Problems With Our Hotel Stay We have stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times over the years. It has always been a great place for us to stay, and we have always felt comfortable there—almost like it was our home away from home. That is why this recent experience was especially disappointing. I called the hotel before our stay and specifically requested a handicap-accessible room. I was told that one had been reserved for us. When we arrived, however, we were told that there was no handicap room available and that they had no other accessible rooms left. We left to attend our grandson’s football game. We were given no alternative, so we had to stay in the room. This was especially difficult because I needed an accessible room. The bathtub was difficult for me to get into, and the toilet was very low. I am thankful that I did not fall. The condition and cleanliness of the room were also very concerning. As soon as we walked into the room, there was a strong odor that smelled like a locker room. The smell was particularly noticeable around the carpet area beyond the bed. There also appeared to be evidence of a leak or water damage on the ceiling. I do not know what was causing it or whether there was mold, but the odor was extremely strong. We were on the 1st floor so it wasn’t a roof leak and it wasn’t from the bathroom above. Also our socks and feet were very dirty from carpet. My feet had lots of dirt come off in the bathtub. This did not feel like $1000 stay.

Vi fick ett rum som luktade illa, men vi fick byta det utan problem. Vi sov här 3 nätter. Mycket bra och stor frukost. Nära till restauranger och affärer. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår hotellvistelse.

The hotel as a whole was not updated/maintained enough for the asking price of the room. The bathroom looked like a kid built it. Tiles lifted off of floor, shower had holes and marks all in it. Breakfast was also subpar.. things were not turned on in time to be ready for breakfast,. options were minimal at best, I've always stayed at Holiday Inns, and this unfortunately was the worst one I have stayed in. On a better note, the staff was AMAZING!!!
