Took a gamble on this hotel and not disappointed. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Very busy in pub / restaurant. Room just redecorated and was lovely.

No issues. Restaurant provided a good range of well prepared food and excellent range of beers on tap. Room clean and comfortable. Will look to return next year.

Warm welcome at a traditional inn, great food and beer and comfortable room. Had the option of a night in Birmingham at a characterless chain hotel or 30 mins on the train, short walk past the bowling green and church and a night in a pleasant small hotel at a fraction of the cost!

The check in was efficient and the room was comfortable with a nice ensuite with a shower. The location was very good in the centre of Penkridge with onsite parking.

The room was spacious and comfortable and particularly cosy, though a bit noisy on a Saturday night due to the restaurant and terrace below. There was no night porter and no where to return the keys before 7 AM. There was a very generous selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolat in the room.

It looks like this place was nice a few years ago, my room was in need of modernising and a coat of paint. It looked like they were short staffed, the restaurant was busy. Good beer. Just not very welcoming and looked a bit run down. seemed very popular though. I can't understand why some places only offer cooked breakfasts at the weekend, don't be fooled by this when you book, only continental available.

Overall we had a brill stay here en route to Anglesey. The room was nice and clean, the staff there were incredibly friendly and the place has an overall nice vibe about it. Would recommend it.

Convenient for Shugborough. Very disappointing check in from Receptionist. The hotel has started a painting and redecorating programme. Left it too late. Stair carpets look filthy. Room at the back is noisy from air conditioning?

Four of us stayed Saturday night and this was our first time at the Littleton arms. The rooms were clean , functional and very comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was exceptionally good, great service and a very good choice on offer. Good value and will definitely return in the future. 👍👍👍👍👍

Excellent place and food excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. Food to high standard,young staff were very professional and polite. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was the best ive had. The atmosphere was buzzing as per usual in the west midlands. Definitely stay here again

I was in room 7, a lovely spacious room with huge sash windows. It does need a little TLC but then it is an old building. The issue for me was lack of sleep. The curtains were paper thin so broad daylight at 5am. Also the fire exit was by my door and used by staff so this was slammed several times late at night. The toilet made a weird loud noise (like a lorry horn!) every 15 mins. So just as I was dropping off I got woken up. Not ideal.

We stayed one night in room 5. The room was nice on arrival. Unfortunately the heating didnt work. The staff were helpful and brought a small portable heater but it wasnt really up to the task. We had to go to the front desk a couple of times as the water didnt get hot in the shower. The food and the staff were great but were let down by the room. They were clearly doing work on the facilities but we didnt feel room 5 was good enough for guests.

Property ideally located for our purposes. Unfortunately TV did not work and no hot water initially on second morning. Main number for problems not answered and emergency no. belonged to previous owner who sold business 18 months previous! Building floors need work.

The room was spacious and comfortable okay for a couple of nights. Parking on site was easy. Evening meal was good a price and room price included a huge tasty breakfast.
The room was spacious and comfortable okay for a couple of nights. Parking on site was easy. Evening meal was good a price and room price included a huge tasty breakfast.

Little bit of "snagging" in the bathroom and room but as whole I'd highly recommend this venue. Staff really helpful. Breakfast huge and great quality ingredients. Room was a great size. Beds really comfy. I simply loved the history and feel of the place. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed a nice stay at The Littleton helped by the lovely weather! My room (1) was a bit warm but a fan was provided which helped cool things down. A lovely old inn with lots of character and a fantastic restaurant. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Hotel a bit tired in places but old buildings like this take a lot of upkeep. Breakfast was also excellent and I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely place to stay, great food , clean and really helpful staff. Only moan I have is my room had a very low ceiling and with the hot weather was boiling. I was on the top floor and the window only opened slightly. The air conditioning until for the pub was across from my room and was really noisy. Room didn’t get cleaned and I was there three nights. I would definitely go back but ask for a room on the front not on the top floor. Church nearby was beautiful and nice shops and cafes.
