed visibly full of dust inside, reported to the house keeper and front desk, they never sent anyone to do anything about it. House keeping knocked on the door when we had do not disturb sign on and insisted to come in this was in the evening when we were packing to leave next morning. We have option to get turn in service or not by putting sign out. Room service came knocking on the door to pick up the tray when we did not call for one yet, we were still eating the breakfast. We did not feel safe to leave anything in the safe after first day when it did not operate and they sent a security to open it, how ever that security asked us what we keep inside the box, we're seniors. Persons at the front desk and the conceirge were not that much friendly and welcoming. For the amount the hotel charge, we were surprised how it changed when we stayed there once before. Ropm service food was excellent. Restaurant Elu was unfriendly and food is not that great.

i wish they would not shine service cart headlights into rooms at night. So annoying!

The Four Seasons team went ABOVE and BEYOND for our family. Our daughter had a medical emergency on the beach and their team was extremely helpful. They even drove out to the hospital to pick me up and take me back to the hotel when a driver was not available. They then refunded the remainder of our trip. Luckily, we were able to come back the following evening and their team was able to re-instate our reservation and get us back in the same room. We are very grateful and can't wait to come back!

Best hotel stay ever. Every thing we ate was incredible. The spa was incredible. The Beach and facilities incredible. There was nothing to improve. We can’t wait to return. It was the perfect trip!

Outstanding hotel in a beautiful location with wonderful staff! Great experience top to bottom. Our appreciation increased even more with our next stay at one of the most expensive hotels on Kauai - that hotel fell far short of our experience at the Four Seasons!

Excellent stay at Hualalai. Great experience in Hawaii that was not too far from the town of Kona that created a peaceful escape but also allowed for exploration of the island of Hawaii

Everything was top notch and as you’d expect from the Four Seasons. Except for the food. It was very inconsistent and disappointed on 3 occassions (especially for the price)
