We have stayed before but this was not the same experience. There was a large nail standing upright near the shower that looked like it was strategically planted for someone to injure themselves. Our room had not been cleaned - there were clothing tags and other peoples toiletries on the floor. There were no clean toiletries in the bathroom. Cafe staff was late opening and did not seem happy to be working. The elevator felt like a death trap and wasn’t working properly. We checked out early.

The hotel was clean and front desk staff were great! The counter where there was Starbucks, breakfast, and bar the staff was ok. They closed early on every occasion, so some of my group didnt get coffee, or breakfast, and we never got a drink at the bar.

We were told that the hotel had a bistro and a bar with pictures on the website . We decided to book there so we could come back after a long day of Black Friday shopping and Eat our dinner, have a few cocktails and get in out of the cold. When we checked in in between stores we were told that they would let us know if bar would be open. Julie checked us in and she was super nice but her boss was curt and rude when I ask again if it would be open. When we returned at 7 pm and had already checked in at 3pm we found that it would not be open. Very upset and had to go back out for Dinner. I think if we did not get the amenities as promised we should have been discounted our room. It was too late to go somewhere else. Also, no one mentioned where the pool was. Also we should have had one breakfast included with our room Nope was not.

A completely derelict hotel. Motel? A person was getting arrested in the lobby when we walked in, the parking lot was full of empty shopping carts. The faucet in the tub sprayed all over the wall rather than directing the water to the showerhead. The wallpaper was falling off the wall. The tv was from another era. The bedding was livable. Gross.

The property is ok. I think some internal updating would be good to include painting and new hallway carpet. The rooms still have carpet which is not as common anymore. If they decide to keep the carpet it needs to be changed. However, the room was spacious and the furniture was good. The front staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was no soap in the bathroom. There was a giant hairball in the bathroom. Several of the outlets did not work making it difficult to use a hairdryer and charge cellphones. I would not return there.

My only complaint was the odor. It smelled of old and dirty carpet. The smell was mostly in the hallways, but was noticeable in the room as well. Many stains on the car part that is not typical of a Marriott.

This is probably the worst Courtyard Marriot that I have been. I was in town for work, checked in around 10pm very tired after a 4 hours flight. Mold in curtain showers, toilet filthy with little poop not flushed, trash cans had no trash bags then the check in clerk over charged me $130 that I had to wait days to be reversed. NEVER again. Manager was to call for the refund, no calls. I’m have pictures of all the nasty that I mentioned

The refrigerator was really noisy during the nighttime hours. Every so often you would hear the motor kick on and off. It was a loud sudden clanking noise which was enough to wake you up and get startled. Also there was no internet connection in my room (226). The room was very clean and welcoming and the staff there were very friendly and helpful.

Black mold like substance on ceiling in shower area from previous leak, sliding door to the bathroom had no "handle" so wouldn't close fully, didn't like how we paid ahead of time for breakfast but only got $10 vouchers for overpriced cafe, was never able to connect to wifi.

For just over $100 a night, this hotel was definitely worth it - especially due to the convenience of everything around it. The hotel was somewhat dated, and the refrigerator was very noisy. A few concerns: we were told the room had two queen beds, when in fact they were full beds - this made it uncomfortable for two adults sleeping. And the lack of microwave in the room made it a little inconvenient. The property worked, but with some hiccups - overall, it was good for what we needed.

Overall a decent hotel, but heads up. The "king size" beds are really queen sized, and the "queen sized" beds are full/double. Moved from one room to the other when the "double sized" pull out couch turned out to be a single, so were able to experience all of these

I always look forward to sleeping in a Marriott bed, but this one is old and terribly uncomfortable. The area traffic can be heard in the room and the ventilation system is old and noisy.

Was greeted very promptly upon our check in day. The room was very spacious and accommodated us nicely. The area around has a lot of dining options and isn't far from Elkhart or South Bend. Very quiet at night that allowed good rest. Would stay here again.

This hotel was located in a great spot in Mishawaka Indiana, their service was fantastic (shout out to Will at the front desk, he was great!), and the room was very clean! I highly recommend staying here and I’ll definitely be back!

Traveled here with a group of 24 for a competition. We were all on the same floor along with other groups for the same competition. Three adults were discussing grocery plans in the hallway and a rude guest came into the hallway and yelled to go back to our rooms (it was 6pm) and later she yelled at a 4 year old kid to stay away from her dog when he and his mom were walking from one room to another to get ready for bed. The hotel staff was not helpful. They came up and offered to move the grumpy guest but she refused and instead we were told by the staff that if we wanted to discuss plans we had to do it in the courtyards and not in the hallway or anyone’s room. If it wasn’t for this situation, we would have let the awful conditions of the hotel slide, but this is a 1/5 hotel. Plenty of others to choose from in the area. Listen to the other reviews on here.

I checked in at 9pm guy was great me in,I left went to work came back about 11pm door was locked so I use my key to get in lady at front desk watched me open door then asked me do I have a room there I said how I open door if I didn’t she said sometimes you push button door opens.I got bags and backpack and she asked that,I will know longer stay there and this not my first time staying there

Rachel at the front desk was amazing, top notch customer service!

This is probably the worst Courtyard Marriot that I have been. I was in town for work, checked in around 10pm very tired after a 4 hours flight. Mold in curtain showers, toilet filthy with little poop not flushed, trash cans had no trash bags then the check in clerk over charged me $130 that I had to wait days to be reversed. NEVER again. Manager was to call for the refund, no calls. I’m have pictures of all the nasty that I mentioned

Convenient location that is close to anywhere you want to go in South Bend. 10 minute drive to Notre Dame. Room was a little small, but it was clean and safe. Would stay again.

Good location. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Front desk was very pleasant and efficient at both check in and out. My sink faucet was leaking, so I called the front desk and maintenance came right away and fixed it in a few minutes. Comfortable bed and well equipped room with fridge, iron and hair dryer.

Property is in good shape. Very friendly staff. Great shower. Odd that there are no sidewalks in the area but that’s not a hotel issue. To go for an outside run, you have to be a little creative.

Was greeted very promptly upon our check in day. The room was very spacious and accommodated us nicely. The area around has a lot of dining options and isn't far from Elkhart or South Bend. Very quiet at night that allowed good rest. Would stay here again.

Property was close to the venue I was going to and was a very clean. The breakfast voucher given was strange. There were 4 of us un the room that I upfront paid for but the voucher was for one person. That did not make sense to me but life goes on.

The hotel was clean and front desk staff were great! The counter where there was Starbucks, breakfast, and bar the staff was ok. They closed early on every occasion, so some of my group didnt get coffee, or breakfast, and we never got a drink at the bar.

Beautiful room and really comfortable bed and pillows. We purchased the breakfast option, which was an extra charge, We chose a quite tasty breakfast sandwich and cranberry juice from the limited options. Good stay!

We were told that the hotel had a bistro and a bar with pictures on the website . We decided to book there so we could come back after a long day of Black Friday shopping and Eat our dinner, have a few cocktails and get in out of the cold. When we checked in in between stores we were told that they would let us know if bar would be open. Julie checked us in and she was super nice but her boss was curt and rude when I ask again if it would be open. When we returned at 7 pm and had already checked in at 3pm we found that it would not be open. Very upset and had to go back out for Dinner. I think if we did not get the amenities as promised we should have been discounted our room. It was too late to go somewhere else. Also, no one mentioned where the pool was. Also we should have had one breakfast included with our room Nope was not.

For starters the front desk attendant did not give us the right amount of breakfast vouchers. When I asked, she couldn't explain why she only gave me enough for one person when there were two of us. Once in the room, the heating unit did not work, there were stains on one pillow case, one pillow case was inside out, stains on the sheets, the bathroom floor was dirty, the sink was clogged, there was FECES on the toilet seat, and to top it off it was a handicap unit so everything was too low. The bar was also not open due to the low number of customers so we were limited to bottled items. Overall a crappy stay and will never book again. Very poorly managed.

No complimentary breakfast is a deal breaker. Not even coffee! Didn’t realize that when I booked. For $349 a night, coffee and danish, at the least, is a must. Loved everything else but will look elsewhere next time

I really can't complain there was some trash left on the balcony from the previous person but not a huge deal I would definitely stay here again. There's also not many places around that have a balcony

Not a great experience. The room was very dirty. The AC vent was coated with dust, cobwebs, and what appeared to be mold. It also was not very cold. When I went to open the curtains, I found spiders that had been smushed against the wall and left there. The walls of the bathroom were very dirty. The bathroom floors, corners, and baseboards were covered in built-up grime and hair. There was hair all over the floor. The floors in our room were filthy. Walking around without shoes felt gross. My feet turned brown from walking on the floor. Also none of the outlets worked, or could hold the phone charger. Breakfast was unavailable, so I am not sure how that would be. We also got there late, and so we weren’t able to check out the bar. The only good thing about this place, was the staff. The lady at the front desk was nice. Overall I do not recommend going here. Please save your money. I was supposed to be coming back next week on my way back, but I cancelled it and chose a different hotel. I don’t get a refund either. Please look at the photos.

The room was excellent and the staff were friendly. The ice machines were not working on any of the floors but the staff were very accommodating and did provide ice from the kitchen. Disappointed that there was no type of breakfast included in our stay. The pool was also not available for use!

The hotel was great when it first opened but it's not been maintained well at all. The mattresses were old and fairly worn out. The TV only received about 10 channels and was blurry. The window as open about one inch when we first got into the room. Overall, the experience was dissapointing and we will not return.
