Driving late and had to find a place to stop. This place was great. Clean, very comfortable, easy on and off highway, friendly staff, affordable! Our stay was brief but we were toward the back and there is a lovely courtyard with an outdoor pool.

It was a nice and clean. The front desk agent was extremely nice during check in. I had a lot of things to carry and I was assigned a 2nd floor room. Since they did not have an elevator she gave a 1st floor room. For me with 2 small children ,that woked out wonderful.

The front desk staff were extremely friendly. We found cleaning rags on one of the beds and there was a lot of hair in the tub. We were concerned about the railroad that ran close to the property, but we were tired and only heard trains a couple of times through the night.

Didn’t like the proximity to the active freight train line. Carpet seemed to have a residue on it - possibly from cleaning. Sink tap handle was loose and had to fiddle with it to change water temperature.

The outside of the property does not reflect the room and experience. Room was large and clean, beds comfy, very quiet, plenty of hot water. No complaints, I am quite happy despite the fact when I first saw the place I was a little worried. Just what we wanted and great price.

Clean & comfortable. A little noise from trains but not bad with AC running. Only complaint is in room coffee maker. Water reservoir was full of mold..gross! If you're not a coffee drinker it was fine.

When we walked in our room it smelled like cigarette smoke. The room was extremely hot. We lowered the heat and left for our event. When we returned it was cooler, but we ended up turning off the heat all together and it really didn't get too much colder. The unit also made weird sounds. The toilet flushing was really loud and scared my kids. There was no kleenex in the room. Overall not bad for $100 but improvements could be made. Beds were comfortable but a few small stains were found on the sheets.

Stayed here before that room was great that’s why I came back. This time the room is horrible stains on the wall, wall paper peeling, a/c/heater sounded like it has marbles in it. Mini fridge never got cold no microwave. When I checked in the staff was great. I’ll say something when I check out. Disappointed….

Just as other reviews have said, the room was amazingly large for the price. There was a mini fridge and a microwave which is great for a travel baseball parent. What we liked best about the room. Was the air conditioning? It actually cooled the room down to the temperature that we wanted at and kept the room cool while we were away during the day.

Poor service checking in. Almost rude. I was given room 242. No heat in it and phone didnt work to call front desk to make staff aware. Went down to office. Told the staff at front desk. She asked " so what do you wanna do about it?) This may not be the exact woman, that worked on my paper work, upon checking in. 2 ladies , had to work together. This rude lady, was dark. I was here in Illinois... BECAUSE OF DEATH OF A FAMILY MEMBER!!!!

It was a quick overnight stay, the room was nice. Area safe enough to walk a few blocks to get dinner (college town). Only had an issue with my door and lock (it worked but very difficult), I let them know at checkout and they emailed later that it was fixed. I would definitely go back!

Carpet in room was wet. The room smelled musty, the mini fridge didn't cool my beverages and when I tried turning on the heat it smelled like it was going to start a fire.

Perfect for the purpose. Close to - walking distance bars and restaurants. Excellent price. !! Good if attending sporting events at NIU. Close to all game areas. Ample parking. It just was great. Staff made sure as a semi handicapped person I had a ground floor room. Overnight girl was so polite and helpful. I wish all motels had people like her!
