Residence Inn South Bend Mishawaka

It was clean but not a good deep clean as there was dirt on the bathroom floor. The king bed was so uncomfortable that my husband and I kept waking up in pain all night long. We thought about leaving and not staying a second night, but didn’t want to lose our money. The bed was our biggest issue as it caused us to be tired and sore, versus having a good nights rest. My husband tried to lay on the couch and that was just as bad. The pool was cold and our special needs son who loves the water just cried. We were really looking forward to him having time in the water. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper many times. So that was a little annoying. This was our third year in a row to choose staying at this hotel. Next year I’m not sure what we will do as the bed was a huge disappointment for us.

Generally, clean and the breakfast was well stocked and maintained. The bathrooms need updating as hardware was lose and the elevator ceased working three times (although quickly fixed each time.

Location was great and the facilities, wonderful (including swimming pool and gym). The rooms were spacious, clean with adequate facilities. Only drawback is the breakfact which was rather basic.

I've stayed here a couple times.... The housekeeping was horrible I stayed for 9 days only saw them twice. The front staff was very unprofessional was drinking on the job. Place was very dirty location was great.. and the amenities were great.

Pool looked cloudy and I think there might have been bedbugs. I had several bites on my back, after sleeping in the bed.

Our bathroom had bugs and a toilet leak. The pool room was not stocked. The rooms were quite small for an accessible room.

First off I feel like it's hard for people to realize that when you are employed there are standards and it's necessary to give your all and strive to provide top notch service because your getting paid for it. We spent our hard earned $342 total with only $56 being taken off. There was a bloody pillow with dirty sheets and blankets in a bag for the sofa bed. We arrived late for check in so we were extremely exhausted from traveling plus we had a funeral to attend 6 hrs later, the front desk staff did what he could to accommodate us. Being that it was late he provided us with clean pillows and bedding i think her name was Tony and we really appreciated her I would say that was the best part about the stay although at that point we were just plain uncomfortable. After inspecting the room more it was just not very clean. There was a dirty ring around the tub, light switch filthy in the bathroom on top of the bloody pillow it was just toooo much we were then transferred to another room hours later which was way cleaner than the room next door. We have stayed there before but I'm traumatized. The floors throughout the hotel were not very clean either. I'm very surprised because when we come in town or travel the Marriott is one of our faves. My advice to the would be to weed out the managers and cleaning staff when we were leaving that morning for the funeral half of the staff and the Management were in the kitchen eating the breakfast instead of serving the customer's needs.

Check in was easy and welcoming. The property is very clean and is in a great location, close to Notre Dame which was important to us. There are restaurants within walking distance and the neighborhood was beautiful for walking. Overall excellent!!!

Front desk service was great help, rooms are very dirty. We had hair all over the bathroom floor and bed. Insects crawling on the floors, bad smell in the room, dishes in the room were still dirty and wet sitting in the cupboards. I will never stay here again. We paid $228.85 for a room the street looked clean than.

The room had a lot of dog hair on the couch. The soap dish still had some old leftover soap. The lady at the front desk was the only great thing about it. She apologized and gave us a partial credit for a future visit. Next morning, checking out, the lady at the front desk, didn’t apologize or didn’t seem to care at all.

Very disappointed in housekeeping service. We had extended our stay to include another night and requested full housekeeping. We had already been there for four nights and wanted fresh sheets and a room tidy. Housekeeping had been requested twice previously and it was not done.

This place was lovely. My family of 3 stayed in the king studio and it was enough space. Loved having a full kitchen. Also the staff were nice. Would stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff! Room has kitchen and small dining table, has a feel of home away from home.

Noisy hvac noisy rooms

Friendly staff. Beds are extremely hard. We stayed in a pet friendly room so some signs of wear and tear are expected. Overall, quiet hotel that is convenient to everything.

The bed was far too soft. We both woke up with aching backs. There is no good reason for the hotel to furnish rooms with terrible beds.

Suite was v nice but a little small for a "suite". We enjoyed our stay.

This was our second time staying here! We love it here the only thing that we wish was better that the toilet would stop running all night.

It was a nice place. Booked almost 6 months early. Check in at 3pm and arrived at 5pm and room was not ready. That was the only inconvenience really but driving all day and not getting into a room for a bit was not good. People nice, place clean. Breakfast was decent.
