Super 8 by Wyndham Johnson City

It was an ok place to spend one night. Clean and well kept. Bed was so-so. The stairs were hard to navigate. Shower was hot and good pressure. Pet friendly.

Great room for the price and super clean. Overall the place was nice, clean, comfortable, quiet and close to everything. My only complaint was I am handicapped, they do not have an elevator and they indefinitely booked out the entire first floor.

Very clean very well appropriated and they leave you alone you ask for stuff and they bring it and they leave you alone place was very quiet also I brought my little dog and other people had dogs and I didn't hear any of them nobody barking the rooms were very quiet

Clean rooms quite breakfast didnt like nothing there bit a muffinn or yogurt hade to go three freight of stairs get to the room when u older hard to do no elevator

The staff is super friendly ans willing to help you any way they can, its not in the best neighborhood but the parking lot is well lit and staff is ALWAYS available. The only bad thing is the bathtub/shower was disgusting with hair stuck all in the drain and black mold all down the sides and crevices.

I stay here every time I come to Johnson City. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff are welcoming . Also, my little dog is able to stay with us. The only thing I don't like is they took the coffee makers out of the rooms.

Good experience for a last minute decision. Bed was comfortable. Need more pillows. Breakfast and guest laundry should not be in the same room. No elevator. Little stintch from smokers.

This is the cleanest smelling room i believe i have ever stayed in. You could smell and see the cleanliness in ever part of the room.

Walls and surfaces dirty. Floor dirty and uneven. Tub dirty. Toilet broken upon arrival, had to take top off to flush from inside tank. Non-smoking room, but both beds had bedding with multiple cigarette burns.

Room was very clean and neat. Beds were comfortable and hotel located in a quiet area. Would definitely book again.

When I went to check in at this property, the lobby had a strange, perfumey air freshener smell that seemed a little strong. As I climbed the stairs to my room (no elevator), I realized why. The hallway of the third floor smelled overwhelmingly like an ashtray. For a non-smoking property, it smelled like people smoke there 24/7 and have done so for years. My room wasn't quite so bad but it does smell like they pipe air freshener in to cover the bad smells. It was a strong combination of perfume and ashtray that it took awhile to get used to. The room looked OK but the furniture was kind of threadbare. Then I pulled back the top sheet to sit on the bed. The brown blanket underneath had multiple cigarette burn holes. The hotel HAS to know they are there when they clean and replace the blankets. The white sheet underneath also had a patch of reddish purple spots that were too off color to be blood, thank God, but looked like makeup or Kool-Aid or something had dripped on the bed. Not gonna lie, I felt a little icky climbing into those sheets. Slept fine, though, and got out of there the next morning. If you are looking for a smoker's paradise, this might be the hotel for you but I think I'm going to pass next time I'm in town.

Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet, nice staff

I've stayed here several times over the last couple of years. The team has done an excellent job of providing a lot of value for a budget hotel. It's not luxurious, but it is friendly, quiet, clean and professionally run. The surrounding area isn't anything to write home about, but it is safe, and there are many food options within walking distance or a mile or two driving. If you're looking for a good inexpensive place to stay in JC or just traveling up I-26, this Super 8 is a very solid choice.

This motel is hidden in an industrial wasteland. There is a noisy truck yard right across from the motel windows. The place was clean but shabby and dated. When I arrived with a reservation, the clerk who had limited English had a tough time checking me in. The free breakfast is a joke. If there are smaller muffins in world I haven't seen them. The juice machine did not work and... that was it. BTW many of the other guests were barefoot and tattooed in the lobby and while outside smoking and arguing. The Ritz it ain't.

This place is a great nights stay. The shower was nice and the room clean. The towels were like heaven. Coffee was hot. Breakfast was .. continental. The room I had was partly below ground so the view was of the underside of the car parked outside the window.. backed in and left running. Smelt awful, but they shut the car off before bed so whatever. Staff were awesome. Had 3 or 4 places to select to eat at. All within walking distance (under half a mile. I’m old and fat).

Most TV stations did not work and internet didn’t work either. Told owner 1st morning and is wasn’t fixed in 2 days and nights. Won’t go back!

Property is great for a quick stay, but wouldn’t consider if staying more than 2 days. Beds and rooms are clean, looks like they recently “updated” facility but it wasn’t the best. We stayed in a room that was “no smoking” but every morning we would wake up to the smell of someone smoking. Property says they have breakfast which they do but all they have is cereal, coffee and juices.

The property is correctly priced (relatively low) for the room quality and area around the hotel.

Reserving room on Expedia site was awkward which resulted in me reserving 2 roms when I only needed 1. I suspected that I had done this and tried to find a phone #to call to clarify but could find no way to inquire. Apparently I was charged for 2 rooms. Room had unpleasant odors and there was nearly constant noise from the room above me until 2 or 3 in the morning

Very good experience, the manager was a very nice guy and made sure if there was anything I needed or had a question about, he would do everything he could to take care of it or answer it.

We checked in and there was a bad diesel smell in the room. No problem, we go to the front desk to ask if we can switch rooms and he gives us another room. We get woke up at 2:30 in the morning by someone trying to get in, then 10 minutes later we get startled again by the phone. It was the front desk asking us who we were and why we were in that room. We had to explain to the same guy that gave us that room what was going on. Shoudnt have had to. Wont stay again.

The staff are great people friendly and happily answered questions

The only complaint I have is that I was only there couple hours cause I got a call an had to go back home an I ask if they could reduce the price since I couldn’t stay the night . They said they couldn’t do that so they charged me $236 for couple hours that is crazy a the room is nice but not nice enough to charge that much. There was a race in town so they were raising there prices for the weekend but I wasn’t there for the race . I think they should credit my card back for part of the room. As far as being nice they were nice but I think they have a bad business policy thank you Benette Howard

The location is convenient, and the hotel was good for a one night stay. The room could use a deep clean in the corners and the bathroom (ex there was a tin yogurt lid between the refrigerator and the cupboard wall). Check in is normally easy with the super 8 by Wyndham - we can do all of it before we arrive - but this location decided that a military ID is not a valid form of identification (?) and the gentleman who checked us in was insistent that only a drivers license was acceptable . We also did the pre checkout process, indicating that we would be leaving at 11 and still were woken up by knocking on our door at 9:30 (with a do not disturb sign on the door) In addition they deactivated our room key as we were loading up our car (still prior to 11am) and we had to get a new one to get the remaining items from our room. We’d stay again, but this location is not as friendly or hospitable as many of the super 8 by Wyndham’s we’ve slept in. For the price, if you’re just looking for a bed and shower, it’s worth it

So a few days ago my GF and I stayed in this hotel. Well, I had noticed my phone charger was missing. We stayed last night again. This morning when we were checking out the cleaning guy stopped me and handed me my charger. Cause my GF and I stay here regularly he waited till he saw me again and gave me back my charger. I thought this was absolutely above and beyond. Thank you to the whole super 8 staff! We've never had a bad experience all the times we've stayed. I wouldn't book anywhere else in Johnston City.

The facilities matched the price point. However, every staff member with whom i interacted was excellent-helpful, polite, attentive. Also the location is good. Easy to find. Conveient to I-26 and other major roads

Terriable theu charged me 40 for using towls they say they just throw them away after usage, it was in a terriable location and creepy people hang that area. 😳

It was very scary and sketchy, on a back street near what looked like to be a motorcycle bar called CrowBar. Seemed to cater towards more of an "out of town work crew" which is ok if thats what you are looking for. It says buffet breakfast which is why we chose it (being out of town with a grandchild in their local childrens hospital and not having alot of funds) we thought we could save money. The breakfast was grab n go muffins, yogurt, fruit cup, and cereal bar. Not what i thought we where getting when advertised as "buffet breakfast". The beds where to hard for me. On the plus i didnt see any roached or get eaten alive by bed bugs. I AM NOT a customer that leaves reviews at all. The only occasion is if a place is exceptionally great for the value or if its just down right Bates Motel im gonna let someone know. Unfortunately, this one IS the latter. Please pay the extra few dollars and get a nicer room. I have stayed at hundreds of places and this makes the 3rd review i have ever left.

Good value for the money. The breakfast is a little weak. Cerial and breakfast bars and some fruit. Room was clean and quiet.

Onlt rooms available were smoking, felt like we were sleeping in an ashtray. The room and bedding felt damp. Only breakfast was bannanas and yogurt. I know yall can do better than this.

Stayed one night in town for travel football. Room was clean and staff was nice. Breakfast was below par but for the price I still give the hotel a great review.
