Nice, quiet place for a weekend away, didn’t use the bar, staff in reception was polite and helpful, should note weddings and events are held on site we wasnt aware of this prior to our visit, didnt really impact us just busier than we expected.

Stayed in the David Pod for 2 nights this Wk . My 9 yo son loved it so much we have booked 3 nights next Wk . Love this place beautiful views , nice restaurant, fabulous Pod. Never ‘glamped’ before but now I’m sold . Just a Shame the kids stuff (swan pedelos) weren’t on due to weather , hopefully next week . Unexpected car show on while there , really nice, interesting 👌

An impressive property set in delightful countryside location but with easy access to a wide array of onsite complimentary facilities. I also chose to stay here based on the diversity of rooms, lodge at price to suite my budget. Lastly, the breakfast service was just excellent sufficient to put a smile on my face. See you again perhaps?

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on business in the area. Clean, tidy and all essentials on hand. Good bar & restaurant.

The hut was lovely and the surroundings great however there was a extremely loud party until 1am. Bass and drunken shouting people from the event were keeping my whole family up and ruined our day on Sunday. We drove 3.5 hours to get an early night and arrive at NEC for a horse show at 8.30am. However our day has been ruined due to us not being able to sleep until 3am when I politely asked the drunk neighbours to quieten down. Advertised for families and children but I would hesitate when booking due to the events centre which is cleverly not mentioned when booking. I have videos of people shouting and of the extremely loud drum and bass music rattling our accommodation for the evening.

Quirky place in lovely surroundings. We stayed one night to attend a concert, really liked the fact that we had safe parking and on-site facilities such as restaurant and bar. The surrounding are beautiful and there are some lovely areas to walk. Our Daughters stayed in a pod which looked very new and was lovely inside, my friend and I shared a log cabin which was perfectly adequate, however, could do with updating. Would recommend, however, I would advise booking a pod rather than a cabin.

The room was fab, new bathroom new carpet comfy 4 poster and really quiet it is hower a conference and function venue and quite a bit of it was closed off for various functions. Massive place with lots to occupy you (when there aren't functions on) would stay again.

Always good get away I visit every year nicely tucked away Staff just need to keep up with the maintenance. One TV arial cable was faulty and had to switch between the TV's. ...and cobwebs

Our stay was very comfortable with a lovely welcome from the team in the restaurant even on a busy Sunday afternoon. We stayed in the Jill pod very clean and comfortable but the door handle on the bathroom does need fixing.

Hi, my stay was only for one night however you left a lasting impression on me, lovely place, spotless room, nice eateries close by, the other 3 people in my party all felt the same and I have no doubt I will be back again.

Friendly staff, stayed in a glamping pod, floor and under the bed very dusty and dirty, complimenatory buscuits had been opened and some eaten by previous occupants, only two squares of toilet paper left in the roll and no other toilet rolls to use, only one thin pillow fir each person and reception couldn’t find any more so had to go home to bring our own to sleep on. Breakfast was very small and the tea was stewed.

Really nice glamping pod with its own small loo. There were a few cobwebs and dust on the window sill, otherwise it felt clean and tidy. Staff in reception were very pleasant. Very quiet overnight this may change if an event is being held tho. Overall a very peaceful and comfortable stay

The room was warm and comfortable and nicely furnished but poorly maintained. The wall light above the bed didn't work, there were black mould stains in the shower, the toilet seat was wonky, the toilet-roll holder was not securely attached to the wall and the complimentary shower gel was half used. Breakfast was a joke! The doors to the restaurant building were still locked, leaving about six of us standing outside for about 20 minutes among the vomit and debris (including a blood soaked handkerchief!) of the previous night's Christmas party and when we finally got in, the food was abysmal. My vegetarian breakfast consisted of 3 sausages, overcooked, a fried egg, also overcooked, hash brown, mushrooms and tomato, of which only the last three were remotely palatable. All that being said, for the price and proximity to the NEC it was a good choice and I'd give them a second chance.

Room was spotless Staff were great

It was enjoyable and the POD was super clean and comfortable. One important suggestion... make it much clearer how the hot water for these lower works. My friend in the next pod had a cold shower. The instructions on the check in info. were hidden away at the bottom of the 2nd page and the location of the hot water button n the POD was not found.

We stayed in a chalet it was very clean & Cosy with a lovely bathroom, tea & coffee making facilities & TV. We dined in the restaurant both evening & in the morning for breakfast. The food was lovely & the restaurant was very clean & quirky. We will definitely book to stay again!!

The welcoming area upon arrival has a door that you can't see the staff behind so you have to ring a bell and wait. Not very welcoming when you hear the staff chatting behind the door before they come and welcome you. It was dark outside and so finding our accommodation once given the key was very difficult as you weren't escorted to the accommodation. Thankfully we had a torch with us to assist our direction. No info was provided on the Wi-Fi availability at checkin. We suggest a one page sheet is given to all guests covering all the various points like heating, Wi-Fi and meal times and restaurant location. The note inside the cabin re switching on the hot water was misleading. We had to revisit the checkin staff to ask where the switch was. We advised the staff again the next day of this and they said it would be updated as they agreed it was incorrect. As for the bedding, the mattress was atrocious, you could feel the springs coming through the top of it. There were stains on the mattress. No mattress or pillow protectors were provided. Nor were any additional blankets provided incase it turned really cold during the night and the panel heater wasn't sufficient. The TV remote needed a through clean as it was disgusting with grime all over it. On the positive side, the food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was lovely and the staff were responsive and engaging.

Ok so initially booked a shepherds hut but it’s definitely not for two as the bed is very small and not much space around it but it is very cosy, clean and warm (once the heater is on.) Would come back alone for the experience! We asked to be moved to a room and the staff were more than accommodating. The room itself was very olde worlde. a little too much for our liking but we appreciated being moved there. The tv channels did not work very well apart from the basic freeview channels and it was hard to turn the radiator down so it got very warm. It was all very clean but just a little drab in terms of decoration. Had two breakfast vouchers and we thought we were too late but met a lovely man on checkout who kindly insisted we had some breakfast before we left. The staff really are lovely.

Quirky basement room with a little old lady behind a glass panel in the wardrobe- only downside was WiFi wasn’t brilliant being below ground level

Really nice place to stay. Bedroom windows wouldnt open so room was quite warm. Would like to try the huts!

I liked the vibe of the place and everything was convenient. The room was very competitively priced and was very spacious. My only gripe was that the wifi signal was poor in my room (room 6) to the point where I couldn't use it. This could be a big problem for some people but I could make do. The signal seemed to be fine elsewhere around the site. The mattress was also a little on the 'firm' side.

At the last minute we had to book accomodation for Crufts and stayed in one of the small glamping pods. It was just my daughter and I and it was just perfect for sleeping in. Any longer than two mights would have needed something bigger but it did the trick.

I've stayed here many times and have always had a great experience, this time was a little different as the cabin I was staying in was very tired, gaps in the doors and windows ranging from 1cm to 2 possibly 3 cm where Icould see daylight were not ideal as it was a very windy and rainy day making the cabin very drafty and cold. This doesn't take away anything from the service, cleanliness and great food that is always given.... Just this particular stay wasn't to the normal great standard.

Shower was hanging off the wall. Light in bed area did not work. Access to the bed was crawling up from the bottom which with any sort of mobility problem will be an issue.

Arrived late but staff were extremely helpful, showed me where I was stopping and gave all the info I needed. Room was clean, comfortable and one of the nicest I’ve stopped in. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff were extremely friendly and the service was great

Had an absolutely wonderful experience staying here. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The cleaning staff had folded my clothes for me whilst I was away and made the room extremely clean for each return after working during the day. I personally had bothered every bar tender to make me a Moscow mule (in which I had learned is not commonly asked for in the UK) and every time they were very willing to work with me and make it happen! I will be staying here again!

The log cabin was perfect except for 3 things. Being November the heating could have been switched on before our arrival to take the chill off the room. And instructions for how to set it up would have been nice so we didnt have to google the manufactures website to set it up for our stay. Also clear instructions on the way to get the best from the shower would be helpful. The room was clean and adequate for what we required. The staff were friendly and extremely courteous and bent over backwards to be helpful at all times. Food in the restaurant was excellent for both our evening meal and breakfast the following day. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy in the evening service was still excellent our whole stay was 5star

Didn't think the service was very good at the bar/restaurant waited at the bar to get served and the staff kept me waiting while they where chatting

The information on Expedia wasn’t clear and I didn’t realise that it was not a hotel/b&b. Only realised that it was a glamping pod in the middle of nowhere with no amenities close by and was also very far from Birmingham NEC

The location of old hall house was great to get to the NEC, a 20 minute drive avoiding big M roads , The hut was warm and very clean.

Good clean room at back of house, which was fortunate as there was a prom taking place at the property. Location is very isolated and nearest town/village is 10 minutes drive away with very little in way of amenties

I stayed in a family glamping pod for a change. Was clean & tidy. Had the essentials. Very pleasant setting. Not sure it's big enough for more than 2 people though. Hotel restaurant food very good and well priced. Breakfast was great. Staff very nice. Decor in hotel is wacky (in a nice way though).

Check in was easy (after 7pm in the restaurant). My room was No. 7 in the house. Which was like being Harry Potter (Under the stairs!). The room was in what must have been the old cellar. With it being a very warm day (28 degrees) the coolness of the room was very welcoming. The room was equipped with a portable AC unit, portal heater, the usual tea, coffee etc. The shower was a multi functional shower with steam and jets. The bed was rather hard for my liking. The striking feature of the room was the old lady in the rocking chair in the wardrobe. I thought this was great! I had an evening meal which was very reasonably priced - home made steak and ale pie with chips and peas. And it tasted excellent. Good choice for breakfast. I opted for the full English. Which again tasted excellent. Would i stay again - YES

Arrival was a little fraught thanks to my sat nav and arriving in the dark but once parked up I was able to get my key from the restaurant as directed. The room was excellent, wished I was staying longer. The cooked breakfast was the best I have had this year - great quality ingredients perfectly cooked.

Dinner main course was excellent, puddings were ok. Disappointed in the lack of decaf coffee at breakfast, offered a spoon of instant but not the same. Staff very friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Gardeners started up at 08:00, luckily we were awake.

Perfect for my last minute impromptu overnight stay. Always wanted to stay in a Cabin/Pod/Shepherd’s hut…. One with its own en-suite facilities, at a great last minute price, made it a no brainer! By the Grace of the Gods I’ll be back and stay longer to explore more of the Onsite entertainment facilities. Restaurant staff were amazing and the food fabulous! Breakfast was good value too with the vegetarian option being well presented and tasty.
