We knew checkout was at 11 am and decided to walk to beach for quick walk and view about 10:15. We returned at 10:45-10:50 to find our room locked and key didn’t work. We still had a few items still in the room although we had loaded some of our luggage earlier before our walk. The manager saw us I guess not able to enter our room and came over with his master key to unlock room. Going for coffee early was a bit of hassle too my travel companion said. Property was clean, quiet and close to beach, with bagel breakfast with juice and coffee.

There was no pool…I thought there was. Breakfast was bagels an coffee. The place was clean and a short walk to the beach. For the price, I paid, a pool would have been wat I wanted.

The motel location is excellent. But it was not worth $350. They don’t have an ice machine and charge you for ice/water. They exactly charge you for everything!!! Charge for an early check in and no late check out. The breakfast is only bagels & they watch you making it. The room was fairly clean but the floor is so sandy(guess that’s the cost of being near beach).

We stayed for one night in October to visit our daughter at URI. The room had an amazing ocean view, and the sunrise was gorgeous! Although quite small, the room was very clean and updated. The staff were friendly and thorough. The breakfast was underwhelming, but did the trick! We would definitely stay again!

The room was a good size but it was right next to the area where the staff washes linens. So in the morning there was a lot of noise that was right up against where the headboard of the bed was. That lasted for over an hour…daily. Parking on the backside of the motel is tight and people didn’t park in between the lines and I was forced to park in a non marked spot. I did put my parking pass on my dash though. There was a slight step up to the room from the door that was marked with worn yellow tape. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was clean. There was a dehumidifier in the room in addition to the a/c so it was a bit noisy. I shut the dehumidifier off after it became full and I emptied it. I was so excited to stay here because of my stay last year. This stay was meh.

I had an excellent stay. The room was comfortable & basic. The location is great, across from the beach. My room was on an alley between the motel & its restaurant. The soda machines were out of order though the receptionist could access drinks upstairs. A reasonably priced ideally located motel on a truly beautiful seashore.

We loved the location directly across from Scarborough Beach. Staff is efficient and friendly. The room was extremely clean and updated recently. Free coffee and bagels in the morning! Highly recommend for a visit to the area.

The motel was in a great location directly across the street from the beach. Outside property of the motel was very very nice. Room amenities were good as well but our room at a very very musty smell that did not seem to diminish while we were there. Other than that, I would highly recommend this motel.

The room smelled like bleach. Which led us to believe the room was clean. There dirty fingerprint marks on the walls next to the toilet. There brown/red smudges on the bathroom door and door frame. The pillows were extremely flat and uncomfortable. The odor of bleach was so strong we both woke up with headaches. Neither of us felt comfortable showering based on what the shower looked like. The room was way too expensive for the condition it was in. We stayed in multiple inns and hotels in the area over a week that were cheaper and a 100 times cleaner and nicer.

Could tell they have worked on this property recently to update. That being said, walking barefoot on the floor turned our feet black. The transition from the shower to the bathroom floor was loose. The hair dryer did not work. One of the usb ports for charging did not work, there was drywall dust on the molding in the bathroom, and the pillows were like cinder blocks. Also I’m told the smell from breakfast made its way into our room as we were adjacent to the lobby/ breakfast area and there is a door adjoining the two that’s likely not well sealed. The staff was very friendly and helped me with one issue I had. Also being right across the street from the beach was a huge plus. I’d think about staying somewhere else before coming back there but wouldn’t rule it out. Was just a lot of little things.

From check-in to check-out, my experience staying at the Scarborough Beach Motel is ALWAYS top notch. The interactions with staff are super lovely and my rooms are always super clean and cozy to stay in. I will always highly recommend staying here if ever someone is going out to the area! It’s been my top choice for the past 5 years and it will continue to be!

Rooms feel a bit damp even with AC on. Perhaps small dehumidifiers would help. As for the rooms basic but nice. Small fridge with actual freezer so you can buy ice cream for later. Small ice cream and food place I don't think they have an indoor place but they have picnic tables and umbrellas. Shower had built in bench great for getting sand from between toes. Staff was wonderful. This was our second year going. Just so you know out of state is only $12 for any of the beaches. If you walk on it's free . Being a smoker it was nice to have chairs outside each room with a table and ashtray. All things considered great quiet place to stay..

It was nice to have 3 beds in one room. Good for large family. Only downside was my Wi-Fi kept going out and has a small bathroom. Overall everyone was extremely helpful and it was a short nice walk across to the beach. I would stay again.

Scarborough Beach Hotel is perfect for beach lovers in Narragansett. Nothing fancy. Easy walk across street to the beach; leave car at hotel and avoid parking fees. Rooms are clean and very well designed - though they may feel small at first the furniture and layout kept us comfortable throughout the day and night. Staff is friendly and helps with any request.

I booked a non-refundable room. The day before my trip my wife tests positive for Covid. The fishing boat I was going on won’t let me on board. The fishing capt allowed me to postpone. I call the hotel. Nope. Can’t reschedule. Call hotels.com. They call hotel. Nope. Then I get a note saying we charged you for one night which was all I booked. Hope we get your business again. Right.

I love staying at the Scarborough Motel- It is our favorite motel and I will always stay there. I was disappointed that we were charged an early "check in fee" when we were the only guests there and our room was ready for us.

I screwed up and reserved a room for one night but intended two. At check-in, although I had to switch rooms for night 2, they fixed me up and both rooms were nice. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend to friends.

We never ended up staying here. I called to see if we could get a different room or a cot to accommodate 2 more people and the owner went off on me! Told me I could not not have any more people in the room and that if another car was in the lot they’d tow it or boot it. It was just a question! I was terrified that d sad I done would stop by and get their car towed, so we stayed somewhere else. We had to pay the first night too.

We chose this hotel because of the price, cleanliness, and location. Unfortunately, we came after dark and did not enjoy the beach across the street. The next morning wind and rain storm and put the power out as we were getting packed to leave. very friendly staff and cute lobby with a little breakfast. It meant all of our needs. would love to come back in the summer.

The property was clean and well maintained. I would suggest not only vacumming the room but also washing the floors in the room as well as the bathroom. The pads on the mops I saw being used were very dirty. I think they should be changed, for good health reasons, after each room is wiped down. I would have liked to see more choices for breakfast such as fresh fruit in season, whole wheat toast, and or small containers of yogurt

There was no pool…I thought there was. Breakfast was bagels an coffee. The place was clean and a short walk to the beach. For the price, I paid, a pool would have been wat I wanted.

Staff was pleasant and helpful to us. Room was clean. Townes were pilly and could use updating. There were things stuck on the wall in the bathroom. That was kind of gross. Breakfast was weak, a loaf of bread and frozen bagels. Hotel has beautiful view of the ocean. Can walk to beach across the street

We stayed for one night in October to visit our daughter at URI. The room had an amazing ocean view, and the sunrise was gorgeous! Although quite small, the room was very clean and updated. The staff were friendly and thorough. The breakfast was underwhelming, but did the trick! We would definitely stay again!

We loved the location directly across from Scarborough Beach. Staff is efficient and friendly. The room was extremely clean and updated recently. Free coffee and bagels in the morning! Highly recommend for a visit to the area.

This was an amazing place to stay, but beware in the off season there are few places around to eat at because they close in the winter. Perfect for a winter birding trip though! Would have liked some larger bath towels and more than 1 per person, but we made it work. The shower had amazing water pressure, but the temperature was a bit finicky. REALLY appreciate the fact that there was a mini fridge AND freezer so we coukd refreeze our cold packs for the long trip home.

Was a really nice place to stay you walk right across the street to a beautiful clean beach . Everything was about 7 mins drive away if you wanted to go anywhere . Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Will be staying there again on my next trip . Dayna

Check-in was quick and the young lady was friendly. The owner (lady) did not seem to speak much English so came across as unfriendly. The room was small but it is a motel. Looked as though it was newly refurbished but not the bathroom. The bathroom was very small, the shower was decent, no tissues. The room had an AC wall unit and a dehumidifier! The motel is right across the street from the state park beach. It was nice to wake up and take a nice leisurely walk on the beach. We must have picked the perfect time to be there (Monday, August 17th) because the beach was empty but for a few people running, another couple walking and the birds. Breakfast was a choice of bagel, tea, coffee & milk (I think they had a juice also in the refrigerator). Would stay here again.

Third or 4th year in a row here. Big advantages - spacious room, morning coffee, beach across the street. Staff super helpful and nice. What could improve? Pillows and bedspreads. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW.

Our room was very clean. The lobby staff was friendly and the breakfast items( bagels and coffee ) were great and all we needed. Next door is a breakfast and lunch and ice cream place that opens at 8am. Beach is across the street!
