Aqua Blue Hotel

The location is excellent! Right off the beach and easy to walk to restaurants. Unfortunately our room was not clean. The floor was very sandy and the bed was broken. I went to open the window and it fell out. The roof top deck needs major repairs. Boards curled, easy to trip on. Trash was overflowing all week and very smelly. The view from the deck was spectacular too bad it wasn’t safe if dark as you would not see the broken flooring since there is no lights. We did not use the pool but we were told by friends it was green and slimy. We will never return!

Nice play to stay near the water. Conveniently located near beach, shops and restaurants. Could use more work to make it what it once was…a hot spot/side patio with music, food & drinks. They also had a really nice restaurant, free breakfast and ballroom, but haven’t seen either in years.

We booked here partly to use the indoor pool. It was disgusting. Green water and freezing cold. Should have been closed

Pool was closed due to mechanical issues but there was no notification until we got to the hotel. I would have chosen to spend a little bit more money with a pool that was operational. I travel with small children and they were very disappointed as was I.

Close to restaurants, shopping and beaches. However this was the 3rd year we stayed and the pool and hot tub were not available. The hotel needs work and better amenities.

The roof top patio was nice but everything is dated and many things in need of repair. No restaurant/bar on site. Will not spend the money to stay there again.

No maid service for 2 days. No clean towels. Place is in disrepair. Needs an update. Bathroom door was broken and had to fix the toilet to flush it. Pool was disgusting.wont be coming back.

The location of this property is its best feature! The staff were friendly, but not particularly helpful. The parking lot is tight! The pool was not working, which I saw was updated on the website, but no notification was given via email etc and I had booked months ago, so was not aware. The layout is very confusing, no helpful directions or map within the building or in the rooms for where to find things, or the best way to navigate how it is laid out. Signs within the building and elevator are outdated which adds to the confusion. For example it says they have a restaurant, which they don’t, I inquired at the desk as to where it was and she said to go to the one behind their establishment, which is a separate business that has nothing to do with the hotel. There is a back entrance which claims you need a hotel key to open the inside door, but we found it was almost always propped open - so anyone could enter - our room was on that same floor so that did not feel safe. Air conditioner in room worked well so that was nice, fan in bathroom was loud and did not work well, did not like the sink/vanity - awkward shape and no real counter-space. The lights within the room are awful to figure out how to work - not to mention if you leaned back on the headboard in our room, the lights went out, comical, but very annoying! Bedding and pillows were not the greatest, but the bed was fairly comfortable.

Would have been nice to know that the pool and hot tub were out of order. Also would have been nice to sit outside on the 2nd floor deck but trash was everywhere!! Very dirty.

Overall, the hotel was acceptable. The room itself was clean with the exception of spots on the carpeting. Also, carpets in the hallways and stairwells were dirty. The place seems like it was charming at one time, but needs a lot of TLC and upgrades to bring it back up the that charm.

It’s a bed. The bed is comfortable enough. The shower rod was loose. Some of the outlets didn’t work. And the room was pretty musty smelling. It basically felt like a pretty basic house flip.

The bathroom had hair in the shower when we arrived.

Immediate reaction upon opening the door to the room was to the strong smell of disinfectant. And the carpet was damp. Eeeww. More than one hook in the bathroom isn't asking for too much. And coffee and Styrofoam cups replenished the next morning wudda been nice

Arrived on a Friday. Lobby was decent, apeared like it was recently refreshed. Up the elevator, it was gross with liquid drips down the walls. Up to the room. The smell of fabuloso permiating the air. The walls are all marked up from people hitting the wall. Into the room and the rug was dated, stained and a few burn marks next to the slider door. Bed made perfectly and clean. A better start. Can't close the bathroom door at alll. Like it won't fit. Door frames gross and could use pain or even a wipe. The towel rack falling off the wall. The bathroom was adequate and maybe had a refresh 5 years ago. Tv small but adequate too. Never got room service and had to go to lobby desk to ask for more towels. Was told to put the sign in the door for service. There were no signs on any doors. Rusty old a/c that was loud and cycling constant. Great location but spent more on the sign and not in rooms.

The halls smelled musty and the rugs were old in the room and hallways.

It’s a beautiful location great views on beach . Our room was never clean or vacuumed bathroom door coming off hinge screws missing dirt in tub some lights not working sheets were a bit smelly like dirty . I am truly sorry to say this about your hotel but I expected better but we managed to have a good time.

The location is great, but our room wasn't. There was visible mold all over our ceiling and the shower was mostly cold. Carpet and bedding was damp. Definitely needed a dehumidifier.

The hotel has gone down hill over the past few years. The carpeting is stained and smells terrible. The cleaning staff uses a lot of pine-sol type products to cover the smell of the carpeting. The smell is thru-out the facility. Our first room smelled of smoke and damp carpet. 2nd room was just the smell of the carpet and pinesol lingering. The front fesk staff was very helpful with the room switch. The room is dark and other than a table with 2 stained chairs there was not a sitting area. We rented the Surf room which shows an accent chair in the room. Both rooms did not have that.. Thankfully we did make the best of it. I would not recommend or rent here anytime soon. This has been our go to for years past hopefully it can turn around.

Beautiful views and very comfortable nicely decorated room large room. We loved watching the storm on the ocean from the covered balcony.

Room: sink was new/very clean, shower was clean, carpets were questionable, walls were dirty. Bed was fine. TV didn't work. I appreciated how the room had a mini fridge. Room was also fairly spacious. Location is perfect. Walkable to beach and lots of dining. Free on site parking. Pool was under construction so not usable. Hopefully will be ready next time!

Great location right across from Narragansett beach. Room was clean, but furnishings were very sparce. The walls were thin and you could hear entire conversations from neighboring rooms. Everytime a door closed down the halllway the sound echoed in the room. The staff was friendly. Not a must stay, but pleasant enough for a beach weekend.

Awful! Do not go! I booked a king bed room, ocean facing, with a balcony. Where do I begin? The room was decent size and was ocean facing, but the balcony? Not even room for a chair. My shower is bigger than this "balcony." The room also had a "wet bar" which was a particle board cabinet with a sink that leaked underneath, a door under the sink that wouldn't stay closed, and a small fridge haning out of the cabinet as it didn't fit. We had a coffee pot with three decaf K-cups for two people for two days. The "pool" had murky green water, maybe fit for wildlife, and the hot tub - which was "under maintenance" when I booked this place a month ago - was still not fixed. That had brown murky water in it. Also to note, the beach is a bit of a walk down the street and you have to pay to use it every day ($12 per person). The only good things I have to say is that the near by restaurants were awesome (Coast Guard House and Celeste). At $500 per night, I exected a lot better.

The location was perfect, the ladies at the front desk were unfriendly and short and to the point. My family and I spent our three days at The Town beach and one day in Block Island. When arriving late in the evening, back in our room to take showers, the water was luke warm to cool. All four of us were unable to remove sunscreen and sand from our bodies. The front desk said, that normally happens and there was nothing they could do. However, the beds were very comfortable and we all slept well.

Overpriced for what it’s! You are definitely paying for location. First room we were offered - for close to $400/ night - felt like a cave. Long, skinny room with a tiny window hidden at the far end, not providing any light. To the hotel’s credit they changed our room.

The TV didn’t work in our room. They gave us another room right away no problem. That tv didn’t work either. It is in a beautiful location. You can walk to the beach.

Not good customer service

We were supposed to have a room with two queen beds. They assigned us a room and when I used the card to enter the room, I was surprised that there were people already inside. I went back down and the people working there started laughing about it. Maybe because they were high with the rank smell of weed? I don’t know. They gave us a king room since they couldn’t find a room with two queens. The room we ended up with was clean. The area outside was great for walking to shops, restaurants and the beach.

We arrived at Aqua Blue Hotel only to find out they had overbooked and didn’t have a room for us—despite our reservation. After a long 3-hour wait, they finally arranged another hotel. The only saving grace was the helpful staff and the fact that they did cover the cost. Still, this kind of chaos shouldn’t happen. Extremely disappointing.

Was offered twice a dirty room. One day no room service and cleaning. Hotel management takes advantage of a nice location. Absolutely horrible service.

Great staff

My stay was perfect. Even though Expedia didn't provide a real oceanfront (instead a sliver of a view), the staff and location more than made up for it. Plus there's a great communal deck with awesome view of ocean and beach. The staff were terrific. When I had my car window smashed in while in Providence, the maintenance guy cleaned it all up. Front desk women (Cassandra and Donna) were friendly and also helpful all around. Great stay. Plan on returning.

There was no one there to check us in. After waiting almost 2 hours, I had to leave and go somewhere else. Save yourself and go to Atlantic House down the street

The woman at reception was amazing and went above and beyond to try and compensate for several mishaps, but she unfortunately only had enough to give for what the hotel offers. I tried to reach out to management about our stay and got no response after repeated tries. I'm quite disappointed.

When there were issues with our room that was originally assigned to us, the staff on duty, Kenneth, was very accommodating and gave us an even better room with a great view!

Location is perfect

The hotel is right across the street from the Narragansett beach which is a gorgeous place to swim, surf and play.

Perfect location for enjoying Narragansett. Walkable to many shops and restaurants, and to the beach. The hotel could use some upkeep, though I imagine that during the off-season this isn't a priority and perhaps by the summer the property will be in better shape.

We had a great room, 220, with two big windows looking out to the beach! Great room! Great area for walking, beach access and dining!

Not cheap to stay and just about zero amenities. Don’t even have coffee ready in the morning. I mean come on..no coffee!

It feels kind of old and not well maintained, but the staff was nice. The pool pump wasn’t working, so that was gross, there’s no restaurant, but they have coffee and tea for the morning. It’s a good location but very no frills.

No food or bar service

Only disappointing aspects of our August Stay were the Inside Pool closed and lack of any Breakfast options. Given amount of Hotel Rooms / number of Guests and especially during Summer, hotel should really hire someone to clean Pool on daily basis. Despite only coffee/Tea options in hotel Lobby, a very good breakfast spot (Cool Beans) right around rear corner of Hotel.

The location is GREAT! The problem is that the hotel has no restaurant, no bar. There are excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

Location is great. Hotel needs to do some upgrading. Beds were comfortable (I had a king bed), bathroom is tight. Shades wouldn't stay up. Pool looked nice, I didn't go in. Hot tub not working. Maybe add a continental breakfast. Odd that they are a convention center, but have no restaurant.

No frills but great location and nearby amenities, including the beach and restaurants.

Coffee shop across the street is good. Celeste is a really good dining option.
